Salam alaikum, here in New Zealand 80% of the meat is Halal because of the export to the Arabian Gulf, Malaysia and Indonesia. The abbatoirs have muslim slaughter men in key operation areas to perform Halal rites. What is the situation in the US and Canada. It would be a good idea for muslims to invest in small, mini abbatoirs located near key cities to meet the needs of the muslim communities there.

@@Mmhs91 So how do you manage, do you form groups and go to farms, every two, three months? Also families should have chest freezers.
Furthermore if one didn’t say bismillah out of forgetfulness (ie he realized after the dhiba that he forgot) the consensus from all madhabs is that it’s still ok to eat!!! Our beloved sheikh forgot to mention this hehe. All the more reason to favor the Shafi position

Some people said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Meat is brought to us by some people and we are not sure whether the name of Allah has been mentioned on it or not (at the time of slaughtering the animals)." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said (to them), "Mention the name of Allah and eat it."
حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ الْعِجْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطُّفَاوِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ،، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ أَنَّ قَوْمًا، قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ قَوْمًا يَأْتُونَنَا بِاللَّحْمِ لاَ نَدْرِي أَذَكَرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ أَمْ لاَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " سَمُّوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ وَكُلُوهُ ".

I think the sheik answered his own question , where he said do not eat anything without the name of Allah been mentioned , it did not say slaughter !! , Imam Malik said you can say bismillah before or after it does not matter .

What if the Christians when slaughtering says in the name of God , his son and Holy Spirit cause this is shirk .is it allowed even if the slaughtering is proper ?

YQ is slightly wrong on 1 issue- Malik said ahlal kitaab do NOT need to say bismillah which seems obvious I don’t know why hanafis don’t get this- the hanbalis and salafis found a middle ground by saying don’t ask don’t tell should be the policy and you say bismillah over the food when eating.
honestly if ur willing to eat an animal that's been malnourished sick and mistreated than ur just putting ur own life at risk

Is shaykh qadhi following the hanafi or hanbali Madhab? I've heard both
He doesn't follow any specific madhab but he all respect them.

Assalamualaikum Sheikh I know some people mentioning Allah s.w.t and Prophet s.a.w. names before slaughtering the animals. Is it allowed to eat this meat or not.

What if someone forgets to say Allah's name before slaughtering I have red that ibne Taimiyyah say it will be haram even because of forgetfullness but maliki,hanbili and hanafi thinks the meat will be halal.
but why would a christian/jew say the name of God (tasmia) even if they are believing and practicing?
Maybe some might say but even though they don't mention it, the meat is halal if the conditions are fulfilled

If it did not die with the stunning, then it was slaughtered after; then it is halal according to what this Sheikh said.

@E. Postbode let me tell you something about restaurants doesn't matter if it's upscale or not... When it gets busy they use whatever knife is available... Of course that should be the last of your worries because they use the same towel all day to clean and out out food back into their bins... Restaurants are so disgusting and that's just the tip of it.
Make your own pizza or buy from Muslim pizza joints.

every pizzza place will cut your pizza with a cleaner cutter if you ask them to. Its a part of their health policy at least in Canada and the US

Bismillah means in the name of God. One way of showing gratefulness and thanking him for the food. What is wrong in mentioning the name of one who created us ?? What is so nonsense about it?
