I would support a choice of two different leylines cooldowns. For example, warrior's choice of upheaval/orogeny, and DRK's choice between carve and abyssal drain. You have to pick one then they both go on cooldown. The new secondary version of leylines could be placed under any target including bosses, (useful since AM can't be used on bosses, perhaps good for dynamo-type attacks) would last the full 2 minutes, would not give spell haste, but using between the lines would extend astral fire by 5 seconds, or maybe give an umbral heart or two. Maybe it could behave slightly like arcane circle or brotherhood, where party action enhance the effect. Maybe if an ally uses weaponskills inside the lines, you get charges of a buff similar to a monk's chakra. At 5 stacks, you gain access to a buff that grants haste even if you're outside the lines. Maybe once per use of the lines, you get a charge of "replace the lines" that lets you move them the same way sages can move their pvp limit break field thing just one time per use. Maybe the brotherhood chakra effect would only work on the player you cast it on, making that single player something like a dance partner, and putting your DPS in their hands requiring them to stay inside the lines for you while you can freely move around. I'm all for giving BLMs new tools but I want the tools to be complex. A bunch of simultaneous lines seems too simple. It would somewhat trivialize their job identity of needing to plan their movement to optimize DPS. With a set of lines like what I've described, it could enable new movement options, but the player would be forced to engage with the new lines for the full 2 minutes in order for the new lines to give better dps than normal leylines, which increases the stakes of placing them well.

But it's become a fun little minigame trying to perfect block bahamut/titan together. When I die it just takes another couples minutes to beat phoenix kujata and try again
Okay this is unbelievable! I even struggled with a team of 3. Congratulations!! But might I ask, why are you using Cure when you have her Limit available? That part I don't get.
Limit has special properties I like to reserve. Invulnerability is one, and it's also the only way to avoid temporal imprisonment when Odin drops below 25%. The last reason is that animation is very long and I can lose focus on the enemy. Occasionally I have been checkmated out of Limit with an unavoidable ring of helheim, grim upheaval, epemerality, with no way to avoid it. Also Limit is hard coded to heal exactly 50% of your max which is smaller than cure when you have 541 magic attack😂

@@aethertruck It's a combination of not knowing the fight because there's no good way to practice it without a tedious runback of three exhausting battles, and a lack of reflexes for the number of perfect blocks seemingly needed to even stand a chance. It feels like he's constantly attacking and that I get punished whenever I even attempt to do some damage. Then I'm in a downward spiral of not being able to heal fast enough or even generate enough ATB to be able to heal, and I lose. Also, the sheer number of skills he has is daunting to try to memorize (again made worse by the runback). I've tried a couple of different YT builds that have gotten me as far as Gilgamesh, but then I can't execute the strategies because I just die before I know what's even happening. And half the time I don't even get to round 4. And imagining finally winning only to die in round 5.... ugh, just nothing about this is fun for me. Anyway, this is a lot of complaining, but the point is I just straight up failed the skill check. It's as simple as that. Square Enix developed an actual 0.01% platinum for this game, and despite a lifetime of gaming, I'm probably not going to be one of the 1 in 10,000 (or fewer) players that's going to get this trophy. Still, I really appreciate the words of encouragement! I just don't think I have the patience to grind this one if they're not going to add checkpoints. Anyway, I don't want to spam up your channel with negativity, but if you wanna chat more, you can find me at this name just about everywhere! :D
Just checked the trophy list and the platinum is up to 0.3%, or 1 in 333, which means it's not nearly as difficult as I thought and I just have to accept that I'm old, slow and simply too impatient for this. 😅
After doing a perfect block and holding it, any attacks that hit you for the next 0.5 seconds will also be immune, including attacks like Titan's thwack which normally can't be blocked at all! However you are able to immediately block again and if the conditions are right you can perfect block again, and if you do, you gain more ATB and build more stagger on your attacker than if you choose to let the first perfect block cover a subsequent attack. For attacks like Bahamut's whirlwind slash, I must block 3 separate times because if I don't I won't immune every hit. Every time you hear that clinking sound, that means I pushed the block button. If you see the words immune multiple times, but only one clinking sound, that means a single perfect block covered multiple hits, which is most easy to see when Bahamut uses Vulcan Onslaught
Yo, btw, do you think that swiftcast would make your damage routes be a lot smoother? Just thought that doing that would make staggering, dps, and ATB generation increase.
Swiftcast is an interesting idea, now that the burden has been lifted I may experiment. Though it would need to be Thunder or Aero, I would need to get rid of something like HP Up, First Strike, ATB Boost, all of which are very important, it could open up the ability to interrupt on demand which may be OP? I'll look into it!
@@aethertruck true, I would feel uncomfortable removing HP up especially since you’re literally kneecapping yourself from dealing with attacks like Octoslash.
@@M1ster_S1R I have put a considerable amount of time since last night thinking about how to incorporate swift cast. I think removing first strike and magic up is optimal. MP Absorbtion on Lightning. Swiftcast Lightning and Wind. I think this could work. Swift thundaga is an instant interrupt. Could enable a lot more opportunities. Safe against ephemerality and daemon wave. I am excited to try!
@@M1ster_S1Ryou will be happy to know that I have cleared with swiftcast! I cleared much faster than before! It was a truly excellent build, and I wanted to thank you for the idea. Upload coming soon
I do not. There are many players that have made some fantastic guides for winning those two fights. I recommend searching for a magic build. Those appear to be much easier to win with than strength builds.
shoulda healing wind + reraise with phoenix after/during that second octaslash. also, why run enemy skill if you're not going to use Plasma discharge? you had the ATB for it
I used to use plasma discharge religiously but after many hours of using it, I decided that the gameplay stutter that happens during the discharge when damage is inflicted interferes too much with my parry timing. I use enemy skill for the sonic boom and sometimes gorgon shield, but I forgot to use it this run. (Gorgon shield gives about 10 frames of invincibility a metric asston, more than any dodge) Also enemy skill materia gives a lot of bonus stats, 5% in multiple stats
Are you timing the blocks in the moment or did you have to play through multiple times to learn the bosses mechanics? I haven't tried the block strategy yet.
Oh I've put probably 40 hours into this specific challenge alone. By the time I did this run I had probably 20 wins in this challenge with various teams of 3, so yes I've had a lot of practice lol. The real fruit of my practice is learning the best way to kill everything. Priming a Phoenix kill before it uses rebirth flame takes a lot of preparation. Killing Titan in one stagger also takes preparation, primarily, building up his stagger bar before breaking his shield. Killing Odin without letting him reach phase 3 took a lot of planning too. It took many dozens of failures for me to create this build and dozens more to finally seal the deal. I was very nervous in the Gilgamesh and Sephiroth fights😅
Hi can u pls tell how u can have 6 slots for your ceremonial staff? Mine is only 4 slots and I can't find any guide in google or youtube. All my other staff have 6 slots except ceremonial staff, i dont think auto upgrade setting is the cause
You need every single weapon manuscript. There's lots of them in hard mode and in the hard mode side quests. Get them all and she goes from 4 slots to 6 slots
I think this highlights pretty well why no one does this lol.. aerith is way too passive... fights with her turn into a "perfect parry" or die situation.
Yes. Doesn't work on every attack. Timing window is about a quarter second. Can double the timing window to a half second with precision guard focus materia.
Dude I think you're right. -aga spells against elemental weak Kujata: Without trancendence, it's like 20k, 20k, 20k, 20k With level 1 trancendence: 22k With level 2 trancendence: 24k minimum, 25k, etc I think it's a 10% boost per level holy fuck how did I not know that, thank you for this based intel You literally only learn this in the folio description, why the hell!?!? It's not in her "party" menu ability description. Jesus this game has so many hidden details. I'd hate it if I didn't love it
@@aethertruck People seem to think she's the weakest party member, but honestly she has the most busted kit. Spellbound blast (her Synergy with Tifa/Yuffie/Cait) straight up nukes stuff. You can easily no atb kill any field monster/boss with just how much damage it does once you get the charge level on it. 15k vs Malboro for a no ATB synergy skill is nutty as crap. (with faith and transcendence mind you :P) Ton King can't even summon his goons because they literally get one shot by the blast.
Forgot elemental for that. Which is another thing, Transcendence gains elemental damage. I don't think there is a skill in the game that does more than elemental weak Transcendence II.
@@ewaep Well there's no question that Trancendence is required to make her elemental spells more potent, but I still think an arcane ward faith/trancendence double -aga on elemental weakness does like 50k (33k+17k) to a staggered target, with splash potential. Trancendence does about 30k without weakness but the boost isn't higher than 50% if they're weakis it? I know it's 10 hits and they do like 3k each with faith, but I've never given her elemental weapon
Genji gloves accessory. Must beat Gilgamesh in the finale of the protorelic quest series in chapter 13. To craft the recipe you'll need craftsmanship level 16, which requires you to craft literally everything else in the game. Then you'll need to find the materials in hard mode
Vanish? It's part of his script during the Alex/Odin dual fight. If you bring him below 80% health, he vanishes and Alexander gets access to his full kit. Odin cannot vanish during slepnir's furor. If you push him into slepnir's furor but then push him below 80%, he will vanish as soon as slepnir's furor expires. If Alexander uses divine judgement, Odin comes back and you are forced to fight them both at full strength. So it's recommended that you kill Alexander before he uses it, in which case Odin will come back and have access to his full kit as well.

Any time you see ephemerality/shoddy swordplay/sloppy swordplay, slow down time and make a gameplan. Just a few things that could help your chances
Rulers of the perfect block
At this point it feels like a ff14 singleplayer ultimate raid
Koreans gotta korean T_T
GG, grats! Amazing performance!
When a Sekiro player plays Rebirth. Damn.
Very impressive 🥳👍
Here I was struggling with a team
When your blocking combos do you press block for te first attack and hold it or press it individually for each attack
@@aethertruck thank you very much very helpful bro I will rewatch again now to see when you did this
This is amazing
Bruh you the parry god
@@aethertruck congrats man! Glad to have helped
I don't even want to watch that video, I'm on this stupid challenge for a week now :(
Odin terrifies me by himself, but with Alexander? 😫
GRATS! 🎉🎉🎉
Do you have a Guide do Zack and Cloud Challenger?
I do not. There are many players that have made some fantastic guides for winning those two fights. I recommend searching for a magic build. Those appear to be much easier to win with than strength builds.
Now do it as Cait Sith
A talented French player is already working on Cait Sith. I'm not even gonna try lol. I suspect it'll be a magic build and will be very entertaining
Omni aerith at work
How? Just how?
Do it with Cait sith 😆
This must be omni Aerith
Idk why, but I feel I can block better with Aerith than anybody else...
shoulda healing wind + reraise with phoenix after/during that second octaslash. also, why run enemy skill if you're not going to use Plasma discharge? you had the ATB for it
I used to use plasma discharge religiously but after many hours of using it, I decided that the gameplay stutter that happens during the discharge when damage is inflicted interferes too much with my parry timing.
How just how!
Is nobody going to talk about the disrespect to Gilgamesh ?
Impressive
Did you just parry skewer at 26:32? I thought those attacks with the red hazard sign can't be blocked/parried
Skewer is a bind-type attack and you can parry those if you have level three precision guard defense. Says it on the materia
@@aethertruckwow i've had level three precision guard for so long and i never knew this. thanks!
Woooow🎉🎉🎉🎉
Sheeeeee
Bro how 😭
Are you timing the blocks in the moment or did you have to play through multiple times to learn the bosses mechanics?
Oh my god
Hi can u pls tell how u can have 6 slots for your ceremonial staff? Mine is only 4 slots and I can't find any guide in google or youtube. All my other staff have 6 slots except ceremonial staff, i dont think auto upgrade setting is the cause
You need every single weapon manuscript. There's lots of them in hard mode and in the hard mode side quests. Get them all and she goes from 4 slots to 6 slots
@@aethertruck oh thank you
Wie habt ihr sie eingestellt mit Kraft usw.
😮
maybe thats why sepiroth want to kill aerith with cloud help.
I think this highlights pretty well why no one does this lol.. aerith is way too passive... fights with her turn into a "perfect parry" or die situation.
i was wondering how you solo Aerith with this fight
didn't expect you to turn Aerith into Sekiro lol
That parry (immune) with just press R1...؟
Yes. Doesn't work on every attack. Timing window is about a quarter second. Can double the timing window to a half second with precision guard focus materia.
Thanks ❤@@aethertruck
I got destroyed fighting 2 bombs using just Aeirth....
I had trouble with that fight too. Can trivialize it with elemental+fire on armor. It took me like 10 minutes to win that fight
😮
I notice you're not putting transcendence up for your fights. It does have a secondary effect of boosting her matk if the description isn't lying.
UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'm checking that now
Dude I think you're right. -aga spells against elemental weak Kujata:
Without trancendence, it's like 20k, 20k, 20k, 20k
With level 1 trancendence: 22k
With level 2 trancendence: 24k minimum, 25k, etc
I think it's a 10% boost per level holy fuck how did I not know that, thank you for this based intel
You literally only learn this in the folio description, why the hell!?!? It's not in her "party" menu ability description. Jesus this game has so many hidden details. I'd hate it if I didn't love it
@@aethertruck People seem to think she's the weakest party member, but honestly she has the most busted kit. Spellbound blast (her Synergy with Tifa/Yuffie/Cait) straight up nukes stuff. You can easily no atb kill any field monster/boss with just how much damage it does once you get the charge level on it. 15k vs Malboro for a no ATB synergy skill is nutty as crap. (with faith and transcendence mind you :P)
Ton King can't even summon his goons because they literally get one shot by the blast.
You know you suck at the game when you see something like that
Help for shareplay pliss 😪
How to immune attacks?
perfect block or element metria on armor+ any element
How are you doing more than 9999 hit points per attack? 😮
Genji gloves accessory. Must beat Gilgamesh in the finale of the protorelic quest series in chapter 13. To craft the recipe you'll need craftsmanship level 16, which requires you to craft literally everything else in the game. Then you'll need to find the materials in hard mode
Why did Odin disappear?
