I am a Geologist and I think the dukan will be a 'supervolcano' which might trigger the earthquakes, and the magnetic reversal of the earth might cause it to revolve around the sun in a way that to us it might appear as the sun is rising in the west.

Assalamu alaikum warahamatullahi wabarakatuhu, I have some beneficial points to share. First, the fact that 3 of 10 Major signs are referring to the Three Earthquakes show how TREMENDOUS these will be. We could easily mention these Earthquakes in 5 seconds, but one has to remember that 30% of the 10 Major Signs are dedicated to these massive Earthquakes!! I mean, they are so massive and tremendous that it is not a single major sign "Three Earthquakes", but rather, that Three Earthquakes refer to three major signs! Allahu musta'aan!! Secondly, the hadith that refers to Daabba (Beast) coming at Duha time, and the rising of Sun from the West appear to indicate that these two major signs will happen within 24-48 hours, like Sh Yasir suggested. Like the Shaykh mentioned, when either one of them comes first, the other will come right after. Sh Yasir Qadhi did not mention it, but to me, this hadith also is proof that the Earth is round, which is a miracle because in those days not everyone believed the Earth is round. Therefore, it is plausible, that some people on the Earth will see the Sun change its course in mid-day while others will see the actual rising from the West, and hence which might be why Rasulullah salAllahu 'alayhi wasallam said that when *one* of these two signs appears the other will come right after. So for those people who witness Earth change its course in mid-day, maybe they will see the Beast first and Sun rise from the West the next day. And those who will see the Sun rise from the West first, they might see the Beast second. But on the other hand, like Sh Yasir alluded to near the end of the lecture, if no one else is alive on Earth by that time except in the Middle East, then it is possible that only people living near the Middle East will see the Sun rising from the West which is why it is not mentioned in any hadith that people will see the Sun change its course in mid-way. Lastly, regarding what the Trumpet is. There is a possible modern interpretation of this. Astronomers have made some predictions on possible shape of the Universe, and one such possibility is that of a "saddle shape", based on certain parameters on their mathematical model. It may be that the Trumpet is referring to the shape of the Universe itself. It makes sense that Israfeel 'alayhi assalam is blowing into our Universe. And Allah knows best! Sun can rise from the west if the world flips on its head (i-e north pole goes where south pole is and vise versa). That is not too far fetched in grand scheme of things. There might be a scientific (astro physical) phenomenon that may casue celestial bodies to flip.

Again, the problem is not with the different interpretations. Of course there are things in the Quran the the scholars back than won’t know because the Quran also speak about things for the none believers and Muslims from revelations to the end of time. Therefore, there are signs in it for those who are scientists or doctors now for example. The issue was that you kept using “logic” and science to reject the interpretations of the past generation, witch can be true, and referred to them as tales and problematic. The only way their interpretations are problematic if you don’t believe that Allah is capable of doing anything outside the laws of science. I hope you can see and address this concern, we all make mistakes and that will solve the problem if you just say that I was wrong when I referred to the early scholars interpretations as impossible. I am a huge fan of Dr Yasir Qadhi and I also, believe his intentions are not wrong but since he is very influential, his words can have an impact on his followers and sooners or later, the new generation could question Quran or authentic ahadis as well based upon "logic" or "science".

But on the other hand, like Sh Yasir alluded to near the end of the lecture, if no one else is alive on Earth by that time except in the Middle East, then it is possible that only people living near the Middle East will see the Sun rising from the West which is why it is not mentioned in any hadith that people will see the Sun change its course in mid-way.
Lastly, regarding what the Trumpet is. There is a possible modern interpretation of this. Astronomers have made some predictions on possible shape of the Universe, and one such possibility is that of a "saddle shape", based on certain parameters on their mathematical model. It may be that the Trumpet is referring to the shape of the Universe itself. It makes sense that Israfeel 'alayhi assalam is blowing into our Universe. And Allah knows best!

I am a bit confused. I thought that the three earthquakes will come after Dajjal and before the judgement day. Since in that time period there will be peace, then how is it possible the earthquakes to be anything other than decree of Allah SWT.
The hadith doesn't say 3 earthquakes but rather it uses the term khasf.. Which is also used in the context of what happened to qawm lout in the dead sea.. Khasf is a landslide the kind that swallows a place and result in a sinkhole intead. It might be a result of what humans are doing and maybe not.. Actually in the book named a short history of nearly everything the author mentions studies done by geologists that predicts 2 major earth quakes and volcanoes that will wipe out Iowa and Tokyo for example. Of course there are things in the Quran the the scholars back than won’t know because the Quran also speak about things for the none believers and Muslims from revelations to the end of time. Therefore, there are signs in it for those who are scientists or doctors now for example. The issue was that you kept using “logic” and science to reject the interpretations of the past generation, witch can be true, and referred to them as tales and problematic. The only way their interpretations are problematic if you don’t believe that Allah is capable of doing anything outside the laws of science. I hope you can see and address this concern, we all make mistakes and that will solve the problem if you just say that I was wrong when I referred to the early scholars interpretations as impossible. I am a huge fan of Dr Yasir Qadhi and I also, believe his intentions are not wrong but since he is very influential, his words can have an impact on his followers and sooners or later, the new generation could question Quran or authentic ahadis as well based upon "logic" or "science".
