Wow! That seems to cover very nicely!

Yeah, the airless really does spray quite a bit of paint. Thanks for checking out the video!

This looks nice! I've been watching all your videos about the HVLP and then saw you're using the this airless as well.
I'm in the market for a paint sprayer and still deciding which one is best suited for me. I'm a woodworking hobbiest and really don't like to do the finishing but I really wanted to overcome that fear. I like to build furnitures for around the house and finishing projects around the house like window trimmings and such. From your experience between HVLP and the Airless sprayers which would you recommend? I don't have the budget for 1 and not both. Would you have used the Airless sprayer on your furniture from your room refresh? If not is there a reason?
    TIA.

Thanks for checking out my videos!
I have been very happy with my Fuji Semi-Pro 2. I have sprayed everything from polyurethane to latex paint with it. I do have to thin latex and thicker material before spraying it but the finish turns out great. The "Room Refresh" was an experiment to see if I could spray the thicker latex with the Fuji SP2. I didn't have the airless when I re-painted the furniture so not sure if I would have tried that first, however, glad I did it with my SP2 as I think it turned out pretty good. The key for me was using the 2.0 cap set and thinning ~8%. Based on my very limited experience with my Graco TC Pro (Ultra) airless I do not think I would want to spray polyurethane or stain with it. Not sure the finish would turn out as nice as with my Fuji SP2. It does spray a heavy coat and I think I will use it mostly for outdoor projects or maybe primer coats. It was nice not to have to thin the milk paint that I used on the Adirondack chairs.
I think the biggest decision point is what you will be spraying - based on your description of furniture and window trim it sounds like you will primarily be spraying poly and stains and occasionally thicker stuff like latex or milk paint -- if that is the case I would go Fuji SP2, if you are primarily going thicker stuff like latex then perhaps the Graco TC Pro (Ultra) airless.
In both cases you will need somewhere to spray and don't forget to get a decent ventilator and some goggles! Good Luck!

@@warrentonwoodworks thank very much for your reply. I will be using mostly latex furniture paint so I'm guessing I will go with the Airless unless I'm willing to spend thousands for the 5 fan turbine without diluting.

The larger turbines are definitely pricey! I have been happy with my two turbine Fuji SP2 but I spray mostly poly/stain/lacquer and occasionally latex. I do think the latex out of the SP2 looked good even after thinning and will probably stick to the SP2 for indoor furniture for now. Once I get more comfortable with the airless and have more experience with it (outdoor furniture) and a better feel for the spray tips, pattern, etc., I may try it on indoor furniture, however, at this point I have only done outdoor projects with it. For what it's worth my Fuji SP2 does produce a finer finish than my Graco TC Pro (Ultra) but they both are easy to use, and way better than brushing and rolling! Good luck with all your furniture building and finishing.

If you had to spray some shaker style kitchen cabinets would you use the Fuji HVLP or the Graco airless?

Good question! I am trying to figure that out myself for my kitchen cabinets - I need to decide whether to use my Fuji SP2 or Graco TC Pro. I am also trying to determine whether to use BM Advance or BM Command - think the only thing I have decided at this point is to use Stix bonding primer. To compare the two guns and get some experience with Command I sprayed half of some planters I just built with the SP2 and half with the TC Pro. I will finish up the video tonight and hopefully get it edited and uploaded by the weekend. To answer your question I will probably be going with the Fuji SP2 and thinning the paint ~ 8 percent. To be fair I did not test the Graco TC Pro with thinned paint and one of their fine finish spray tips which would have been a better comparison. I have a lot more experience with my SP2 and can spray thinner coats with more control with it than I can with the TC Pro and feel like the only downside is thinning the paint. If you are interested in a comparison video that includes some additional observations I will be done with the video tonight and should have it uploaded by the end of the week - you can get first hand look at the two. Good luck with the cabinets!
