Absolutely Magical.! I must say that for a student as myself Master Serrano’s videos have given me More material to study than private classes; his educational videos are a real treasure.!
And you should be .There's nothing more beautiful then traditional Flamenco .I've been a fan of Flamenco for more then fifty years .Flamenco has a very rich history 👏
I think he is very charismatic ! So true. I couldn't take my eyes off him. He has a commanding presence ,as well as great guitar skill. Amazing. Very clear teaching
That's because European Spanish are a mix of Celtic , Germanic and Arabig . The Hispanikans or Hispanics were one of the few Celtic tribes of the Iberian Peninsula , along with The Lusitans of Portugal and some French Celts that decided to fight The Romans when their arrival there was imminent , the rest of the Celtic tribes of what is now Portugal , Spain and Western France , where they primarily lived , crossed The English channel into what is now England Scotland and Ireland but the Hispanikans and Lusitans decided to stay in their homeland and fight The Romans. As matter of fact , when The Romans invaded Wales , specifically what is now Cardiff , they saw an enormous physical resemblance of The Silures to the Celts of the area that now is Spain , their physical features and in the way they dressed made them strongly feel that the ancestors of The Silures were Celts from the Spain area that crossed The English channel during the Celtic Exodus to the British Isles . The Hispanikans and Lusitans lost , but unlike those of others who decided to flee , their name lives now for eternity. The Visigoths , a Germanic tribe , conquered all of the Iberian Peninsula for I believe 5 or 6 centuries , as a matter of fact , the one of the most Spanish last names , Gomez , is a Castellanization of the Germanic Visigoth surname Gomerkson , which means ' son of the brave man' , and finally you have the Arabig influence with its tremendous knowledge of mathematics as it is attested in the mathematic complexity of Flamenco music. Flamenco , like European Spanish people , is the mix of Celtic , Germanic and Arabig rhythms.
This is a remarkable treasure - both the music and performance. I have played the root version of this (from Juan Serrano Flamenco Concert Selections, Mel Bay Publication) for many years. The maestro's phrasing and performance nuances are a revelation. Thanks so much for this video.
@balkeztanulmany - Mel Bay MB93698BCD - Juan Serrano Flamenco Concert Selections - it comes with the CD. I have known Juan for almost 50 years, and he was my teacher. In fact, I consider him to be a "Teachers teacher"! He is so positive towards his students, and a very nice person.

Wow, I've never been one to have any kind of ambition or any kind of dream. But i've finally realized what that is. I want to travel the world and learn diffrent guitar techniques from diffrent people around the world. I've only been playing a year but i absolutely love this. It speaks to my soul.
me encanta me encanta!!! jaja esta demás el inglês. guan tu tri for guan tu tri for GENIO!!! ojala fuera mi profesor gracias por poner este video, los aspirantes a guitarra flamenca agradecemos!!
@rockomole You can find a transcription of this piece in Juan's "Flamenco Concert Selections" book from Mel Bay in both standard notation and tablature.
Grande señor Juan, ya les gustaría a muchos dominar el inglés como usted lo hace, estoy seguro de que en el extranjero le entienden porque habla bien aunque pronuncie como español andaluz...muy grande Juan Serrano, gracias por su sabiduría
for real it's something like arab- andalusian music ., El Flamenco is one one of the most beautiful similarities between the arabian musin and the gypsy or Los Gitanos music .. it's the similarity between two beautiful civilizations .. Islam
Muchas gracias, beautyfull Zambra from the Master. Just wonder what the purpose of the video inset is for? It's not zooming in or something like that : )
Chapeau, oui !
Does anyone know if there is a transcription available of this lesson? (in tab format). I just learned a Zambra Mora from one of Juan Martin's books and would like to incorporate some of the falsetas from this video. Thanks in advance!

@psychopathtoine It was a new technique at the time that this video was made. Funny how he describes going to drop - D: "maka da sick streeng sound like-a da fort" Cool video.
I Love this Video of Juan it's so old-school but so beautiful!
Juan Serrano belongs up there with the great Sabicas among the greatest flamenco masters of all time. I never get tired of seeing him play.

Don Serrano is himself a humblest and most charismatic person I know of in the whole flamenco.
I think he is very charismatic ! So true. I couldn't take my eyes off him. He has a commanding presence ,as well as great guitar skill. Amazing. Very clear teaching
This guy's accent is awesome! I heard him talk like he was russian, hispanic, german, and italian.
ahaha its like a Hercule Poirot with a russian father and a spanish mother

If you like this, listen to Paco Pena's Moruna.
This is a cool vid! I pinched a lot of these falsetas when i first saw it years ago.
Why is the inset picture the same size as the .... ??
haha, if you look carefully it's a *slightly* different angle. So they did actually set up a second camera but didn't zoom in, totally pointless :)
Mike Conover For the shorter members of the audience, dude?
hahaha
yeah, i can play the 3:56, the rest not so much... the coordination is so amazing...
Just practice the hand technique. And 5 to 10 years you'll be able to play your first song.
This is the end. Beautiful friend..

Muchas gracias, beautyfull Zambra from the Master. Just wonder what the purpose of the video inset is for? It's not zooming in or something like that : )
@joelakastud123 Arabic music has some scales that are impossible to play on most western instruments because they have quarter tones.

Chapeau, oui !
