I am a 40yo female. I was very swollen for the first month, mostly on my left side. After the 5th week i started to see the swelling going down, and my skin feels tight and a bit sore. Then at around 6th week I started having breakout like pimples underneath my jawline. Now, that I am 3mths post op, my pimples has lessen, and drying up, and I am starting to see my jawline more define. I get a lot of compliments from friends n families and they are impressed with my result. I am still recovering, this experience was worth it for me. I hope u get the result you are looking for. No saggy skin for me.
It's been 1 month since I did my chin lipo and it still swollen and it looks like I still have a double chin how long did it take you to see the difference
@@moniquepena5234 Hi hun, I was very swollen the first 6 weeks. My left side was more swollen than my right and it was very sore and uneven. I have Lymphatic massage twice a day for about 10mins each time (doing it myself). It takes about 2mths for my friends to see the difference in my face. They said i look slimmer, they didn't know I had a chin lipo. I am 3.5mths now and I can still feel the tightness around my chin and jaw area and my swelling has gone down a lot. I would say I still have about 20% swelling. I am very happy with my result. Keep massaging your chin, I know is painful, but it helps with the healing process. Wait a little longer, u will see result. Good luck :)
I had Vaser chin lipo 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately can’t see any difference yet but the opposite, my double chin is lumpy, bumpy, uneven and my left side is bigger. I hope it’s just a swelling and not some fat left behind) and overall my chin is way bigger now than before. Freaks me out. I massage it twice a day 15 mins each time and still wearing my face garment at night. (I wore it for 10 days straight 24/10 post op. & now only at night) However comments like this putting me at ease knowing that I still need to wait patiently hoping my surgeon did a really good & even job. Thank you so much for your feedback here. It helps a lot 🫶🏽
I had chin lipo 2 weeks ago and it still feels sore and tight. Both left and right side look lumpy at the moment and I keep thinking something is wrong. Did any of you get lumps and if so how long till it went away?
I have three questions 1. I'm 71yrs old soon to be 72. is that to old for this procedure 2. What's the cost involved? 3. What's the recovery time? and where can I find a good one in the state of NC?
I’m so glad I didn’t go with kybella…the woman who did my consultation was honest, she told me I might as well spend it on lipo, and so I saved my money. I’m going in June 6, wish me luck. I’m really glad you were still able to get what you wanted but I’m sorry you had to spend twice as much.
@@Crgb777 I forgot to update!! So- a little over 6 months in and I couldn’t be happier with the results! The cost was $2500, so way cheaper than the kybella would have been, by about $1,000. I can actually look at my face in the mirror which is life changing, as vain as that may seem. And because of that I’ve been getting back into makeup again!! Unfortunately double chins run in my family and no matter how much weight I lost my face would still appear chubby. As far as any advice I have for people- keep wearing the compression garment even a bit after they tell you to take it off. It really helps to keep swelling down, which will affect how it heals. Another piece of advice I have- even when you think the incision is closed, don’t mess with it at all for a few months. I was using a face massager and my incision dehisced, and I had to go to the ER to get it closed again! But that was my own fault 😅. I also learned that Mederma is pretty miraculous for scarring!
Wear your compresion face strap as much as you can for at least 2 weeks. I was lazy about wearing mine and the results were okay but would have been better.
I got mine done last week. I'm only 3 days post op.. every doctor is different but I notice most doctors on TH-cam they mark along the jawline and they mark the end of your cheeks and do surgery along that. My doctor she only marked below my chin and neck on the side. I still see my chubby cheeks protruding out. I'm waiting a month to see what it looks like. Right now it's just swollen and still fluid inside.
I highly regret doing my buccal fat. in my case it took me 8 months for the results and all Im doing now is fillers trying to fix and yes it made me age
im the exact same thats why im here looking to now need my jawline sorted to balance it out. Seriusley regret buccal removal, my face look disproportionate, old and manly
Hello, I would like to know if it is true that this operation gives you a lifting result and how does this happen? Because when you remove fat volume, the logical thing is that the skin will deflate and sag, or is that not the case?
Hi Dr! Great and informative video as usual. I was wondering if it’s possible to have chin liposuction through an intraoral incision because I have keloid prone skin and some keloids along my jawline and am really worried I could get a keloid from the incision under the chin.
I tend to keloid but I wasn't concerned about that when I got chin lipo because the incisions are tiny, right under your chin and below your ears. Im almost 8 weeks out and my scars are normal. To help prevent keloids, the Dr. can inject the incision sites with steroids and/ or you can use silicone gel sheets.
@smileyfacewithsunglasses7613 I'm 5 weeks post op and my skin still feels slight tender and numb. When did your skin feel normal to the touch? My left side is also bigger but I'm hoping it's just swelling! It looks kind of lopsidesnand I'm scared. And just couple lumps but hopefully it all goes away
I look worse, I am depressed and in dispare and the flap of skin that hungs down has only changed places..and it is longer flap than before, plus 2 more small flaps of skin... And i wore the pressuee garment and my bite is off and my lower lip on the left side is hanging I have a goofy smile and I cannot sing now as the right side of the lip is not working and i have to be careful eating not to chew my lip off I did not have any fat only a flap...and now I am screwed up horrible It was done on Sept 22 2023 and it is oct 9 23, is there anything I can do, I have rubbed the scar and there is a hard knott on the long clavical on both sides, and tiny dots on my chin
You can, you can fat graft to cheeks and chin area. Just think about bbl , they transfer fat to your butt, it’s the same thing with your face. Makes you look younger.
Risks? I either die or live and look pretty. It’s a win-win.
You can live regardless of your looks.

that's for sure. Oral surgeons should always take a patient's high blood pressure before any surgical treatment

Arent there a bunch of nerves along the jawline? Isnt there a risk of facial paralysis!!????
Yes thats why you go to a board certified plastic surgeon not a med spa

@Foxleaf it looks somewhat better than before but I still see a little bit under my chin . Maybe after 6 months, Chin fillers will help .
