Make sure Norm's old shit never gets erased from the internet. The dude's legend
Rip it off TH-cam and keep it in your own archives until the world needs it
@@graxjpg yep, because if things keep going the direction it’s been going over the last few years, watching anything with norm will be one long censorship beep. And all these dummies pretending to be offended, or outraged on behalf of other people who they don’t even know… If you told me 20 years ago that people were going to turn out like this, I wouldn’t have believed it!
I mean, for the love of Pete!we’re at the point where some people freak out if you refer to them as a male or female… but they’re ok with being severely underpaid and working ungodly hours? Alright, I’m done.
@@scottbaylo this is a tired political point. Unless you have parental controls on Norm isn’t going to be censored anytime soon. Why would he be?
@@matthewsmith5374 he was already getting shit for certain words he used, and some of his more current material. But the 90’s material will without a doubt be censored at some point (the gay, race humor comes to mind)… believe me, I’ll never understand how/why words, or jokes using the words cause pain, but I come from the time of “change the channel/turn it off” if something bothers you (which is apparently an option that no longer exists)
@@scottbaylo there’s lots of gay jokes on TH-cam. Funny ones don’t usually get censored.
Tom is so laid back and so wound up at the same time
Wound back...yea definitely
It’s called kineticized potentialism. It’s actually a real, albeit a purely conjectured theory for the indolent to accept. It’s extremely rare and they’ve yet to find a perfect example of the phenomena in every day, all day life. So, Supinely realize that you, your self, has the potential to learn or in most cases not learn something new every day… and yes, although rare, occasionally even every night
.
@@cauler6627 kineticized isn’t a word, and neither is potentialism
@@cauler6627 It's called caffeine and weed.
@@cauler6627 yeah I remember that
I love how they "officially" wrap it up with the Tom Green logo coming on to the screen and the guest shaking hands with Tom and then the show goes for another 20 minutes.
This episode is a priceless time capsule. Not only is it two comedic geniuses, but it's further proof that Tom Green is a true GOAT in modern entertainment. This was almost 15 years ago and at a time when the internet was still a virgin and off-script talkshows were unheard of. Look at all of the modern, candid (video) Podcast that make up the majority of youtube celebrity and high view volume. They've become almost exactly what Tom was doing before it was commonplace. Tom's such a pioneer on many levels... including the candid street trolling comedy that's made many youtubers popular today. Props to Budweiser too for what it's worth. They were early in on endorsements through self-made entertainment where these days those companies get in line and throw themselves at social media influencers.
Thanks for this upload!
Amen brother. Despite being from Ottawa at this point I had forgotten about Tom Green to a certain extent but then the writers strike got this show put on The Comedy Network up here in Canada and I got to fall in love with him all over again.
For anyone who remembers... his local Rogers community channel 22 way back in the day was the absolute tits! This is pre MTV
Wrong. Joe Rogan and the Deathsquad invented this in 2014
tom green a comedic genius lmao

Newtman98 you’ve seen him on Norm Macdonald live, right?
@@goodfella88 Yeah. I've only seen clips of the other Macdonald/Green interviews.
Gravy train baby
I love how happy Tom is that Norm watches the show.
Now I'm picturing Norm at midnight playing video poker and watching Tom Green
Had to find this again after Norm passed away it is the closest I can get to drinking beer with Norm
Felt, buddy. Felt.
The closest I got to drinking beer with Norm was in his closet
@@RespectProcessThat makes sense, as he was deeply closeted
Closest I ever got was smoking crack with norm. I’m a whore btw
Yeah these long smokey sessions are great. Norm is never off, even in the most relaxed podcast possible, aka this one
Tom always sounds like it's his first show and he's super nervous in everything he does.
Yeah, okay Mr. Dictionary.
Aka amateurish….
@@thebrazilianatlantis165 nervous, what a big word!
Explain to the folks at home what a nervous is
Jesus, this so soothing and funny to watch. Something about it makes it perfect to listen to/watch during a nice, chilly night.
Reading your comment was soothing, especially imagining it in your voice.
I love how white Canadians are: all the best stuff about being white! Lol
God I wish there was just a constant live stream of the “fridge cam” in Norm’s apartment. The look of pure joy on his face every time he reaches for a beer or chocolate ice cream 🥺. Love and miss ya Norm.
They should have had a sandwich tray camera set up.
Triangle sandwiches would have been perfect
And Lori Joe is here as well!😊
@@squaretriangle9208 Bless Lori Joe
This show is nuts because you have the legend Sam Simon wandering onto the show with Norm.
Norm: "All i did was piss- .."
Tom Green: "No there is a faulty toilet here"
Norm: "I had to.. not to be indelicate but i had to piss like a wolf".
"I guess writing." The man had timing like no other.
This is a gem. It’s great to see Sam. Thanks!
Ty for upload, Dog. This will go down as one of the best interviews of the early podcast era. I love how Norm went on to take skype calls from basement creeps in his show like Tom did. Real lovely homies
Norm's podcast was like a parody of Tom Green's, constantly changing subjects, segments, and throwing curve balls out of nowhere. The best kind of nonsense.
A real stream of consciousness.
@@ElectricLadyland87 yeah it's called fucking conversation
The big difference is that Tom Green didnt hire some guy to write jokes onto blue cards
Like a cheap Tom Green knockoff. Wtf is a fucken podcast anyway?
All of Tom’s responses to Norm’s stories are “Really, really??. Is that true?” Hilarious stuff.
Another stop on my journey to view all the Norm clips i can find. He cracks me up with just about anything he says.
Norm’s old appearances on Tom’s living room show is some of my favourite comedy of all time!!
thanks for the upload. RIP Sam. wish there was more content like this with him out there, such an interesting guy
Gonna miss u Norm, u were the greatest!!
This is amazing. Like hanging out with Norm. How many nights have I fallen asleep listening to Norm's voice? I lost count.
"That was too far in the other direction" made me laugh. :'D
This is so raw!
I understand that an alternate pronunciation for Schadenfreude is "Shrankily! Krankily! Rankily!" I heard this guy say it one time. I almost fell under the spell of his hypnotic eyes while he was shouting it. I won't dignify him by saying his name. Another spectator DID fall under his spell and ran around clucking and pecking at the ground and feces. He later said, "It was cool."
You've really got this stream of consciousness thing going on here...
@@HaveYouSeenMyGardens sounds like a real meeting of the MIND.
Tom gushing over the fact Norm watches his show is awesome. He started sitting up straight and held an upward amount of confidence from there-on.
I came for Sam Simons but I’m starting to think this norm guy is alright
Says the guy with an Artie picture
@@figuresk8z could be howard fan who sam simon was a super fan
He’s dead
He's a real jerk
@@RespectProcess where did you get your information? How could you know a few months later it would come true...
Who would have thought Tom Green would be the last man standing.
Rest In Peace Sam & Norm.
yeah who could have predicted the younger guy would outlive the older ones. crazy stuff.
@@Rascarrr I mean, Sam & Norm were only 10 to 15 years older. And they were pretty relaxed dudes, compared to Tom who was famous for doing insane irresponsible stunts, provoking real people on the street, ingesting unclean things, and had cancer at a young age. But sure, they were definitely a little bit older so you make a great point.
Funny how at the end Norm kept telling stories while Tom was trying to end the show
He did that everywhere he could. If someone was trying to wrap up a show he'd try to extend it for as long as possible. He was a true pest lol
RIP Norm 🖤

A sad observation really
The more I watch Norm the more I appreciate his comedy. RIP legend!
It's weird seeing what TH-cam used to look like and I watched a lot of youtube back in those days.

I love Tom
Tom is. Good man. I’ve thrown bubble gum in his hair Also had the honor of throwing a bar glass in his face.
Love this man!
I've been a fan of Norm Macdonald since Billy Madison and the Weekend Update days in the early 90's as well as a fan of Tom Green since he first got popular in the late 90's with his MTV show and that Road Trip movie (which might have been the first DVD I ever bought...) I never knew Tom was doing these primitive "Web-O-Vision" type podcast shows back then and I would have loved to tune in live and call in back in the 2000's.
Tom was so pumped that Norm watched his show. He had such a look of happy disbelief when Norm said he saw the Gene Simmons episode.
" i guess writing" that's the genius of it all
Love this
I've got to admit, I was impressed by Tom casually dropping a reference to The King of Comedy at 21:23
I thought maybe when that Skype caller guy called in and asked Norm if he had ever had been stalked by a crazy person that it reminded him of Rupert Pupkin.
I still had horrible dial up during this era, but I remember him mentioning it on myspace or something? thanks for uploading these are nuggest

I like how Norm can't hide his contempt for journalists.
Even his contempt is still lighthearted. Hes a great example of how not to take shit seriously
@@michaelhauser6440 Certainly. He doesn't take the piss out too hard on the New York Times guy, but he does seem a bit annoyed. Norm clearly has a ton of respect for Tom Green's creativity and comedic abilities, so it's almost as if he's telling Tom that he shouldn't need to restrain himself for the sake of looking good for a "real" media publication.
