I just had this done along with Renuvion yesterday. I was awake, and while it felt weird as heck having rods stuck in under my neck, there was ZERO pain. The only pain I've experienced has been some soreness after the local anesthetic wears off. If you stay on top of your pain meds, that's not an issue, though. I'm looking forward to seeing my results in a few weeks!
Why don’t you have a team assisting with the surgery? I heard anesthesia is in use because anesthesiologist are expensive and surgeons. Want to be cheap. Is this true? What are your thoughts?
can you please discuss why it's not good to get chin lipo if you're going to gain weight later? I have seen a ton of influencers have kids after chin lipo and after they lose their baby fat weight their chins go back to when they got the lipo. Yes, they get chunky because that's normal but after they lose the fat their skin goes back. Can you discuss this?
@@FeliciaStands I actually only had mild discomfort when I moved my head after the procedure but no pain. From the third day onwards it got better and better. I had some minor bruising the first week but otherwise everything looked good
If you get chin lipo and THEN actively try to lose weight, can that still cause bad side effects or is it not advisable? I’ve been told it doesn’t matter to get it done and been told otherwise Thanks :)
Dr Patel I’m scheduled to get double chin Lipo. I’m 41 but look 33. I have hardly any wrinkles on my face and have good skin elasticity. They are reccomeding J-Plasma. But it’s 1900 more. Is it necessary? Tyia
Two weeks ago, I had a chin liposuction and I very, very, very regret the time I wasted, the money, and everything. I will think 100,000 times before doing any liposuction procedure anywhere in my body. I advise everyone not to be fooled by the pictures before and (immediately) after the operation, because the result changes after somedays as if nothing has changed. Instead you will get fibrosis and solid skin.
I got chin lipo at 53. Diabetic and asthmatic. Everything went well and im glad i did it.
Sooo happy for u
Thanks for your honesty!!! You’re one of the few doctors I see talking about risks or contradictions
ironically older women need it more than younger

Very helpful!! Always love your videos Dr Patel!
Can’t wait to get surgery with you!! 🎉
So what should people get if they want to get rid of their extra neck fat?
I’ve seen you have videos about not getting kybella either
Chin lipo over kybella any day
I thought the fat cells didn’t come back
They don't but the remaining can gladly fill the space of the ones missing.
What happens if you gain weight? Would it be more fat on double-chin than before lipo?
Being awake so the surgeon can use both hands? Ever head of assistants? No chance I'm staying awake for this.
I’d rather be awake… I wanna see what goes on exactly
I say the same 😢
update: I got chin lipo while being awake, lol. Pain level 5/10
@@j666fa 5😮 how did you come along in 1 week pain and appearance wise

Wait, you’re supposed to be awake while a metal rod is jabbed in and out of your chin? 🤯😮
Yep
Yes, but ZERO pain.
Really wish you were in Canada

does this procedure exacerbate globus sensation?
What about airsculpting? Fat loss injection?
