Router table fences usually have a notch to clear the bits. Notch means open from front to back. However, if the hole in the fence only opens in the front, the hole will act as a dust collection port. There is no need to have a port behind the fence. I attached a dust nozzle to my Makita and it worked well. Thank you for asking!
