Your tubing work is amazing. You hit the nail on the head. When I'm working on my project nothing else gets done including eating. Great observation on your part.
Funny I was looking at a rock bouncer up close the other day. The tubing fitments were absolute crap, half inch gaps welded up everywhere. But from 10 feet away it was a beautiful buggy. And here I am making them fit perfectly.
I've been using those same Ryobi grinders as well. The first one I bought had an issue with the lock pin (the detent that holds the spindle in place so you can change the media) and I took it back to Home Depot. They exchanged it for me and I haven't looked back since. They work well!
For weight and budget reasons you should consider mixing in other tube dimensions. The ladder bits between the parallels could be two sizes smaller. Often smaller tube works if corners are gusseted. Consider each section for compression, torsion, flex, etc.
Matt I totally understand your feelings about lunch when you're just neck deep into your project! It throws you all off. And my Ryobi grinder did the same thing after about 3 years of heavy use! I just went and bought a dewalt and hated it, so I returned it and bought another Ryobi! lol. $39 isn't so bad to replace it I guess! But I do know that my new Ryobi grinder box did say that they designed it so that brushes could be replaced and keep on trucking!
I like the bedside idea, kinda keeping the look of the jeep pickup sort of. And yeah I completely feel the same way about lunch at work versus lunch at home when building something. 😁
I've been in the same situation as you are with the upper shock mounts. I've fabricated pieces before, welded 'em up & realized that they just weren't "right". So, I'll cut 'em off, clean everything up & redo it even if I have to fabricate the piece again. It irritates me to realize I've welded up a piece "wrong", but irritates me more to know that I couldve corrected it, made it right, made it look right & didn't. If you go ahead & redo those upper shock mounts you'll probably be glad you did later. Still, its a good looking overall build & some nicely done tube work!
I thought you were about to advertise for a granola bar as if it was some new sponsor😂😂😂😂 but for real, clif bars are great for a quick tie over. Im a busy college student and rarely have time for full meals but i can grab one or two, throw em in my bag and i am usually able to manage until i get back home for a real meal. This is on top of biking everywhere i go and climbing every day, so they really do make a big difference in my energy for the day! Give them a shot!
You should try Quest protein cookies. They are a little dry, but they seriously make you full, and give you good nutrition. When i eat them i feel more energized afterwards. Just something i've tried and wanted to pass along based on your lunch comments
Get on fb and buy a good Lil used mini fridge and put sandwich makings in it in the shop and eat while working with dirty hands that's how you keep things moving
There is stuff called Jimmy Joy aka Joylent. It's a meal replacement that has all the nutrients of a full meal and they actually taste pretty good. Just mix the powder with water and it's ready to drink.
BleepinJeep and are you able to drive with high speeds (+/- 60 km/h) over some paths with the ori struts?? I want to know what the best option is, because they both are really expensive (coilovers even more then ori struts.
HAAHAHAH i wish there was just like, a granola bar or something that you could eat for lunch and it would fill you up... its kinda ironic when your working for the man.. haha GO MATT rock on brother love your videos keep making more, you could make DIY videos for anything and they would be entertaining!
Loved the vid. Just random Matt stuff is pretty cool. On another note, I saw two other youtubers get free diamond wheel "samples" from a random viewer since you showed yours. I'm wondering if it is a conspiracy now.
I have a makita grinder that acted up like that so I bought a porter cable and let the makita one set for 6 months and it magically works fine now......beats me ??
BleepinJeep looks great! I think using the skins of the bedside would look great on the rear. My dad had a 2wd Comanche when I was 16, I loved that truck.
Hi Matt any chance of you making a road trip to my city in pa I need a lot of help with my daily driver 99 Cherokee I just love the old girl :-) :-) lol PS keep your cutting torch at home:-) :-)
What made you decide to go coil over this time? Also how do you like fox coil overs I want to do coil overs on my jk, I want king but they are kinda pricey lol
Maybe put 1/4" sheet metal for bed siding and paint it black with a big 4x4 or BleepinJeep logo on it. That would be awesome! Super stoked for the rest of the build!
Awesome listening to you talk about your ambitions and intentions with your coolmanche. that's what I call it cuz its so COOL! thanks again BJ
You're like the Bob Ross of welding.

Yes on the bed sides! Great work, I've learded a lot. Thank You!
Lol! I usually have a "get back to work problem" after eating lunch, & want to take a nap 😴

I seriously can't wait to see this beast when its all done. It's coming along great so far Matt!
seeing you have a identical grinder swap brushes and see if it works. if it runs tip top buy 2 sets and keep a pair where you remeber you put them. 👌
This is looking really neat. I really like the idea of the bedsides, though.
Keep it up Matt, the jeep is looking good.... Who needs a lunch break... Thanks for the info on Amazon sanding disks...

I like the update videos, allows us to see the work as you explain how you did it 👍🏼
Bed sides would look pretty cool!
I agree!
Man really loving this build! Very inspirational. Also love the mid video product reviews and what has worked for you during this build!
I feel the same about the lunch break. I usually snack while im working
YES put the bed sides back on, I love that dovetail type of rear end
I hear ya about lunch, I'm horrible about stopping to eat when I'm in the middle of a project.
I feel the exact same way about lunch break!
That "working for the man" comment... So true :D
Looking good. I still think the bed would make a cool offroad trailer to pull behind your jeeps.
Quest Nutrition protein bars, available at Walmart (cheapest in four packs), are my favorite, easy meal replacement. Tasty and filling.
that sanding disk packaging has a picture of wood working. Who knows? Might be great for wood work?
matt congratulations for your work your knowledge is very helpful for our cherokee greetings from Ensenada Mexico.

I did end up redoing them
Put the tailgate in the back😎the heep is looking great 👍
I understand about time to have lunch get it ready have it by then you aren't ready to get back into it doing a great job
Your positive attitude is so enkouaraging and inspiring. Have an awesome day bleeping Jeep TH-cam dude.
Your the best !! Love your jeep!!
Yes bed sides... Give it that prerunner look
you should use the head mount for your camera so ur hands could be free and we get a pov angle. love the vids!
That's what Jerry from Bullshit Corner does..
Nice progress! It's looking like fun will be Had Soon
You could do a rear bumper that had a winch mount or just a good pull point in case you ever got stuck just an idea anyway
Get stuck... hahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just hook it to the tubes
It didn't let the ghost out, a ghost has taken control of it! Yeah bed sides would look great.
Definetly your brushes.. My dewat drill did it found brushes for 13 bucks drill running like new
Dove tail bed sides!! Especially with a tiny tail gate

Guess I'll have to try one.
I recommend the "cool mint chocolate" flavor but there is also a protein version that you may like based on your personal preference!
I want to be just like you when I grow up ❤️
Great job
See if Ave will take the grinder he could do a tear down video and see what went wrong
Glad I'm not the only guy who gets sad when a grinder passes away. I gave my trusty DeWalt a burial service.
Watched it while replacing my 9 month old flowcooler water pump. Yay.
Not something I wanted to do before Moab.
Totally agreed on the lunch philosophy
I like watching the progression videos. I wish you had more time to do more detail like the last buggy build. But it is what it is.
I'm trying, a lot of the work is very repetitive
My Ryobi like that had a switch burn up, then my other one, the head broke. No shame though, used it hard.
You should try Quest protein cookies. They are a little dry, but they seriously make you full, and give you good nutrition. When i eat them i feel more energized afterwards. Just something i've tried and wanted to pass along based on your lunch comments
Put the shock reservoir behind the shocks on the same bar.
I think bed sides would be cool, kinda like an ultra 4 look the way it will taper in
I got one of them Lenox cut off wheels as a sample from a supplier. I just can't get into using it. Just seems too jumpy to me.
put some small gussets on the top rear shock tabs and she will have no problems
what benefits come from leaf springs in the front and coilovers in the rear?
Get on fb and buy a good Lil used mini fridge and put sandwich makings in it in the shop and eat while working with dirty hands that's how you keep things moving
Do not click on the links. Spam to snap f**k.
George R I didn't click on them in the first place but then I seen your comment so just to check I clicked on it and it is indeed to snap fuck 😂
Those rear top shock mounts being off like that would drive me nuts i hope you fixed them
Def the brushes, you can probably buy generic ones on ebay for peanuts.
As a business owner, I couldn't agree more with the lunch comment. I HATE wasted time now...
If it wasn’t for lunch break I might never see ur vids tho
Look up Greenbelly meal 2 go. They are bars that have 33% of your daily value of nutrients. And they taste good.
There is stuff called Jimmy Joy aka Joylent. It's a meal replacement that has all the nutrients of a full meal and they actually taste pretty good. Just mix the powder with water and it's ready to drink.
Joylent... like soylent green? Hmmmm...
BleepinJeep: My thought exactly! It's made of people!
BleepinJeep haha almost. There is another brand of meal replacement called Soylent so......
Bedsides would be cool.and pipe your exhaust into the rear frame section!
Sometimes you can pull the brushes out and flip them around and it will work "like new" again.
Did that, worked for about 5 more minutes.. brushes were really bad
Ha! I should have figured you tried that already 😎
The Woodstock ones are for wood
replace the brushes in the grinder, probably still salvageable.
Know this video is old but what length of travel are the rear coil overs on this
Clif bars are usually a good quick food.
Every time I here him talk I think of mister Rogers hahaha
Which coilovers are those and what is the max. up and down travel they have??
And what do you prefer, ori struts or coilovers from fox or king??
They are fox 14". I've never had coilovers before so time will tell. But my oris are very nice!
BleepinJeep and are you able to drive with high speeds (+/- 60 km/h) over some paths with the ori struts?? I want to know what the best option is, because they both are really expensive (coilovers even more then ori struts.
Get some welding shots on the tubing
Thank you to Mister Rodgers for narrating this video.
Just curious. What are you cutting with the diamond cutter on the angle grinder? That looks like the blades Ive used on fiberglass.
I'm using it to cut the tubing in half mostly
Check out Soylent. Haven't tried their food bars, but the drinks are great for what you are wanting.
Casey Haralson Soylent green is made of people!!! 😱
HAAHAHAH i wish there was just like, a granola bar or something that you could eat for lunch and it would fill you up... its kinda ironic when your working for the man.. haha GO MATT rock on brother love your videos keep making more, you could make DIY videos for anything and they would be entertaining!
Definitely try and hang the bedsides.
Loved the vid. Just random Matt stuff is pretty cool.
On another note, I saw two other youtubers get free diamond wheel "samples" from a random viewer since you showed yours. I'm wondering if it is a conspiracy now.
Hmmm, I don't think so but could be.
Bacon. Have a fridge with cooked bacon. Eat a couple slices and you will be all good for a few hours
Hey man. Loving this project I'm in the middle of building one myself. Just curious how much tubing did you have into the cage and back?
a lot! I'm not sure, maybe 100 feet or so
I think a bit of the bed on there would make the Comanche look pop. Make a sandwich before you put your shoes on and throw it on the work bench.
Just wondering, why are you doing leafs in the front and coil overs in the rear? Is it just cause it's gonna be easier?
That's what was on the CJ. Wanted a quick and easy swap without having to buy anything.
Lookin sweeeeet
the thoughts @ 10:12 are so true
totally agree on the lunch comment
I have a makita grinder that acted up like that so I bought a porter cable and let the makita one set for 6 months and it magically works fine now......beats me ??
Garden gnomes
You pronounce your "T"'s hard lol it drives me nuts very soft spoken for a car guy lol
What size tube did you use for the Rocker panel/rock sliders? 2”x10”?
2x8 1/4"
BleepinJeep looks great! I think using the skins of the bedside would look great on the rear. My dad had a 2wd Comanche when I was 16, I loved that truck.
Where do you get your builder parts??
From a 1/4" sheet of metal mostly. Which parts are you asking about?
BleepinJeep I gave up years ago and just mass order shock mounts, spring mounts etc. etc. from Ruffstuff and barnes4wd
Hi Matt any chance of you making a road trip to my city in pa I need a lot of help with my daily driver 99 Cherokee I just love the old girl :-) :-) lol PS keep your cutting torch at home:-) :-)
ya, I'll bring my grinder
Wish I got an hour for lunch lol
Good video are you going totie the back bars together the double bars
Yep
What made you decide to go coil over this time? Also how do you like fox coil overs I want to do coil overs on my jk, I want king but they are kinda pricey lol
I used everything that came off the CJ.
I vote for bedsides
why you did not use manual gearbox?
I like automatics.
BleepinJeep comes with it to much service..hope you finish
What company makes your tube bender?
Pro tools hd 105
Thank you
Maybe put 1/4" sheet metal for bed siding and paint it black with a big 4x4 or BleepinJeep logo on it. That would be awesome! Super stoked for the rest of the build!
that would be very heavy
Nicholas Hollow no kiddin!!! What's he thinkin?...lol
it would help put some actual weight in the back, then he would get better rear traction
Sounds like you are looking for some Soylent to eat/drink...
Whatcha use for tubing?
1.75" .120 wall dom
Are those wood only sanding discs? Maybe that's why they're junk!
Why not using the np435?
I like auto
Good enough reason lol
No bed sides. It looks so cool how it is now
Is that an nv4500?
What?
👍👍
