is no one gonna talk abt that eerie ending and how in previous videos there would suddenly be a new pov and a strange sound as if someone/something was watching him
Uh oh...I kinda feel bad now... he doesn't have a place to sleep 😢. We are definitely gonna have to change that and get him a stable or barn! I appreciate your suggestion, thank you!
Watching something as relaxing as this instead of being held in this tendency of making everything super fast and massive… It’s definitely a great feeling. Love your builds and how you showcase them in the videos.
FUN MINECRAFT FACT: You can use trapdoors instead of fences as animal pens. The ai for mobs like cows and sheep doesn’t consider trapdoors as a block it can jump over. So no more ugly carpet on top of fences!
Damn, the UI edits for the furnace and ench table were smooth! Also, you could make a small hot spring, or a lake at the top of the mountain above the farm, to be the source of water for the farmland.
Thank you, I'm glad you like the little edits! Thats a great idea! I appreciate the feedback; I'll have to throw something together at the top of the mountain 😄
When you make the path to the tower, perhaps put a tall sign post where the paths converge with hanging signs telling you where each road goes. I think that would be good for flavor. Maybe some hanging lanterns like the ones on the farm would be good to put along the roads too.
I was gonna say there's nothing really weird for once and then the end xD I love that wizard tower! A really good use of diorite, this very misunderstood block
Lol right! Diorite is not as bad as people make it out to be! Its actually really fun to build with as long as you have the right blocks to compliment it. Thanks for the support throughtout this series
What I appreciate more than anything In your videos, is how you explain your process and your logic behind the build choices you make. plus seeing your advice in interior decorating was great, I don't see that often
Thanks! I'm glad you like that part! I feel like a lot of content creators just do a 'show and tell' rather than something more insightful. I appreciate your feedback
A suggestion i‘ve seen nobody write yet is the use of the Distant Horizons Mod. Could be really cool, seeing your wizard tower far off in the distance when exploring. Absolutely in love with your style of videos❤
That's a great suggestion! I've tried Distant Horizons with shaders before, but I've never tried without shaders. I wonder if it would still give the same effect 🤔
I've been watching all episodes of the series so far and I have to say these have been the most enjoyable videos I've watched in recent times. Not only that, but your edits, your builds, commentary and the eerie incidences really sparked my motivation to create something myself. This is exactly what the goal of the Joy of Painting was supposed to be and I hope you can keep it up. Amazing stuff! Oh and I think you should make the carpet at the bottom of the tower pink to fit the windows and Allium flowers.
Aww that's very kind, I love to hear that! That genuinely makes my day that you're finding some kind of motivation in these videos! I really appreciate the support! And you're right, I should definitely change the carpet to pink and purple, great suggestion! ❤
I feel like for the path between your house and the tower, you could add details like piles of woods (birch and oak), as if clearing up the road also allowed to gain wooden stockpile. I feel like it would add a bit of lore, especially if later you decide to build stuff that uses these wooden materials to signify that people have built using theses resources, for exemple, an oak and birch house would make sense near the road because the forest contains oak and birch trees. It's a type of worldbuilding that I'm very fond off, and seeing how creative you are, I feel like it'd be cool to see you build stuff like that.
Peaceful. Creative, and perfect for while I did the dishes. Since you are taking suggestions, don't forget you can water log iron bars now, so you can add iron bars where the water is coming out of the farm, if you don't want just a hole there. The tower tube would be perfect for mounting a big 2x2 map of your area. A cat inside the wizard tower would help keep mice from eating your books. And I think a little tool shed/drop off location at the base of the tower would be some fun lore, where people who need equipment enchanted could drop their gear off and pick it up from the wizards without having to climb up and down the ladder. Just some thoughts. Greay video!
Thanks so much, these are some very great suggestions! All of these ideas sound like really fun things to add and help tell the story of the wizard tower. I appreciate it ❤
I absolutely love how you turned this into a true community project ❤️ crediting the suggestions really makes us all feel much more involved and invested in your world and its story. I adore your cosy vibe. I’ve also really enjoyed watching your copper roof oxidise over time. I’d really like to see some tutorials on how you build, your style is very much what I aspire to build like. Thank you for all the effort you put into your videos ❤️
Hahaha yea!! I love hearing feedback and everyone has really great ideas! Its definitely turned the world into a collaborative project, I'm so blessed to have you all helping me make a beautiful world!
Man you got me at 14 minutes I actually thought the video was over. You can imagine I was very happy that there was more to it, definitely the highlight of my TH-cam consumption sessions.
I appreciate it very much, keep making excellent videos. I like how you’re building drama with the guy spying on you, particularly with the misdirect with the enchanting table.
i wasn’t sure if i liked the look of that lil skinny tree at first but when it became a family it’s just things like that, that make worlds immersive to me and it made me smile bc it’s wholesome and fills these empty worlds over time with monuments and memories
You should make a vineyard. And if you go to the nether, you can use nether wart blocks and put it inside those wooded tubs so that it looks like it's being mashed into "grape juice" the medieval way. Then, the classic tripwire on barrel for storing it, or a custom barrel. You could also build a winery.
Oh, I don't understand how I missed this episode when it came out. 🙈 I love your tower in the clouds. It looks soooo amazing! 🤩I especially like that it is not just a man-made tower from bottom to top, but that the base is a kind of rocky peak. And the positioning is just perfect! 😍
That interior design crash couse was very helpful. I struggle with bulding large builds, only for them to fell empty, versus, small builds, which barley fit what you need. Thank you.
the tower turned out so beautiful, i love your use of diorite and deepslate together, especially with that purple glass you get such a perfect fantasy look. your diamond tool feeling is so real lol
Thank you, thank you! Exactly, I love that fantasy look! I want to get better at adding color to my builds so I'm glad you liked the purple glass! It's a small hint of color, but I think it ties all together 😊
Reading thru the comments and watching your vids; it is nice to have a relaxing pace and smooth voice for Minecraft survival play, instead of the fast pace SMPs or “I did *X* to my Hardcore World” challenges. Maybe because I’m old or some secret AMSR trend since 1.21 came out, but there seems to be more enjoyment and richness off of these types of Minecraft play styles. I enjoy this gem of channel.
Aww I appreciate it! I think its more on par with some of the content we grew up watching. I take a lot of inspiration from my favorite content from the early lets plays. I appreciate the support ❤
You can place flower pots, lanterns, and candles on the decorated pots. So it looks like the flower is in bigger pot than the small one, or for some semi-hidden lighting lighting. Items would just go inside if you place directly on it, so you place it on the wall just above the decor pot, placing it on ‘top’ of the decor pot.
hey, maybe as an idea; put some lighting blocks (glowstone, or those nether lamp thingies which grow on trees) under the leaves of the tower. During the night, it will give the tower a mystical vibe as to where the light comes from.
Those three remaining cows after witnessing the massacre: 👀 👀 👀 Also do you think incorporating some obsidian (both variants) into the tower would look nice?
Lol Ohhhh interesting idea! The obsidian might be a little too dark for the tower. But I like where you're thinking, crying obsidian definitely has that 'enchanted' theme to it. Great suggestion!
ooh idea for the path: since it's through a forest, for a fun kinda-fantasy touch, you could build a giant overturned log that the path goes through! I did that for a small railway on a server a little while ago and it was such a nice addition! love your builds and videos! so cool how you can come up with these nice builds, looking forward to seeing what else you create! :D
Dude this horror character you're putting in every episode is getting so eerie man haha, I love it. It gives a mysterious vibe to the series. Love your content man
I really enjoyed the segment of you explaining the interior decorating with a voiceover. most youtubers struggle to make that aspect engaging and youve really nailed it! I enjoy how your use of music throughout makes building timelapses/montages feel like a cohesive part of the whole episode instead of a royalty-free dance break(no flack to the big guys i just like how you do it) also i see you playing 3 dimensional chess with the enchanting table double fake out. the mysterious 3rd party POV watching you mine obsidian, the youtuber voice "guys i really dont know where i put it, what an oopsie" and then you actually did just misplace it off camera. I dont know what kind of "lore" youve got brewing but im fully invested in this ominous vibe alone. looking forward to the next episode! keep em coming ^.^
Actually im not done gushing. Can I just say how amazing it is that you have such a clear deep understanding and appreciation of the "minecraft lets play" formula. You are actively building on the shoulders of giants with your own unique voice and direction. So many new minecraft channels are out there chasing trends and i can just FEEL how much you genuinely love minecraft videos! and youre making art out of the video part as much as you are making art out of the minecraft part! incredible work!
@@catbearcartoonist1384 Awww what the heck, you're gonna make me cry! That's so nice, this comment just made my day!!! I'm glad you're enjoying the series! I'll definitely try to implement more of the voiceovers in the future, thanks for the feedback. I'm gonna go cry while I think about this comment now 😭 thank you so much for the support, it means the world to me ❤❤❤
my god the tower looks amazing, and somehow the diorite roof is the best part - competing with the colorful glass and interior decoration and tbh just everything - I really love this series and not only do I feel inspired but I feel like I'm learning a lot of building tricks just watching you haha. But nothing better then relaxing and just letting imagination flow. That's the real magic happening in here.
A little spiral staircase might help the inside of the tower to feel a bit more real. Or you could throw in a few platforms every now and then so that one might rest after climbing for a while. On the outside of one of the windows of the tower there could also be a pulley (grindstone) with a bucket (couldron or trap doors) to get small things up and down more easily. And the base of the tower could also maybe make use of the new variants of tuff.
Ohhh I like that idea of a pulley system. That sounds like a cool thing to add to the tower! As soon as I update to 1.21, I'll definitely start using those tuff variations! Thanks for the feedback ❤
Hawaiians back in the day used a lot of terrace farming and would use similar water features to this. Ive done a few restorations of these and i would say on a larger scale, you should think about elevation and position of crops. Certain cops dont grow above sea level, and some dont grow below the halfway point of the hill/mountain. Also if you add drip leaf and its varient to a mud pool terrace, it looks like our lo'i patches we use to grow kalo (taro).
Oh wow, that's really cool! I love doing things like that, where you take real life ideas/rules and implement them into minecraft. Like only allowing certain crops to grow at specific elevations and what not. That's really interesting, I'll have to look into adding a lo'i patch! I've never heard of it before but it sounds like a beautiful thing to add to our minecraft world! Thank you so much for sharing your experience and knowledge, I really appreciate it! ❤
I don't know how you survived that long on sweet berries without losing your mind! I'd love to see a big berry farm in the future, as a nod to the start of the series :))
😂 yeaaa I'm so greatful to be eating baked potatoes now lol! I like that idea, I find it so fun to pay homage to the berry bushes for getting us through the beginning :D
Thanks Henri, I appreciate it a lot! I actually watched your video about color palettes last week and it was super inspiring and very insightful! It means a lot that you checked out my video 😄
Thank you for your videos, currently playing survival after like 12 years of only playing creative and you're giving me so much inspiration to continue playing and put the time in. I have a realm that 2 other people play on too but not that often. Working towards a community village so again thanks for the inspiration.
The first video that I watched from your channel is where you built the farm terraces. It was such a lovely and relaxing video that I am now waiting for your uploads (though there's no need for you to feel pressured to upload daily, just take your time and enjoy the game). Your style of game play is so relaxing! Keep up the good work!
I absolutely adore these kinds of videos. It's extremely calming and refreshing. Really reminds me of the old time when things were much simpler. Also not to mention the cinematic shots and the little ui edits. This channel is currently my comfort channel
Very nice video. With the amount of comments and everything you're getting, your engagement on YT Creator must be super high. Well done! The algorithm will def be pushing your channel out (as it should. The quality of your videos are great!)
your building is so beautiful. i’m taking inspiration from this series for my own world. can’t wait until i become this good of a builder in minecraft. thank you for the uploads, this is my favorite series on youtube in years
Aww that's really kind of you to say! I love to hear it! We've all got a good builder inside of us, just gotta unlock your potential! Thanks for the support
@@Etat You’re welcome!! Keep doing what you’re doing!! I’m also loving the whole being watched storyline thing, I’m really curious to see how that goes
Hey, I've only seen 2 videos of yours so far, but I love this very relaxed and chill vibe you have going on, it's very relaxing and I appreciate how much you go into detail with the building process and would love if you did more stuff like that. Btw, I've noticed that there's been some strange things afoot in your world, could be gnomes or perhaps a fairy or sprite. Be careful with that teehee. Anyways thank you for crafting such a welcoming atmosphere with this series, I can't wait to watch more :3
Thanks for watching! I did make a little youtube playlist of all the songs I've used across all of my videos if you're interested in that: th-cam.com/play/PLxNeOl5GPDssMdW7q4A9tIsqfIRdfqvEW.html&si=9o3AX818hZh8wgWx
If you have a dragon head you can put it on a table and then put candles in its mouth because the head covers 2 blocks. It looks like it has teeth with fire coming out of its nose
Hahaha thats a cool trick! I've never heard of that before! It might be a while until I get a dragon head, but we'll have to try that out once we get it!
Might be cool to build a small reservoir near the top of the terraced farms, as a source for the irrigation system. Or maybe a stone well in a wall with a grating underneath & water flowing underneath towards the farm.
i jumped for joy seeing this in my feed LOLOL. i use these videos as company while i draw, its like having a friend with me working on their own art while i work :) using this tower as inspo for a build on a realm for sure. also eerrm what the flip was that last shot? im onto you
Bro there are moments in his series just like the last shot where someone is observing him afar in every one of his videos It is like bro is also giving us lore other than the gameplay
@@felixeliaschacko7710 I WAS GONNA SAY THAT TOOO its so cool. i think another enderman is watching him and stealing his stuff. everythings purple themed through the stained glass and theres already a trapped enderman. plus endermen steal stuff
Hi~ I've been watching this series in a queue while finishing up an art piece because you are perfect to listen to in the background because of the calm vibes, very much appreciated! I can't stand all the Minecraft videos with people shouting into their microphones. And the builds are looking good so far! Imo building is as much of an art form as any other type of art so I like that you named this "The Joy of Building" :D
Great video! Very cool series. An easy way to add details to a large tower is to add levels, I find. Putting either full blocks or trapdoors as flooring and then giving porpuse to that level is a great way to make it feel like a real place.
Another good one! I love how calm and slow your videos are. And the music... your picks are so fitting. Also that creepy sounds while you were looking for a enchanting table are on point. I like how you don't skip too much in your videos and how you don't do much off-camera, let it stay that way, show the process. Maybe put a grindstone next to the enchanting table?
I appreciate it! Thanks for tuning in! Thats a great idea, I totally forgot to add a grindstone and even an anvil in that room 😅 thanks for the suggestion!
the amount of times i almost clicked off because it isnt overly stimulating is crazy. I'm glad I stuck around and I hope to see more content like this from you. I know its a drop in the bucket but I subscribed from this video :)
this one inspired me for my ongoing build! really like the section where you're making the interior decoration and sharing with us your thought process! thanks for the awesome video as always! :)
such an throwback to old minecraft videos, definetly an underrated channel!
Aww thanks, I appreciate that! 😊
With a modern Minecraft approach. Reminds me of Etho in his own unique way

is no one gonna talk abt that eerie ending and how in previous videos there would suddenly be a new pov and a strange sound as if someone/something was watching him
👀
we may not be talking but we sure are looking forward to these creepy interludes and to see how that plays out 👍
where _did_ those three iron go...
Maybe you could build a stable for the donkey? Somewhere where he could sleep and eat when you're not riding together
Uh oh...I kinda feel bad now... he doesn't have a place to sleep 😢. We are definitely gonna have to change that and get him a stable or barn! I appreciate your suggestion, thank you!
Floating candles might add to the magical atmosphere in the tower as you go up it!
Ohhh that sounds fun! Great idea! 😄
Don't give up your style for anything. You are a real find, a genuine treasure in a mountain of youtube trash.
Aww thank you, I appreciate that! ❤

Maybe when you get azalea leaves, you can sprinkle some outside the tower bushes to keep the pink/purple theme going. Great build!
Ohhh that's a great idea! I love the way you're thinking!!! The flowering leaves would tie in so well with all the hints of purple/pink! Thank you!😊
You could even add cherry leaves but that might be too much
When you make the path to the tower, perhaps put a tall sign post where the paths converge with hanging signs telling you where each road goes. I think that would be good for flavor. Maybe some hanging lanterns like the ones on the farm would be good to put along the roads too.

also i see you playing 3 dimensional chess with the enchanting table double fake out. the mysterious 3rd party POV watching you mine obsidian, the youtuber voice "guys i really dont know where i put it, what an oopsie" and then you actually did just misplace it off camera.
Aww thank you! I'm glad you're finding some kind of take away while watching the videos! I really appreciate it
A little spiral staircase might help the inside of the tower to feel a bit more real.
Reminds me a lot of bdub's video-style, very simple yet relaxing. keep it up!
Bdubs has been such an inspiration to me! Thanks for checking out my video
Add some floating purple crystals around the tower and use bushes as vines going up around the tower.
Ahhh amethyst crystals would look so good!!!! I need silk touch asap, thats a great suggestion!
I absolutely love the irrigation system for the crops, what an easy way to bring so much life!!!
I'm glad you like it! We had some really great suggestions from the community 😊
It is some chill Minecraft indeed ^^ I love how attentive you seem to the camera movements and framing, even in first person mode
Thanks Henri, I appreciate it a lot! I actually watched your video about color palettes last week and it was super inspiring and very insightful! It means a lot that you checked out my video 😄
@@Etat With pleasure! And thank you ^^
Just a man and his dream to have a wizard tower
Precisely 😂 all I ever want in life
Thank you for your videos, currently playing survival after like 12 years of only playing creative and you're giving me so much inspiration to continue playing and put the time in. I have a realm that 2 other people play on too but not that often. Working towards a community village so again thanks for the inspiration.
Love to hear it! Thank you so much for watching and finding some inspiration here
The first video that I watched from your channel is where you built the farm terraces. It was such a lovely and relaxing video that I am now waiting for your uploads (though there's no need for you to feel pressured to upload daily, just take your time and enjoy the game). Your style of game play is so relaxing! Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much, I appreciate your patience! ❤
I absolutely adore these kinds of videos. It's extremely calming and refreshing. Really reminds me of the old time when things were much simpler.
Also not to mention the cinematic shots and the little ui edits. This channel is currently my comfort channel
Aww that's so sweet, thank you! I'm happy to hear you're enjoying the series! 😊
Very nice video. With the amount of comments and everything you're getting, your engagement on YT Creator must be super high. Well done! The algorithm will def be pushing your channel out (as it should. The quality of your videos are great!)
Thank you so much! Hahaha yea the support has been unreal! Appreciate ya for watching, thank you 😄
your building is so beautiful. i’m taking inspiration from this series for my own world. can’t wait until i become this good of a builder in minecraft. thank you for the uploads, this is my favorite series on youtube in years
Aww that's really kind of you to say! I love to hear it! We've all got a good builder inside of us, just gotta unlock your potential! Thanks for the support
Im loving this series, bring such a nostalgic feeling
❤ thank you, thank you!
Im really digging your sound track from Castle in the Sky
this is definitely one of my favourite minecraft series at the moment
Thank you! That means the world to me, I'm glad you're enjoying it! ❤
Anyways thank you for crafting such a welcoming atmosphere with this series, I can't wait to watch more :3
PS, genshin music spotted
Thank you so much, and thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely try to do more voice overs and talk about the builds. I appreciate the support ❤
I love this series, brilliant! You should make a playlist on Spotify or something for the music you use 🎵
Thanks for watching! I did make a little youtube playlist of all the songs I've used across all of my videos if you're interested in that: th-cam.com/play/PLxNeOl5GPDssMdW7q4A9tIsqfIRdfqvEW.html&si=9o3AX818hZh8wgWx
enjoyed the pace of this video and awesome build as well!! Can't wait for more videos :D!!
Beautiful! Thank you for putting the cherry on the top of my day this evening.
Awww thanks! I'm glad I could be a nice addition to your evening :D
Bdubs changed all our minds about diarite XD loving to tower mate, gg
Hahaha for sure! Bdubs is on another level, he makes any block work somehow xD
Thanks for watching :D
Broo, your videos are so nostalgic, it's crazy! Thank you so much, may God bless you!
I appreciate it! Thanks for watching ❤
I love how you're going slow, and progressing your own pace. Keep up the good work! Also love the way you build bro.
Thank you! That means a lot! ❤
I absolutely love the fact that you take some amazing feedback from your viewers! :D
The community has such great ideas! Everyone is so creative! 😊
i jumped for joy seeing this in my feed LOLOL. i use these videos as company while i draw, its like having a friend with me working on their own art while i work :) using this tower as inspo for a build on a realm for sure. also eerrm what the flip was that last shot? im onto you
That's so wholesome!!! Thats very kind of you to say!!! I appreciate your support on this series, it means the world to me 😊
Bro there are moments in his series just like the last shot where someone is observing him afar in every one of his videos
It is like bro is also giving us lore other than the gameplay
@@felixeliaschacko7710 I WAS GONNA SAY THAT TOOO its so cool. i think another enderman is watching him and stealing his stuff. everythings purple themed through the stained glass and theres already a trapped enderman. plus endermen steal stuff
@@calacalamari3977 I'm already a fan of minecraft arg's and arg's in general so I'm ready to know what more bro has to offer
Aww thank you so much! I really appreciate it! Hahaha right? Minecraft is just as much a medium as painting 😂 I appreciate the support!
Your videos are consistently hitting my feed. So your videos are definitely being pushed by the algorithm. Keep it up! Nice video style!
Ayyy thats awesome to hear! Thanks for checking the videos out
Great video! Very cool series. An easy way to add details to a large tower is to add levels, I find. Putting either full blocks or trapdoors as flooring and then giving porpuse to that level is a great way to make it feel like a real place.
Thanks for watching! That's a great idea! More floors would definitely help to add some more detail and purpose to the tower 😄
Definitely a return to form in MC videos. I hope you blow up! Awesome content
Aww thank you, I appreciate that! 😊
This is the series that inspired me to create my own lets play series. I love the videos, so relaxing.
Aww thats awesome! Thanks for watching, and best of luck in your series too
the amount of times i almost clicked off because it isnt overly stimulating is crazy. I'm glad I stuck around and I hope to see more content like this from you. I know its a drop in the bucket but I subscribed from this video :)
Thanks for sticking around!
another great episode as usual!i like that you're so open to taking suggestions from viewers.
Thank you! The community has so many great ideas, its fun to implement them into our world 😄
I love the pacing in this series. And you have such a nice, calm narration! Well done! ❤
Aww thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying the series! Thanks for watching
Build a small little lake toward the top of the irrigation system to make it look like that’s where you’re drawing from!
Beautiful idea, love it! 😄
Put coarse dirt on the edges of the paths to add more detail
Yessss I love how coarse dirt works so well with paths! Great idea, thanks for watching 😊
this one inspired me for my ongoing build!
really like the section where you're making the interior decoration and sharing with us your thought process!
thanks for the awesome video as always! :)
Thanks so much! I appreciate the feedback! I'll definitely try to share my thought process more often! 😄
12:08 The house looks amazing
Thank you! The fog makes it so much more atmospheric, I love it!
@@Etat yea, I love it too
LOVE the tower and using the fog in the way you did is such a big brain idea!
I appreciate it! Its very fun to play with fog and distance in minecraft! Makes the world feel even bigger 😊
this is a really nice concept for a tower with the "cascading?" sides
Lol thank you! 😄
