I was able to get easily to the last fight with stop. But after the update i just can't get past the 2nd fight. Seems they nerfed something. Feels way weaker.
For anyone who comes across this looking for tips like I was - The only real consistent way I found to be able to beat this was by having two people with raise, and everyone just spamming magic, along with one person having a magnified cure materia. I had Cloud/Aerith/Yuffie and abused synergy skills to build as much ATB as possible and just constantly spammed magic. I almost never used regular abilities unless it was to kill an enemy reflecting magic, or if they were close to death. You'll also want safety bits on for the tonberries just in case, and to throw everything at the jester as fast as possible before he pulls a joker or spades.
okay don't want to sound dumb but what synergy skills were you spamming all the time to get atb? I am also using the same party that you are but I'm struggling to get enough atb to keep everyone's HP up in the second battle agains the sweepers and wheel, not to mention set up wards. I only see spamming cloud's ranged counter synergy skill
Any advice on the last stage? I can't beat it somehow. Now im able to go to stage 9 / 10 almost everytime. But I get bested at the last stage. Can someone help me? Should I go for the joker first?
Pretty sure we all getting whooped by most of these challenges, BUT theres no other option for getting Plat. I will continue getting better and stronger till i beat every last fight! Does anybody else think like that anymore???
Really gotta parry the hell out of him, Steadfast Block to survive projectiles, Precision Block for enhanced parry window, Triangle his attacks if you can't get the parry timing down. Keep attacking til he goes Fiery, then prepare for the explosion barrage knowing you want to get away from the initial blast, which can be parried. The fireballs can also be parried but are difficult to see. Usually takes 2-3 stagger cycles to kill him. Unfortunately he's clearly overtuned
I got platinum on Remake and did not enjoy the VR challenge required for it. I was fine with Hard Mode, since I got the accessory afterwards. Still, I found the VR mussion vs Pride & joy and every summon before stupidly annoying. Annoying and unnecessary. It was my belief Square would’ve taken some feedback and dialed it down in that aspect. As a developer, I would assume you want your playerbase to be content. Rack up those trophies. Proudly display the platinum and eagerly await the next installment… How wrong was I. While the main game was mostly enjoyable, Square managed to make post game content insufferable. It’s almost as if they don’t want their playerbase to get anything. This isn’t Fromsoft. And it should never strive to be. Wishful thinking, but hopefully they release a patch of sorts
I completely disagree here. You have to remember the developers are creating a game for all types of fans, not just you. I personally love these challenges, and a lot of other fans of the game do too. The brutal and legendary fights in this game, along with the VR missions on hard mode in Remake were my favourite fights in the game. I really enjoy the battle system and these fights pushes your knowledge of it to the extreme. Do you think that Square just shouldn’t bother making difficult challenges for the part of the player base who enjoy it, just so that you can get an extra trophy? If you really don’t enjoy them that much, don’t do it. No one is forcing you to get the platinum trophy or to unlock everything in the game and the devs don’t need to remove parts of the game some people enjoy just to care to people who don’t like it. This stuff is completely optional, deliberately end game content. If it was part of the main game I’d understand, but it’s not. You have played a 100+ hour game, been given tons of secrets and rewards but you’re not happy that the devs included fights specifically labelled as brutal and legendary for those who enjoy this sort of thing. Also, with the right loadout and knowledge of characters these fights aren’t that difficult. I cleared this on my third try. First time I didn’t realise I was going to fight White Terror so had to adjust my loadout to tank up Barret a bit so he could tank his hits with Lifesaver/Steelskin, and second try I didn’t realise there was a Tonberry fight so I had to adjust and give everyone anti-death materia.
@@kensuke0 Well as long as the developers keep these challenges in the game for part 3, that’s all I care about. I’ll get the platinum anyway, so I don’t care whether it’s locked behind these challenges; as long as they continue to include these optional difficult battles in part 3 I’ll be happy.
People complain that these fights are busted but after having the right setup and being in control of knowing what is happening this might be the best combat system square has ever put out.
The time materia has the spell "stop" so the bar isnt moving for a while when the enemies are staggered. Does this work in the brutal challenges or all enemies resistant agains it??
Time indeed works against enemies, it helped me tremendously against White Terror since dodging its attacks was just a pain, I managed to defeat that stage much easier by spamming the spell with Yuffie on it.
What're the odds these challenges get a patch? Cleared the first 3 but my God it just seems like enemies are overtuned. I use one ability with cloud and before i can even switch to aerith she's in red critical condition. What the hell is the player even supposed to do?
@anthonygamerps5515 super good strat. If I ever find that an enemy tends to use an element that's what I go for. My companions typically struggle against the ones that don't
This is not a fun fight. The biggest issue is stage 5 and 10. This whole challenge could be manageable if the fire attacks from adamantoise and white terror absorbed.. you know, fire. But it doesn't. Its Non-elemental for some reason. The adamantoise sucks too, but its somewhat more manageable than the others. Stage 10 is very tedious for a few reasons, but mostly the constant pause in the fight for the joker enemy to do an attack. Just please turn those off game. I'm with the people saying whoever designed these challenges wasn't thinking clearly, because buffing enemies to be damage sponges along with the dumb mechanics for some (LOOKING AT YOU WHITE TERROR) it's beyond a "challenge". I finished this by using sleep on an enemy i wasnt focused on in a few fights, especially the Joker enemy.. Which gives you a few moments of breather to focus completely on the Tonberry. When he spawns little tonberrys, if you are using cloud, use triple slash to hopefully take them out quick.
my patience has run out with this shaaa t trial. I have been trying for like 15-17 hours spread out over 2 days. I can get to 10/10 before joker or tonberry ends it. So annoying!!! sometimes dont even get to 10/10. sometimes die from hecteyes or the white wolf, or even one the very first 1/10!!! Insane. But i have learned pretty much everything about this fight. a lot of enemies r weak vs either fire or ice. 1/10 - go after the bird first. lowest hp, while the rino is a frikkin tank. use magic then it doesnt matter, they both die at the same time. however should this fail, bird goes first. 2/10- solid magic will take them all out at the same time. otherwise they zoom across the screen, literally everyone of them. 3/10 - adjacator cast reflect but u gotta go after yingyang first!!! otherwise u have 2 fastmoving targets, the hound and yingyang on u. they zoom across the screen constantly. yingyang also does 1 instakill like all shinra experiment enemies. i was casting big magic and he instakilled with 9999 damage!!! conclusion, he goes first. while u target him, try to get adjacator close to stagger. Then big magic to finish all. 4/10 - easy stage, they die fast on magic. use to rest and earn back hp. 5/10 - the wolf is frikkin crazy. do not let him build up. the mouse is immune but has super low hp. focus on wolf while big magic aoe will automatically take care of mouse. the wolf will take several big magics to finish off!!! do it fast, so he does not get the howl. this move is broken. even blocked, deals over 1000+ per hit and it homes in on u. 6/10 rino and raptor bird. this fight is also broken. the raptor is crazy. aoe thunder can deal 4000++ on each character. but he moves like a locust, very annoying to hit and build bar. conclusion, take out rino first, so u dont have to deal with a tank and a frikkin raptor bird. 7/10 easy, worms have low hp. rest stage. let hp and mp back up. 8/10 another crazy fight. hecteyes uses reflect. u do big magic, u will throw ur controller against the screen. either break the dispell and use big magic aoe. or if thats not an option anymore, u can go take out the gorgon first. he is annoying but doesnt have too much hp and not too crazy compared to other enemies. i managed to take both out with just 2 characters. preferably just use big magic aoe. 9/10 big turtle is a frikkin tank!!!! with homing missiles. on top of that, the frikkin eyeball can stone you. if that happens, ur done. throw ur controller against the ground and go cry. conclusion, take out the eyes first. big turtle is a tank but can be tanked using old skool rpg notoriousmonster tanking tactics. 10/10 this fight isnt difficult, this fight however is a cheat stage. they use domaz gimmicks like instakill to make u cry. and yes, if 1 of ur characters gets hit, its straight up game over. as the fight will continue to progress worse and worse. even the frikkin joker is annoying, using a gimmicky card that u cant skip and have to watch. Like yingyang transformation. annoying.

Why does Square Enix have to make such a good game worse with such unfairly difficult challenges? I want a fair J-RPG and not Dark Souls! I'm tired of this crap, the Tomberry King has given me the rest. 🚮
Long time Souls' player. Dark Souls is very fair. The issue is that the devs of the action JRPGS don't understand action game, game design. They make these enemies, give them diffcult moves that are meant to hit you. With little oppurtunity to block them. They don't give invincibilty frames on dodges like something like Dark Souls does. So when they make hard mode, they just make enemy health and damage higher without considering how that will effect the balance on gameplay. And as the player, not only is it unfair, it's annoying because it's not like it's a 'skill issue' it's just bad design. Especially in Rebirth hard mode because the materia are nerfed hard compared to remake.
@@RealChuckTingletotally agree with you. I defeated them all but definitely did not enjoy it. I like hard games and have done Sekiro, Lies of Pi and Elden Ring and even did Ultimate fights in FF14. I enjoyed the challenge so much in those games because it felt that they are very well designed. However as you said, the difficulty of this game is very artificial and very badly designed. It kind of killed my love for the game’s combat and gameplay. Tbh I enjoyed fighting Weiss and Pride and joy more in Remake than the fights in Rebirth. Luckily enough I love the story writing and others. I still love FF7 overall and its always been one of my fave game but Im just worried at the direction they are taking the combat to based on what ive seen in Rebirth.

This same technique works for the freaking wolf. cast sleep on him and get rid of the other fiend.
Cast sleep to the tortoise and kill the other fiend.
Your welcome🎉❤
the instant death resist from Red XIII against the ton berry was pretty clutch
Good job i have failed on 9/10 and 10 for hours now
same!!!! that adamantoise is so hard to take down! I'm too lazy to do AP farming level up though
I just beat it today, put sleep on someone and cat it as soon as you get atb, gives you plenty of time to work on the one still awake without looking over your shoulder. Just use clouds parry along with some moves from enemy skill. It did wonders, white terror is still insane though that just takes practice and luck.
@@phoenixreborn7346 I beat it yesterday after trying for 10 times or so. 😅 Now onto the last brutal challenge but recommending max all the materia first.
@@adlinajay9953 yep just beat the 5th challenge after like 2 hours lol. Died to Phoenix instantly on my first try for outer worlds and I decided I was done today lol.
Made it to the final round against the tonberry king and even tho i had 3 safty bits equip i got one shoted by someone!? Any tips?
99% of my runs die because Joker explodes one of his cards and I oneshots my entire party even with 2 Manawalls, anyone knows how to avoid it?
One thing is being hard another is being straight up unfair
Magnify and Swiftcast Haste and/or Silence
OH MY GOD FINALLY! Kinda did my own set up but finally beat it!!!!!!!!!!
Super lazy endgame challenges. The just mashed enemies together and called it a day. Probably done with this game now
Thanks for the setup!
I finished this challenge with 20+ tryouts😢 You may use Aerith with level 3 limit break (from accessory) to recharge teammates’ limit gauge. Use one of them towards enemy and use the other one to recharge aerith
J’en suis à plus de 30 et toujours pas reussi
This round is mostly immune to sleep. They are very tanky and some one shot you. I need to respec for this is I could only get to level 5.
Have you tried using Magnify Stop? I keep forgetting. I made it to the last round with my default A team but then surprise instant death showed up.
Wow 🤩 this build worked wonders for me. Thank you very much 🎉
The stupid fire missile turtle keeps wiping out my characters when I’m not controlling them
Switching Yuffie to a Karmic Cowl, worked out much better for me.
I can beat Weiss on ff7 remake easier than that damn wolf
the real lesson is to use sleep
@@joshuahorton-lo2nqsleep him
@@Cryosxifycan u pair it with sinergy materia?
I only get 30% mp back how do you get 50% ?
This stupid soon as I kill the yin Yang beast he just nukes and kills my whole team
Fvck this challenges, I won't ruin my experience with this wonderful game anymore.
That stupid ass turtle that kept shooting 50 laser beams of death per second pissed me off omg💀does anyone know how to stop that???
Use Dispel on him and then Fira/Firaga. Gotta pressure him.
Any advice on the last stage? I can't beat it somehow. Now im able to go to stage 9 / 10 almost everytime. But I get bested at the last stage. Can someone help me? Should I go for the joker first?
Same here, I'm completely stuck because even Joker has a one hit kill move, so annoying
@@diogoarez9574 I switched to another build from another video and then it worked out. Basically nuking everything with spells
@@sincerely_kathilink the video
Pretty sure we all getting whooped by most of these challenges, BUT theres no other option for getting Plat. I will continue getting better and stronger till i beat every last fight! Does anybody else think like that anymore???
Any advice on that White Terror?
enemy materia, rancid breath and just keep attacking and recasting rancind if possible
Unfortunately he's clearly overtuned
delete him from the files
I got platinum on Remake and did not enjoy the VR challenge required for it. I was fine with Hard Mode, since I got the accessory afterwards. Still, I found the VR mussion vs Pride & joy and every summon before stupidly annoying. Annoying and unnecessary. It was my belief Square would’ve taken some feedback and dialed it down in that aspect. As a developer, I would assume you want your playerbase to be content. Rack up those trophies. Proudly display the platinum and eagerly await the next
installment…
How wrong was I. While the main game was mostly enjoyable, Square managed to make post game content insufferable. It’s almost as if they don’t want their playerbase to get anything. This isn’t Fromsoft. And it should never strive to be.
Wishful thinking, but hopefully they release a patch of sorts
I think they want to make platinum trophy based on player's skill instead of thing that could easily achieved by grinding.
@@RAGEAlanBunMore people disagree with you on this one.
True most of the enemies here are vulnerable to sleep so you can just pair it magnify and clean up
Sorry guys but how can i unlock the triple slash ability for cloud?
This would be a whole lot more bearable if you weren't able to get stun locked to death so easily
Sleep + magnify makes most of these fights much easier
The time materia has the spell "stop" so the bar isnt moving for a while when the enemies are staggered. Does this work in the brutal challenges or all enemies resistant agains it??
Time indeed works against enemies, it helped me tremendously against White Terror since dodging its attacks was just a pain, I managed to defeat that stage much easier by spamming the spell with Yuffie on it.
Please guide me to beat Gongaga battle intel: distant rumors in VR Missions. I can't deal with Earthbound skill.
just read the assess...
Basically use a skill that can stagger them when they are guarding. Like focused shot with barret that’s worked for me.
What're the odds these challenges get a patch? Cleared the first 3 but my God it just seems like enemies are overtuned. I use one ability with cloud and before i can even switch to aerith she's in red critical condition. What the hell is the player even supposed to do?
Elemental material linked to the element that's killing you on Aeriths armor.
@anthonygamerps5515 super good strat. If I ever find that an enemy tends to use an element that's what I go for. My companions typically struggle against the ones that don't
AT 3:35 I dont see an assess command given, is there another way to pull up enemy intel Im missing?
Press the touchpad
@@AndreHunter12thanks, do you know why you cant revive in this round?
@@Problematic2024Have the Revival or Reraise materia equipped.
@@VGHistory1unfortunately those dont work if you get hit with the curse that doesnt allow reviving
Like yingyang transformation. annoying.
10/10 "this fight isnt difficult". Well I disagree, it is very difficult. It is the one everybody is failing in for good reason.
@@vincevirtua I beat this a few hours after I wrote that last post...haha.
It was annoying as hell, tons of rng and luck involved.
Basically, u need the highest damage in shortest time possible.
I used cloud as main damage dealer. But he wasnt enough. Breakthrough came when i realized i needed more damage.
Oh and "this fight isnt difficult"... it isnt.
Start of the fight, nukega both, then sleep JKR.
tonberry gotta go first. or he keep spwaning little tonberries. Or drop those annoying kitchenpans on u (aka stun u).
once he gone, joker himself is just easy.
@@JaceWD yea I’ve beat that one too and it wasn’t easy for me. I would agree with the RNG statement for that particular one with the Joker/Tonberry King combo.

@@TheHaymeisterThis game has 0 to do with skill mostly RNG....
I really despise the developers...
Why does Square Enix have to make such a good game worse with such unfairly difficult challenges? I want a fair J-RPG and not Dark Souls! I'm tired of this crap, the Tomberry King has given me the rest. 🚮
Then play the main story and drop the game afterwards scrub
Not even dark souls and unfair like that
Long time Souls' player.
I still love FF7 overall and its always been one of my fave game but Im just worried at the direction they are taking the combat to based on what ive seen in Rebirth.
souls games are fair, this one is just bad game design to annoy player
Making content that 99.9 percent of your customers can't clear cannot be good for business. Just from a money perspective. I'll eventually beat but these challenges are way too long and really suck. I have a job that eats too much time.
