I am a 40yo female. I was very swollen for the first month, mostly on my left side. After the 5th week i started to see the swelling going down, and my skin feels tight and a bit sore. Then at around 6th week I started having breakout like pimples underneath my jawline. Now, that I am 3mths post op, my pimples has lessen, and drying up, and I am starting to see my jawline more define. I get a lot of compliments from friends n families and they are impressed with my result. I am still recovering, this experience was worth it for me. I hope u get the result you are looking for. No saggy skin for me.

@@moniquepena5234 Hi hun, I was very swollen the first 6 weeks. My left side was more swollen than my right and it was very sore and uneven. I have Lymphatic massage twice a day for about 10mins each time (doing it myself). It takes about 2mths for my friends to see the difference in my face. They said i look slimmer, they didn't know I had a chin lipo. I am 3.5mths now and I can still feel the tightness around my chin and jaw area and my swelling has gone down a lot. I would say I still have about 20% swelling. I am very happy with my result. Keep massaging your chin, I know is painful, but it helps with the healing process. Wait a little longer, u will see result. Good luck :)

I had Vaser chin lipo 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately can’t see any difference yet but the opposite, my double chin is lumpy, bumpy, uneven and my left side is bigger. I hope it’s just a swelling and not some fat left behind) and overall my chin is way bigger now than before. Freaks me out.
I massage it twice a day 15 mins each time and still wearing my face garment at night. (I wore it for 10 days straight 24/10 post op. & now only at night)
However comments like this putting me at ease knowing that I still need to wait patiently hoping my surgeon did a really good & even job.
Thank you so much for your feedback here. It helps a lot 🫶🏽

I had chin liposuction six weeks ago by a dermatologist who also specializes in liposuction, and I wish I could turn back the clock and not get it done. I immediately started developing hard lumps and scar tissue. My doctor said this doesn’t happen very often and in all of his years of practice, I am only the third patient who had this. I do not fault the doctor because he has a good reputation and a friend who went to him had excellent results. My neck looks completely deformed. My doctor said that this is fibrosis and there are things he can do, but I hate leaving the house. My doctor said those other two patients ended up okay but this could take awhile. He had to go in and break up some of the fibrosis, which wasn’t pleasant. Apparently, I am one of the unfortunate people who overproduce collagen immediately after liposuction. He injected cortisone and also said he will do ultrasound. I called a plastic surgeon in my desperation, and he said after a year if I was still like this, he thought a lower face lift involving the neck would fix the issue. This means I have 10.5 months of waiting. My doctor said he does think this will resolve and to not give up hope, but it’s difficult when my neck looks this bad. I am not exaggerating when I say this is hideous. I would hesitate to discourage others from getting this because most people have wonderful results immediately. The problem is that you just don’t know if you are one of the rare people who react so badly to such a procedure, like me.

@@Stupidfactory9, yes, thank you for asking. I am now 4 months post liposuction. In addition to him going in manually to break up the fibrosis and injecting cortisone, I have had one more cortisone shot and two Morpheus treatments to help resolve the fibrosis. The doctor also got his ultrasound machine back, and I have had twice weekly ultrasound treatments for the last three weeks or so. I will continue to get ultrasound twice weekly until mid July. On July 19th, he is going to do PDL to get rid of the redness and also do a dot laser treatment to tighten the skin, reduce the fibrosis further, and stimulate collagen in areas of ridges. My doctor is doing everything he can, and the Morpheus, PDL, and dot laser treatments would be very expensive if someone had to pay for their own. I no longer look deformed but my neck looks like it’s older than I am because there is still some lumpiness and ridges. My doctor assures me all will be fine in the end and to remain patient. Even if this turns out okay in the end, I still wish I would have taken the money spent on lipo and just had a lower face lift that includes the neck. I would be long healed by now. I’m happy for the majority of people who get great immediate results from lipo, but if I would have known of this complication, rare though it is, I wouldn’t have done it. Getting rid of the redness with the PDL is definitely going to make this a lot less noticeable so I can’t wait for July 19th to get here. Good luck to everyone else out there who have had similar problems. I hope everyone heals fine when all is said and done.

@@cheddershredder, no, he is not charging me, thank heavens. To date, I have had one session at the very beginning when he had to go in with a needle and break up the thick fibrosis, then subsequently a total of 3 cortisone shots, 2 Morpheus treatments, and 18 ultrasound treatments since February 28th, the date of the liposuction. The thick lumps are gone, but I have a lot of redness and ridged columns that make my neck look older than it is. He says the redness signifies healing and that time is our friend. I will see him back in about a month, and I know he has other treatments planned for me. If I had to make a guess, I would say it’s going to take another six months until I have received maximum recovery. I’m crossing my fingers that my neck will be completely better by then. Apparently, it’s extremely rare for anyone to have such a bad reaction to liposuction. I’m happy for the people who have great results, but wish I had never done it. I’m just thankful I have a doctor who is doing everything he can to help.

I can actually look at my face in the mirror which is life changing, as vain as that may seem. And because of that I’ve been getting back into makeup again!! Unfortunately double chins run in my family and no matter how much weight I lost my face would still appear chubby.
As far as any advice I have for people- keep wearing the compression garment even a bit after they tell you to take it off. It really helps to keep swelling down, which will affect how it heals.
Another piece of advice I have- even when you think the incision is closed, don’t mess with it at all for a few months. I was using a face massager and my incision dehisced, and I had to go to the ER to get it closed again! But that was my own fault 😅. I also learned that Mederma is pretty miraculous for scarring!

You will have a little sagging. I did. It’s not noticeable but I can see it , my jaw and my chin looks great, very sharp and natural, but yes, I have a little bit of loose skin where my fat once was 🥲

I had chin lipo almost 5 weeks ago and 3 days after my surgery I developed awful anxiety attacks which I still have. Could it because of the surgery another thing I did not drain not one bit after I went home. I’m scared it might be something serious from the surgery. Can you pleas guide me on what it could be Doctor? 🙏

How are you now? Maybe the anxiety attacks were from the anesthesia or did they give you pain medication? That can trigger anxiety as well.
