@@paco680and yeah I'm seeing a lot of people looking at Mirage combat and saying there needs to be gore which I absolutely disagree with. Gore is a perfect thing to have in a brute viking but I just can't imagine assassins chopping of heads, arms, and legs when there suppose to be quick and clean.
I like ghost of tsushima how you can choose depending on how good you are. Be sneaky or be samurai. It's the only game I've ever beat on the hardest difficulty in my life. I'm usually a easy or normal mode guy haha

Tbh so far i prefer Mirage over Valhalla it's short, simple and straight to the point also stealth and parkour are much better imo( and throwing knives ftw🤌)

The climbing in mirage is actually more realistic and a homage to the classic AC series which you couldnt climb everything, climbing everything is abit dumb especially when u can clearly tell there is nothing to grab on to this way u actually have to think

Mirage is an assassins creed game. Absolutely perfect and fits the assassin playstyle. Throwing knives are so fun, using the hidden blade is awesome. It’s shorter and not drawn out like crazy. It’s what every assassins game should aspire to be.
The sand effects & physics are a joke, doesn't matter if the game has a smaller budget, you can easily make footprints and basic sand movements on a low budget. The tracks he leaves behind looks like he's on roller skates
Who cares? You're gonna be running around mostly in the city so that minor detail is mostly just nitpicky.

When did he say it's a problem? And I can agree - system where you have to look for something to grab is much better. I'm rather new to AC series. When I saw videos about parkour I was wondering what player have to do to end with such effect. I was really disappointed to find out I could just press shift + W and my character can basically go trough whole world that way.
Valhalla's strength was its major weakness - it was large. Mirage so far looks like a classic AC game and mainly just stealth-based. Valhalla had stealth but was way more focused on battle and combat. it also had some levels that made little sense (River Raids) or wre too much into the Isu reincarnation lore (Jotunheim and Niflheim). Vinland was also a waste, considering Eivor died there and hasn't yet been explained how and why this happened. Even the DLCs were large, like Ragnorak.
Eivors death in vinland was explained in the last Free Dlc of the game

I think valhalla is a good game and can be considered an assassin creed game only if how it is played. Developers have added lot of customization and we can pretty much play it like an assassin game if we focuses more on stealth and dress pretty much like an assassin .

in all fairness with the strength things such as knocking over npcs or knocking them out with punches it was said that what basim lacks in strength and power he makes up for in speed and agility hes meant for stealth not big open brawls

See? I already said before Mirage's release that AC and GTA fans are hypocrites. They unnecessarily praise older game just because it is older. Valhalla was shit, Odyssey was shit, but now they both are gems because they are older now and Mirage has everything wrong with it.
mirage production took only 2 years and low cost with a smaller team that never done a full game on the other hand Valhalla team was huge and experienced in term of making a full game it even took longer time to make with the help of other studios...

What do you mean by experienced? Both mirage and vahalla devs are experienced man none can make a game like these. I'm in touch with one of the artistic director of Mirage and hands down they did a pretty solid job, the team is small indeed but it was straight on point perfect gameplay and storyline, short and fun that's all we wanted, there will be few patches soon. Wait for it.
Mirage was meant to be DLC for AC:V at first, it's the same engine, judging by this video I think they basically copy-paste many features, which is quite obvious thing to do.
I wouldn't blame Mirage for lack of skinning (I'd say hunting with knife doesn't make much sense and collecting resaurces from animals was not the most appreciated feature in last trilogy ;) ) or even lack of mirages like in Origins. It's not a deep desert and you're not meant to stay there for hours. If they should add them it's mostly because of game's name.
What I really don't like it's that teribble sand, someone clearly overlooked that.

Lots of what you compare are ability that you can choose to get or not in valhalla. Like the way he rushes npc or his eagle loot enemies.
Actually Needing ledges and cracks to climb buildings is a good thing, one point for Mirage there. Being able to climb like you're LITERALLY Spiderman is what made the Parkour system in AC boring to begin with..
Only just started valhalla 5 hours in but enjoying it alot. Wouldn't say its on oddessey level just yet mainly because im more of a greek nerd than a norse nerd but i like all the mythology they include and being a viking throwing axes is pretty damn cool. Still the best move in any AC game is the oddesey spartan kick
Valhalla was just too long for me, I've got like 70 hours in that game and still haven't finished it.

"Eivor can climb anything" and this is a major NO NO. Mirage did it better, you can't climb flat surfaces and your brain needs to actually do things during parkour, unlike in valhalla and odyssey where even monkey could press two buttons and parkour.
Why people like to play these games with all that fantasy armor on?

I actually really loved Valhalla, but this trend of hating on a game, and then suddenly praising it once a new game comes out because of tiny insignificant nitpicks is starting to get annoying
I liked Valhalla from the beginning.
Man i would buy mirage if it had old combat. I don't mind combat in new games but after replaying the old games man miss it. It really made you feel special. Now you have to look at numbers.
In Valhalla turn off hud and put enemy health to 75%, damage output to 200% and nearly every small enemy dies in just 2 hits, big ones in maybe 6 or so and theres no damage numbers. Otherwise i agree
I feel ripped off with Mirage and I want my $50 back. The graphics are like 80% as good as Valhalla, this story is meh, and the entire game feels like they phoned it in and are just trying to sucker people into buying the game with the hope that they’ll feel the same way they did when playing the first Assassins Creed. This really does feel like a poorly constructed DLC 👎
Since mirage devs had to make it on limited budget and time on limited movement system of valhalla, they made a solid game with one of the best stealth systems of entire series. Devs really seem passionate.
But they failed at the AI sadly.

YET is one of the most challenging stealth games ever made in series. You can't just go and stab everyone, its smart enough to keep you mind engaged to plan things up.

They are honestly so similar, I enjoy both games. Mirage just kinda went back to its roots and felt more like a typical Assassins Creed we are more familiar with. But gameplay wise, its pretty much similar compared to Valhalla. Unless you enjoy like RPG and more fighting aspects, then Valhalla is a good choice. The combat is similar in Mirage but it seems a big more relaxed? I guess. Similar combat but Mirage is more toned down I feel like. Valhalla's map is also HUGE compared to Mirage. If I am being honest, I still have not finished Valhalla cause the time it has taken me to complete it and the repetitiveness of the missions. I like the amount of content but the game has so much shit to do, and a lot of missions feel the same. "Oh go get the king to be our friend", "We are in your debt ! Thank you, we will be your ally!" Then onto the next. I still have like 2 more lands to visit and ally with. Maybe one day i will finish it. However, Mirage has yet to give me that same feeling. In the end, Valhalla is still a great game but both will have flaws.

valhalla was really better for me personally. i enjoyed fights really much. in mirage the fight system has been more difficult and the game bases on stealth kills. Also i can say that the fighting moves reminds me a bit of ghost of tsushima.
haven't watched the video yet, still on the unskippable ad at the beginning, i just came here to say it's hands down mirage. Valhalla may have had more details and items and outfits and shit, but mirage is just so much more fun to play. what's the point in stuffing a game to the brim with content if the game isn't even fun to play. plus, if we keep complaining about mirage and comparing it to valhalla, Ubisoft will probably just give us another rpg game and say we asked for it.

not true. the valhalla mount can swim. Sometimes animals kill for killing sake and not for food. Eivor only regenerates later in the game at a given. power level. it's not automatic from the off.

The river raids, the settlement, the customization, the variety of environments (England, Ireland, France, Norway, North America) and I really prefer Viking’s matters than Bagdad things.

Im honestly so tired of people making excuses for this. It's not a very good game and Ubisoft shouldn't have released it when they did. "It was a small team, small budget, ect" then they should have given it more time instead of doing the bare minimum just to showcase that they are "still here". This is why Ubisoft is pissing me off lately cuz they care more about quantity than quality, pushing out half baked plots just so they can keep their grubby little hands in our wallets. I feel so bad for the developing companies who work under Ubisoft because I know they're being pushed to finish the games. Ubisoft doesn't care, they just want another title in their seemingly never ending list and it shows.
Same feeling, imagine if assassin's Creed idea came from naughty dogs or CDR project or rockstar it could've been the best game ever graphics, storyline, and gameplay, shame Ubisoft is just milking it more and more till the game's dead

As I see a lot say that Valhalla's con was how big it was. I personally loved that about the game. The RPG like experience was awesome along with the combat experiences. Mirage FOR ME, is not as good as valhalla. But I do understand that mirage goes back to the roots of assassin's creed.

Mirage was made to remind everyone that AC hasn't vanished, just a filler till the next big one. For me, Mirage has little immersion, feels like a stripped down AC with emphasis on Stealth, which is fine, but it just hasn't pulled me in, been playing on and off over the last few days, and i'm seemingly forcing myself to play, like i did with Startaxi. Might go back to it in about 6 months.
Interesting way of comparing the games. This looked like deliberate in looking for any detail that can make Mirage look bad or worse than Valhalla. 🤔

Mirage have a few details better then valhalla end valhalla have a few details better then mirage end both have a few details who are the same but mirage have a better graphics end the perkour is more realistic then valhalla I think both are great games

Some details mentioned in the video doesn't really matter in a gameplay perspective but just random details that make valhalla somehow better.

Basically mirage is valhalla minus combat and content i like mirage but it should be the game before origins so i wouldn’t play it after 3 rpg games with same engine and gameplay, mirage’s gameplay is not only same but limited but…. Who cares i am 12 hours in and i am having a lot of fun
