You know what's worse? Yu-Gi-Oh the sacred cards, this game's predecessor is much easier because you do heal after battle, prices are much more fair and your deck restrictions are more lenient.
For people who might want to play this game, there is a patch with quality of life improvements that automatically restore your LP to 8K every duel (with exception of one place because plot) among other things like card price consistency, removal of banlist (because your opponents don't use banlist at all), and also the removal of that scan thing the game do every time you place a card down... it makes it a lot more fun to play
This brings me back. I grinded to beat this game once. I still remember how annoying it was. A few tips for anyone interested: 1) Traps that kill monsters are your friend as you try to grind. Beckon to Darkness is also really good. If you have the option of buying some, do so ASAP, as they can be lifesavers. If you can't beat a monster on the field quickly, things spiral out of control extremely quickly and it is nearly impossible to win at that point. 2) Winning usually entails getting out a monster the opponent cannot defeat easily. Tribute summon monsters are good for this early on, though cards that require 2+ tributes are usually not worth it (there are exceptions). Also, any effect monster that summons another monster is great, as if one gets destroyed, there is another that can be used for a tribute summon. Effect monsters are orange, so keep an eye out for them. 3) Get Vampire Lord, Dark Flare Knight, and The Winged Dragon of Ra: Phoenix Mode ASAP. They all have immediate effects upon discarding to summon powerful monsters, and since you can discard from your hand turn 1, they literally take over the game. Especially Winged Dragon of Ra: Phoenix Mode as it summons Winged Dragon of Ra, which is immune to spell/trap effects. It's literally an I-win card. 3.2) To get Phoenix mode, you need to enter it's password number into the password machine in Grandpa's shop after you obtain Ra, then go back and visit Marik. I'm not sure of it off the top of my head, but there are places that list all the passwords for the game, including Phoenix Mode's password. 4) There are 2 attribute-weakness cycles: (Thunder > Water > Fire > Forest > Wind > Rock > Thunder...) and (Dream > Dark > Light > Fiend > Dream...). Divine type is not affected by anything else. The only creatures with Divine are the Egyptian Gods and anything that is summoned through Ritual cards. 5) Fields raise the Attack/Defense of the appropriate monsters by 30%. It's a good thing to keep in mind, but since it is morbidly difficult to switch decks it's difficult to properly build decks to fight specific bosses. Speaking of which... 6) Grandpa's shop buys cards from you for 5% of their value (no seriously, it's 5%, not 50%). Since cards are so expensive, and that Grandpa is stingy, you need to sell everything you won't use aside from a few cards you can use as Ante fodder just so you can afford the really useful stuff. All you need is an extra monster with 500+ power (or some cheap spell/traps, I think Inexperienced Spy is considered a good Ante) as ante, and save as often as you can so that if you lose the ante, just save and reload. This maximizes your Domino return. 7) A monster is considered "hidden" until it is either left in attack position or attacked while face-down. Some monsters cannot activate their effect unless they are hidden. A hidden card has the green "R" in the bottom-right corner. 8) You cannot have more than 8000 life points entering a duel. If you heal above 8000, you default to 8000 next duel. If you have less than 8000, the amount carries over, so if you heal yourself in easy duels, the life gain is retained provided it is not over 8000. I have to leave so I can't quite finish, but please leave a question if you have any, and I will answer later. I'm sure there's a few other things I can say, like good places to grind.
great advice i never finished reshef but i did beat forbidden memories having to grind on low meadow mage to get dark magician meteor black dragon and other rare cards i got a megamorph from pegasus red eyes black dragon from jono 2nd
To add some trivia: A: The cost of a monster is *usually* defined by it's highest stat. So a 1500/100 Monster will be more expensive than a 1450/1450 Monster. Exceptions are cards with god-affinity (Cost 999) Spell and trap-cards follow no convention aside from "The more useful, the higher usually". This can be useful as there are cards that summon stronger cards, allowing you to play stronger monsters earlier on. B: The bane of your existence will be cards with permanent effects. While often quite strong (Slifer, Castle of Dark Illusions) their effects autoactivate after EVERY SINGLE THING that happens, not rarely trippling duel time. C: If you got the option: Link Duels (with a second game) will raise your level and capacity like crazy. D: Not only do beneficial Field spells boost your stats by 30%, opposing field spells will lower it by 30%. The Winged Dragon of Ra on Umi has 2800 Attack and Defense (Normal 4000). E: There is no way to increase attack and defense aside from field spells and gaining "levels" (Dunno how it's called in english). When you read that a cards strenght is increased by X levels then that means its attack and defense are increased by 500 times X.
A bit of further trivia: 1.: using your own field spells helps a lot in many major duels, since it not only decreses the cards of your opponent (who usually have synergie with only Yami field), but it increases your cards. see an umi ore Mountain as a 60% boost, if you manage to set your deck up. 2.: The "AI" is almost horrificly stupid. or, at least programmed very naive. it will always behave the same way: If it can kill a monster, it will attack that monster. it will taget the strongest monster, it can kill. if it can't kill a open monster, it will ALWAYS attack a face down monster, if it can find one. no matter, how obvious the trap is. You can have a 5000atk monster right next to it, or have trbuted 3 monsters to set your monster face down, it will attack, even if it obviously kills himself. If the AI can tribute summon, it will. even if he summons a water monster against your thunder monster on the field. I won battles, just because my opponent saced 2 monsters, that would have killed me, just to summon a Light monster, against my dark monster. (Seto Kaiba comes to mind) 3.: Slifer and Obelisk are usually not really worth it, but put them in your deck anyway. they cost 0 capacity, and you have to have 40 cards in your deck. Capacity will always be your biggest problem. 4: try to avoid fairy monsters, and other ones, that are weak on Yami field. even if your strategie consists on using your own field, to many duels start with yami.
this comment (and the replys) are very nice both to reshef and sacred cards (since they are very similar). So thank you for making thus comment, now my sacred cards playthru is gonna be easier, even tho its not even hard in the first place xD.
@@plasmaglowmusic1655 he knows, thats why he said "youre not wrong" it dosnt make sense as its said, because its missing context.. its sitll right however
1:42:58 "No, game over" Reminds me that in Golden Sun right after the first dungeon you have the chance to say no to saving the world. If you do, the world dies and you get a game over.
So, you actually need to rest to get back your LP in this game... In Reverse of Arcadia if you check some beds, a text like this appears: "Rest in this comfy bed and your LP will be restored... Yeah, right...". I wonder if that's a refence of this game.
I remember using Doron in the sacred cards. Somehow he is an effect monster and if you use his effect he just creates a copy of himself so you get two 900 attack monsters for the price of one
The final boss can use the most broken cards of the game at 3 copies, 4 stars monsters with 1800+ Atk points and they all get stronger by the automatic field spell
I remember playing this as a kid and not understanding a thing, because it was in english (not my mother tongue) and also because the rules are completly changed. This game was unbeatable for me so im excited to see you try it :D
I remember spending almost a week between plot duels just grinding off Yugi and Joey to get my deck capacity high enough to assemble a somewhat functional deck.
@@fernandoguillenperez7686 Fucking wild. That's like... 600 extra deck capacity. Barely enough to put in like 3 good cards. In Sacred Cards you'd get 10 deck capacity per duel so a total of 2000, enough to get you through the whole game from start to finish lol.
“The other one was stupidly easy.” Well to be fair, it gave you Obelisk too early and made its effect “destroy all monsters your opponent controls and deal 4000 damage”...
I still beat it without that card. You can buy all the best cards for pretty cheap, so it's just a matter of getting your duel level high enough and you can destroy anyone. Complete opposite of this game.
in addition, you got way more deck points meaning you leveled up sooner, cards had different and lower levels, you could bet cards you only had one of, life points capped at 9999, cards were cheaper, didnt cost 1000 to input a password, life restored automatically. MUCH easier.
Kaiba: "I play pot of greed, it allows me to draw 2 cards" YuGi: "not so fast Kaiba! You already have 4 cards in your hand! You can only draw 1! Kaiba: "Wait... What?"
The best cards in this game are the ones that summon another monster, or the ones that summon a monster from the graveyard. For the former, Toad Master and Spirit of the Books are two, but it'll be a while until you can use the latter. As for the latter, the best cards for those (and some of the best in the game) are Different Dimension Dragon, Vampire Lord, Dark Flare Knight (Limited to 1), and Winged Dragon of Ra: Phoenix Mode
Oh yeah, despite this game being a sequel to Sacred Cards, somehow there are 100 less cards here in this game than there were in the previous game (800 to Sacred Cards's 900).
Tried this one when I was younger and yeah, this games essence is literally a grindy hell. Gave it up halfway, but sometimes it can be fun too + Storyline is (for a YGO game that appears to be a sequel of sacred cards) refreshingly original. I wish you luck, my Moomin loving friend.
29:29 Shadow Spell was a spell card in the manga / Japanese version of the anime, often used by Seto Kaiba. Now why there's an Egyptian God Crab Turtle I, well I don't know
ive been waiting for this one for a while. i played this one as a kid and had a good time when i wasnt losing due to level crap. theres tons of secret events and other missable cutscenes and duels. such as a duel against rebecca if you go to kaiba corp BEFORE beating the duel express event (ends when you get the millenium item) random notes: -important note jumping to the top. you do NOT have to actually select A on defense. you can press B to leave the monster in that position while leaving it selectable if you change your mind. this also prevents annoying stuff like permanant effect markers from triggering every action. -the ai will always attack you if you have a face down monster unless they have no atk. they also will always attack if they have an elemental advantage. furthermore, they always choose the leftmost facedown card on your field if everything is either facedown or undesireable via too much point difference or disadvantage. exploitably, they attack with the highest atk one first too. -when a card like fiends hand or beckon to darkness kills a monster, it takes the one with the highest atk. -when you ante, pick a good one that you have multiple copies of. if you pick crap, you get crap upon winning. -every 3 deck points is 1 level. people who give you 1 point are generally reduelable. -this game is full of references, like the jumpsuit guy at the duel express and the kid in the glasses in the top right of domino (this guy likes zombyra and even cosplays as him in an event ingame). he was in the manga and he fought joey in a fist fight with knives in their mouths (only joey did this) -remember to try buttons (L, R, Start, Select). when you see a list, you can often choose a sorting method or just flip through them in sequence. -the password terminal is stingy in this game as getting a card code wrong still steals 1000 domino from you. -Petit moth is one of the best cards you can get in the early game. it costs 16 to use, and every turn its alive, it turns into the larvae moth until the perfectly ultimate great moth. -careful about placing monsters on the far right. its entirely possible to accidentally send a monster to the graveyard if you summon over an old monster on the same slot. -powerups are gained via a level system. every level is 500 points to atk and def. -you can move cards in and out of the deck in the trunk by pressing left or right. -no, i DONT want to know about this sol chevalsky guy. -theres a duel machine in kaiba corp to the right of the statute. its a bit hidden, but its got great rewards for midgame and lategame players. -in this game, the graveyard consists of only the last monster to die. monster reborn as a result will revive the last monster in the opponents graveyard. reviving, gravedigger ghoul, either will remove it and it becomes blank again.
Funny thing is forbidden memories and duelist of the roses are more fun than most traditional mechanic yugioh games to me, so I feel like I'd enjoy this one
@@calvinsimpson1301 Especially Duelist of the Roses. Its chess but with Yugioh Forbidden Memories mechanics thrown in. Honestly, I would build a deck solely to play this format
This nonsense, rage inducing game was a large part of my childhood. I never could defeat reshef. Going to dig out my cartridge and try again. Despite how much this game is just sheer nonsense, it has a certain charm that I love.
Also, all ritual monsters back in the day were divine attribute, which I thiiink basically just made them exempt from the type match-up advantages/disadvantages...I remember always wanting to see a re-tooled Javelin Beetle released haha
I remember my brother having trouble with this game (mostly due to its difficulty) but silly me was like "it can't be that bad". But once I tried it, I was like "am I on Bizarro Land or something?"
Forbidden Memories was my jam when I was younger, would love to see Pikasprey play it (specially because the rules make no sense like in this game lol)
You can actually end up with a card in face down attack position, but it can only be done with “Darkness Approaches” from Magic/Spell Ruler. It allows you to flip a card facedown in the position that the card is currently in. Its pretty weird lol
I also love that the trunk shows EVERY SINGLE CARD IN THE GAME instead of only the cards you really own. You know, like in every other YuGiOh game...............
You can always watch the anime they always do a wonderful job of explaining their cards except for that one time when Jaden didn't explain what skyscraper did.
This game was so damn hard, I had to use an Action Replay to advance in it back in the day. Forbidden Memories too, but I beat that one legit, somehow.
@@ArtisChronicles The idea of making an army with monsters is really cool, and stuff like fusion and team attacks keeps things fresh. It's just soooo slow.
@@fernandoguillenperez7686 That's a hard disagree for me. The last forbidden and limited list severy hit Salamangreat's consistency and made it easier to deny their grind game by banishing their single copy of Gazelle (trough Called by the Grave or Sky Striker Shark Cannon) the deck is still pretty decent but I'd actually put Pure Thunder higher on the tier list right now.
@@fernandoguillenperez7686 Eh, maybe it's just the differences in the decks we play, but Salamangreats, while formidable, are pretty easy to stop now. So many limited playmakers. The meta is pretty balanced right now, only Guardragons really feel like that big of a problem, but I'm not even seeing them around much now that Pure Thunder is getting more popular.
I used to play dark duel stories and it had the same thing as the leveling up to add cards thing. It took forever to add things like dark hole to your deck since its cost was like 200 something. And thank you! I never understood why my cards would randomly lose when being higher! DDS has that elemental weakness thing so I couldnt beat it as a kid. Thank you for helping me understand. Just got back to it recently and finally beating it aha
@@QuickSilverKitsune all 3 actually. slifer is easy to deal with if you get dragon capture jar. if you managed to stalemate the duel, you can deck out anyone.
There was a Yugioh game on the Gameboy Color that had a similar system where it also took elements into account. It was pretty annoying to summon a blue eyes white dragon and have it killed by a two star shadow creature automatically. It did allow you to collect parts of cards and create your own custom cards though. And that was always cool.
i never remembered the name of this game, but i loved this game as a kid. ofc i dont think i ever got close to beating it, i remember getting stuck at a specific battle for months before losing the game
beat it almost legit ,had to use the phoenix mode code in the last fight. i made a deck that spams monsters for the gods + op magic and traps i guess you will find out what to do. i love this game and the best part is hands down the hall of eternity with the fair 30 and 60 k life points opponents :D
With all the most broken cards at 3 copies like change of heart, thounsand eyes restrict, torrential tribute, monster reborn, 4 star monsters with at least 1500 atk and these are stronger by the automatic field spell
So you're playing Reshef of Destruction. I'm not sure whether to wish you luck or offer my condolences. For what it's worth, here's some advice that might make things slightly easier: - When something happens that can trigger a Trap, the game checks your Traps from right to left, and activates the first one it finds that meets its activation condition. If you keep this in mind when placing your Traps, you can avoid wasting a stronger Trap when a weaker one would have done the job. - If you can manage to get Dark Flare Knight (and the Duelist Level to use it), put it in your Deck, but don't ever actually Tribute Summon it. Just discard it using the manual discard option to spawn a Mirage Knight (2800 ATK) for free (which will then split into a Dark Magician and a Flame Swordsman when you end your turn). You can use the same exploit with the Phoenix Mode version of The Winged Dragon of Ra, once you're able to unlock that (which requires a password, and even then can only happen pretty late in the game). - The more useful Traps you can get, the better. And on that note, once you start being able to use it, Trap Master will be a godsend. The AI does not even try to play around the Acid Trap Holes it creates, and those will take out pretty much anything your opponents throw at you even toward the end of the game.
@@sevaansevant Hm, I'd have to double-check which direction it goes. If I remember correctly, it was one way in Sacred Cards, then switched for this game. And yes, that is super weird.
it was still left to right. ai just chooses monsters to attack from right to left or by who is strongest if the ai has to choose a face down monster to attack.
Aaah GBA Yu-Gi-Oh. The memories..... I didn't play this one, but I like the aeathetics of the GBA graphics in these games. I played the Sacred Cards, not much of a story there, but I think it's better qua gameplay. But I like the more "detailed" storyline of this one more. And yay for the Brooklyn Rage accent!
The Ritual Monsters only need the Ritual Spell to be summoned. The actual Monster doesn't need to be in the deck. Or at least, it was in The Sacred Cards.
I feel you bro.... as a kid i could't beat this damn game, way toooo hard. But this year 5 months ago i finished the game *.* Traps are so important in this game
Torrential tribute is a Mirror Force in this game and Heavy Storm do the same as Black Rose Dragon Only the egypcian gods are inmune to all the effects, except the increase/decrease Atk and defense points
Really glad to see this here, I hope the difficulty doesn't discourage you from beating it, after all it does feel pretty rewarding when you get things done
1:13:53 That would be an interesting way of rulesharking someone, if this game was played in a tabletop setting. "Oh, no, don't win via Exodia because you aren't a 'he'."
"Don't you wanna know about this mysterious Sol Chevalsky?" Getting looped as long as you say no remembers me in Emerald when you say when Professor Birch asks you to go see your rival
There is only a little better than 1 in a million chance that you pull off a 1st turn exodia (1/(40 choose 5)). Even if you could reset and check once every 5 seconds, it would take you over 26 days of nonstop resetting to get a 50% chance to pull it off and over 175 days for a 99% chance to pull off the 1st turn exodia win. And that's assuming perfect random chance, which this uses a pseudo random algorithm, so in reality it could be even less likely.
You don’t need to be max level to use Ritual Monsters. The way Ritual Monsters work in this game is that they can either be ritual summoned (which IIRC doesn’t require a very high level for the most part) or normal summoned if your level is maxed out and you have the monster in question. To ritual summon in this game, you need a Ritual Spell Card, a specific monster on your field (the ritual spell will tell you which monster you need), and two other monsters on your field. Sacrifice the two non-specific monsters, activate the ritual spell, and watch the specific monster be transformed into the ritual monster. For example, to ritual summon Hungry Burger, you need the ritual spell Hamburger Recipe, the monster Bio-Plant, and two other random monsters. Tribute the two monsters other than Bio-Plant, activate Hamburger Recipe, and voila - Hungry Burger is served!
Oh no. Not this one. I know it might be too late, but there is a patch that fixes the most annoying aspects of the game. Some of the things it does: -Selling a card gives you 50% of the card's price (Less grinding) -Cards can be sold even at 1 copy (Less grinding) -Card prices never change (Less grinding) -Life points always start at 8000 for the player (No more going back to your house all the time) -Duelist level no longer does anything (No more bullshit restrictions to which cards you can add to your deck) -Permanent effects show text only once per card (That was annoying) -The permanent effect cursor no longer has to take 2 seconds of your time to scan the board (Thank God!) -Some changes to a few cards, like accurate TCG stats for monsters and effect animations for spells and traps Here's the topic made by its creator with a link to the patch. Anyone who wishes to try this game and don't lose their sanity or who previously played it and rage quit it (my case), please check it out. The game becomes quite enjoyable with it, and some of the sprite animations are very well done and worth a look. www.reddit.com/r/yugioh/comments/66xv1i/patch_for_yugioh_reshef_of_destruction_it_might/
You can find Rebbeca before the first boss in Kaiba Corp and she have Soldier Cannon 1400 Atk way too powerful to this point of the game. Luckily this game works like pokemon. Fiend->Dreamer->Shadow-Light->Fiend. Fire->Forest->Wind->Earth->Thunder->Water->Fire
Oh and Mai has access to it because she works for the cruise line. If you remember the show they had a flashback during Battle City just before she dueled Magnum where she defeated him while she was a cruise ship employee and he proposed to her.
This game is hard , but if your 13 in 2003 and have nothing to do but level grind , it’s not that bad . I literally got this during summer break and played this for like 40 hours
The overworld is being reused from the Yu-Gi-Oh tournament game that basically follows the show. The trunk aesthetics look like they are from the weird ps1 game where you are the pharaoh and can summon any monster without sacrificing. Also the attribute thing was in both games but the pharaoh one was "planets" like Mars was fire and gave 500 point bonus instead of instant death.
this is a game I now want to play. I have a few Yu-Gi-Oh games to catch up on! hopefully that password system is still in this game I have cards I can add to my game that way
You can always grind yugi, joey, duke and tristan, you must defeat each one of them 30-50 times to have a decent deck capacity at the start to the game, get some cards and sell the weakest ones to at least buy 1-3 monster cards from yugi's grandpa
Here's the story of this game This kids school had a contest that the winner spends a day with yugi but when you win yugi forces you to play duel monsters
Pikasprey, you might never see this comment, but you inspired me to pick this game back up on a good ol' emulator. I had it as a child physically and never managed to make it past Rex because what absolute horse shit he put me through. With access to a fast forward button, I am able to finally play this game as it was intended. Fairly. I also wish you did this in the b eginning, but there's a card known as Kairyu-Shin. I'm pretty sure you picked it up at some point in your let's play. It's very cheap and you have access to it immediately. With one sacrifice, it gives you the ability to put UMI on the field (Which is great for me because I love water decks) You can....literally steam roll through the entire game because you get a ton of water and thunder monsters. It would have made your grinds so much easier. Cheers though mate.
Can you imagine making a game that canonically takes place after the events of Battle City, where Ishizu has given Yami the 3 Sacred God Cards and the evil force that was possessing Marik has been banished to the Shadows but for whatever reason Kaiba is just cool with everyone using the Inferior Duelist Kingdom rules where Atk Points don't matter and all that really matters is what Element vanquishes what other element it challenging. This 200 Atk Light Attribute monster vs this 3000 atk Beatstick that happens to have a Darkness Attribute to it? Its like if Tea suddenly became the fucking Queen of Games because she was so objectively awful as a duelist she had to fucking make up rules to hide the fact her deck was beyond salvaging.
I came back to visit this series wanting some nice chill Yugioh to keep me company through some issues, and I have to say it feels really strange hearing Asprey swear just cuz I'm not used to it. xD
Here's a little fun fact did you know that the opponents in this game can change the cards in their hand and that the final boss has Exodia in their deck and they can just change every card in their hand to be Exodia
@@bongosmcdongos4190 yeah if he AI doesn't have anything it likes it will change the Cards into in its hands to give itself something it like and the final boss has Exodia the only way to get the AI to not change the cards in their hand if you reveal their hand they can't change any cards that been revealed
I must admit, I'm pleasantly surprised with the amount of great pixel art in this, the character portraits, the mini card versions in the trunk, the card details screen and the card in duel, all different pixel art versions for each card. The character sprites are soooo basic though
The worst part about this game is how slow your deck capacity goes up and the game spikes in difficulty extremely fast the sacred cards was a joke but the sequel they took feedback from the last game a little too seriously and effectively made the dark souls of card games

This brings me back. I grinded to beat this game once. I still remember how annoying it was.
A few tips for anyone interested:
1) Traps that kill monsters are your friend as you try to grind. Beckon to Darkness is also really good. If you have the option of buying some, do so ASAP, as they can be lifesavers. If you can't beat a monster on the field quickly, things spiral out of control extremely quickly and it is nearly impossible to win at that point.

This can be useful as there are cards that summon stronger cards, allowing you to play stronger monsters earlier on.

@@CarmsCelestia Great added trivia!
A bit of further trivia:
1.: using your own field spells helps a lot in many major duels, since it not only decreses the cards of your opponent (who usually have synergie with only Yami field), but it increases your cards. see an umi ore Mountain as a 60% boost, if you manage to set your deck up.
2.: The "AI" is almost horrificly stupid. or, at least programmed very naive. it will always behave the same way:
If it can kill a monster, it will attack that monster. it will taget the strongest monster, it can kill. if it can't kill a open monster, it will ALWAYS attack a face down monster, if it can find one. no matter, how obvious the trap is.
(Seto Kaiba comes to mind)
3.: Slifer and Obelisk are usually not really worth it, but put them in your deck anyway. they cost 0 capacity, and you have to have 40 cards in your deck. Capacity will always be your biggest problem.
4: try to avoid fairy monsters, and other ones, that are weak on Yami field. even if your strategie consists on using your own field, to many duels start with yami.

Fucking wild. That's like... 600 extra deck capacity. Barely enough to put in like 3 good cards. In Sacred Cards you'd get 10 deck capacity per duel so a total of 2000, enough to get you through the whole game from start to finish lol.
“The other one was stupidly easy.”
Well to be fair, it gave you Obelisk too early and made its effect “destroy all monsters your opponent controls and deal 4000 damage”...
MUCH easier.

theres tons of secret events and other missable cutscenes and duels. such as a duel against rebecca if you go to kaiba corp BEFORE beating the duel express event (ends when you get the millenium item)
random notes:
-important note jumping to the top. you do NOT have to actually select A on defense. you can press B to leave the monster in that position while leaving it selectable if you change your mind. this also prevents annoying stuff like permanant effect markers from triggering every action.
-this game is full of references, like the jumpsuit guy at the duel express and the kid in the glasses in the top right of domino (this guy likes zombyra and even cosplays as him in an event ingame). he was in the manga and he fought joey in a fist fight with knives in their mouths (only joey did this)
-remember to try buttons (L, R, Start, Select). when you see a list, you can often choose a sorting method or just flip through them in sequence.

So you're playing Reshef of Destruction. I'm not sure whether to wish you luck or offer my condolences. For what it's worth, here's some advice that might make things slightly easier:
- When something happens that can trigger a Trap, the game checks your Traps from right to left, and activates the first one it finds that meets its activation condition.
Ancient Lamp, Revival Jam, Doron are 2 monsters in one in this game
@@sevaansevant Hm, I'd have to double-check which direction it goes. If I remember correctly, it was one way in Sacred Cards, then switched for this game. And yes, that is super weird.

Some of the things it does:
-Selling a card gives you 50% of the card's price
(Less grinding)
-Cards can be sold even at 1 copy
(Less grinding)
-Card prices never change (Less grinding)
-Life points always start at 8000 for the player (No more going back to your house all the time)
-Duelist level no longer does anything
(No more bullshit restrictions to which cards you can add to your deck)
-Permanent effects show text only once per card (That was annoying)
-The permanent effect cursor no longer has to take 2 seconds of your time to scan the board (Thank God!)
-Some changes to a few cards, like accurate TCG stats for monsters and effect animations for spells and traps

Deck Capacity, at least you don't pay for it.
Oh the (painful) childhood memories are coming back
