I just bought this same drone. Tried it out last weekend and just got my feet wet. I still need more practice. I seems like it's a pretty nice little drone for the money.
sannedy i ordered two drone from two different sellers, geekbuuing and gearbest. After emailing and getting a reply two days laters and on one instance live chat was painful like the connection was being transmitted through shoe strings, i decided I’ve had enough of that plus waiting. Based on that experience, i think support after the sale would be just as bad. Finally Ask for refund. Got refunds fairly quickly of a few days. On the contrary, got an accessory from DJI and their live support was available 24/7 with ease on the connection. Moral of the story for me is.... do your homework and seek out the best quality and support after the sale even if it means pay the extra cost for the item.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 Android phone. I downloaded the app for the drone. I cannot get the android to connect to the drone or controller. I've heard that this is a known problem and that the Holy Stone 720 likes the iPhone, but not so much the Android. Has anyone been successful in getting the drone app to run on an Android phone ??
I think you’re supposed to download an app on your phone and use your phone screen to do the videos from the drone but I’m sure either your instructions or the manufacturer will be helpful
Ross Aikin I called Holy Stone and they told me the card I was using was too “big” for the drone. I was using a 128gb sd card but it can only handle a card up to 64gb. So, I used a 32gb card and problem is fixed. Records to the card now! 😀

Sannedy I was like you I have my first drone I got two years ago from Christmas the 99 dollar Black Friday Special lol! I only flew it 2 times and both times an I couldnt control it and yesterday I crashed it into a tree and now the back right rotor is spinning slow. With that being said I look up a few drone and bought the 720 last night and after seeing your video I am glad I both it! It comes friday from Amazon..... Yeaaaaaa!!!! I have a few question. 1. What is the range 2. What is the battery life flight time 3. Do it protect itself from hitting obstacles Sorry so long but I am a gadgets guy myself and the long game is to get the Movic Pro but I want to learn how to fly better before dropping 1500 and hitting a moving Mack truck on the first flight lol!
Kelly James the flight time was about 20 min. And you will be able to fly this right out of the box, I promise. It does not have obstacle avoidance. So be careful of trees. Lol! But this drone is super easy to control! I actually returned mine because the camera quality was not up to par with what I needed it for. But if you are just wanting to fly and get better this is definitely the drone to get. I got the mavic air and man oh man! I love it!! The camera quality is magnificent. I have a video on that as well too! Check it out.
@@sannedy please send me the link for your pro and the cost! Also I am Retired Army and live very close to the Little Rock Airforce Base. Will that be a problem flying it here or must I go about 10 to 20 miles away to avoid a problem. Thanks
Kelly James honestly, I don’t know for sure. I think you’d have to do a little research for the area you live in. I know that you do have to register your drone when you get it (it’s not free)

you should buyHS 720E just upgrade. price are not much different you will not see the prop infron of Camera any more they also added Sony Tech sensor on it I juts bought one I love it
it might be the SD card you have to hit stop recording then take the SD card out because if you're still recording and pulled the SD card out you will corrupt the video
Sannedy....if i were you, wait on a much more reliable drone which has been backed up and proven by its manufacture reliability of its past products. Most reviews, not all but a great deal of them you read and hear about are based on one or two, at best, time flight experience with that product and links to buy it through them. So there is an incentive to lean or slant the review. Be aware.
did you figure out sd card. i am getting one (720) should be in this thursday. will be my first real drone. had a syma 50 $ drone. was never stable, non gps none everything. was horrible.. got caught in the wind about 100 ft high and it took it over river where batt died cause rivir was 1/4 wide so toy drones are a waste. well fish may like it , So i am a beginner also. also was called inspector gadget, always need tech fun

PN you know what.... you are totally right. Since I posted this review I took it out for several more flights and noticed that myself. This was my first ever drone and I’ve learned what to look out for since this review. Looking back on it it doesn’t deserve two thumbs anymore. It flies well but video quality is not great. I’ll post an update video soon.
I disagree... what jello means is your blades are off balance ..watch a Captain Drone video and you'll learn ya something about what jello is and how to deal with the issue...operator ignorance is no reason to return a drone

Yes. As mentioned above and confirmed by HolyStone the SD card must be 32G or less for this drone.

My 64GB and 128GB cards did not work and gave an error message for video. The 32GB card DID work!!!!!

Kelly James I cant remember exactly how much it cost to register but I don’t think it was over $20. I couldn’t afford the pro but it is like $1000.

I tried a 64 card and it does not work, I installed a 32 and now it wont connect to wifi
I ha no idea it would take 6 to 7 hours to charge, flight time was pretty good

@@sannedy it has a dampener on the camera which should be sufficient but like all low cost drone 99% of the problem would be an unbalance prop.
