Have you taken anything out of a trash pile to upcycle?
Yes. And my kids couldn’t believe it. That I was “Digging in the trash” lol
Those turned out awesome. That deck cleaner and the ryobi sprayer are now on my to buy list.
At Restore, they had some small pallets for free, so I played around with them there until I got a sense of how many I needed to make a raised garden bed. A man there was sort of making fun of me until I told him my plan and then the lightbulb went on over his head and he took the rest of them! Never underestimate me. I used paint that I got for free. The soil was the only thing I paid for and it wasn't cheap. The raised garden bed is still going strong 5 years later.

You inspired me to do the same. Found a set of Adirondack chairs somebody was discarding, got them off the curb, sanded, repaired and stained navy blue!

Oh wow! who doesn't love an Adirondack chair, and to be lucky enough to find them in the trash is just amazing, and you both are so awesome at DIYing things and I really loved seeing this video and if I ever get lucky enough to find some of those chairs I will be doing a DIY on them as well, I love wood because it always seems to be a better thing rather than plastic. I have! I found an adorable little child's rocker in a neighbor's trash. I cleaned it up and made new cushions and gave it to my sister for her little girl. My daughter already had my childhood rocker.
I should add that for some reason I was no longer subscribed to your channel. Luckily, I happened upon one of your emails and found you again. I was shocked when I saw I was no longer subscribed. That's happened before, along with being subscribed to channels I never heard of before, but not for quite some time. I'm so glad I thought to check my "other" email. I need to get better at that.
