    I had a 2017 S3. Then I went to a manual M2 Competition, and now I'm back to Audi with the new RS3. I really enjoyed having a clutch again, but I missed Audi when I had the BMW. The interiors are better and the B&O stereo is infinitely better.
    The RS3 is considerably quicker than the S3, but I actually think the S3 might be the perfect amount of power. The M2 and RS3 are so fast you really can't push them very often. No matter where you are, if you punch it you're criminally speeding 2 seconds later. That sounds cool, but it has real life limitations if you don't want to be a felon.

      Oh cool! We are enjoying our RS3 a lot right now! Sold this S3 for it. I do miss the better steering and handling of the S3 tho. So mechanical vs electronic feeling. Sound system is pretty good in the new RS3 for sure!

Nine years old - no problems. Fun road trip car and drivable in the city (Toronto) winter and summer. Only complaint as I get older is ingress, a bit low. Paid C$55K. Nine years!

    It is even better in Europe. We have the S3 with "Efficiency mode" that will be coasting and accelerating really efficiently with cruise control. I can get it to like almost 36mpg when driving on the highway or some B roads with full chill. This is better economy than I had in my 98 1.4 Civic or 96 1.6 VTEC Civic! And has triple the horsepower... and Quattro :D

      @@G20T Bought 2014 year (so it is EA888 gen 3 after 2012 review, and it is a pre-facelift model) with 100k km, now after a year 115k km. Changed all filtres (including cleaning Haldex's filter), oils (in Haldex and gearbox too) - so far pefrectly reliable.
      I've driven it hard, and smooth - works really well. Love the MMI. Love the possibility of having music form SD card (so I can play actual MP3 320 instead of worse quality via bluetooth and even worse if you use Spotify XD).
      What amazes me is how fun to corner this thing is (and I come from several Civics and a CRX!), how good it sounds (and I had "old" VTECs!), and the fact that it sticks to the road (even if with the same conditions my Civics would already crash 6 times XDDD). Not to mention it just refuses to lose grip on wet or snow, there all FWDs would dance around and rip to RWD.
      Really fun car. Packs a punch, fun to drive, you can drive with your grandma to the church and she will like it (but it is lower than a normal A3), 180 km/h on cruise control on the autobahn is really comfy at 11.1L/100, at the same time I can get declared WLTP 7.0L/100 easily (with not much traffic).
      I still have much to learn if I want to push her, there is ESP sport mode.
      Love the gearbox - and I was all no-no for automatics.
      I am goign to take her to the Nurburgring this summer :D
      EDIT:
      About the reliability part... I wonder how would she be at 250k km. Hope to find out ca. 2030 XD

    Help, I can't decide! Would you recommend the 2023 S3 or S4? Residuals on the S4 are a bit higher than the S3 in Southern California, so to get into a P+ S4 it's about $50/month more than the S3. It's mostly just me running errands on the weekday and enjoy some drives to L.A. on the weekends. What do you think is the better option to lease? I guess it comes down to paying for the extra features like the massage seats, built-in upgraded sound system on the S4, slightly roomier interior? I only got to test drive a P+ A3 and a 2021 P+ S4 S-Sport, so I couldn't really compare the two because the S4 had so much more power than the A3.

    • @BrosFOURRSpeed
      @BrosFOURRSpeed  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Honestly I wouldn't buy the new S3. We're buying a new RS3 and it's only going to be $7k more than a new S3 with similar options. Can't see why someone who can afford a $60k car wouldn't just get the RS3. A base S3 I feel like you're missing way to many features for a $50k car. So I'd get the S4 or the RS3. If a good used one pops up for less then waiting for a new one, Id go for that too tho

    • @morokai1670
      @morokai1670 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BrosFOURRSpeed awesome, yea RS3 is the move but without a plug to get a good deal, it's $10k over sticker and long wait list. • @BrosFOURRSpeed

      @@morokai1670 yeah good points. We put in our RS3 order last year. Car will be end of this year.
