'I just needed to make some small modifications' - Proceeds to saw the plane into three pieces and to extend the fuselage. I dread to think what 'major modifications' might be. Melting down a plane kit and remoulding it into a car?
I'd think a major modification would be something close to what I watched my kit building mentor do. He wanted to build an Avro Manchester, but could not get the right kit, so he bought an Avro Lancaster and converted it himself. However he admitted himself, that his kits were never finished as well as they could be.
I took once the Boeing "Hello Kitty" of EVA AIR. But It's not only a paint job on the outside: everything inside is designed with hello kitties. Even the paper toilet is printed with hello kitties. After a 12 hours flight you are broken (wo)man...
you were lucky the pilots didn't just put it in the ground 35 seconds after take off just to shut off the hello kitty cockpit warning sound effects... they didn't spend thousands of dollars in training for this... not for this...
I learn something new with each video you do, but this time you have really outdone yourself. Those 2 joins were seamless, especially with the high gloss finish. Amazing work Plasmo.
I also use a JLC saw. What a tool it is! Cutting is so easy and panel line restoration is a breeze. I've had it for about 4yrs now, still on the original blade. Excellent advice for airbrushes. What?! No Santa's little helper? Beautiful work on the extensions, another gem for your stable of work!
Hi mate, you are my hero. After watching your videos, I was ashamed to call myself a modelist. Well, I'm almost 60 years old, and when I was a kid, I built Revell kits. Here in Brazil they were manufactured under license by Kikoler. After a few years, because of the general lack of interest from the people here, the business closed. Since the 1990s the market has opened up and we have had access to manufacturers from other countries. My interest was in ships. I returned to the hobby in 2014. So far I've already assembled four models: Monogram's Catalina sailboat, Airfix's HMS Dragon, Revell's Jacques Cousteau's Calypso, and Bronco Models' HMS Victorious. I'm with HMS Monmouth from Trumpeter in the box waiting to be assembled. Actually, I do not do videos. But, I write reviews, very well documented with the history of the model and many photographs, almost a step by step. I would love to send you, but surely you do not read Portuguese. The only German I know who speaks Portuguese is another architect from Dusseldorf. Congratulations, I have been inspired and follow your work. very good!
I will never be able to do what this guy does to his models. Literally, cutting it in three parts to extend the fuselaje...Absolutely nope. Awesome job, cutest airliner ever ^-^
would have never had the confidence to do that. I would ave bought two kits. They say the beauty is in the details. You certainly have once again proven that, The final sanding and polish just made it pop! Great job
I love watching David work. Such attention to detail. TBH, I haven't built up a model kit since I was a kid. And those that I built almost never made it to the paint stage, instead falling victim to the imagination of a 10 year old with fireworks.
Respect taking out the saw and cutting instead of finding a Daco 737-300.. I have made one Daco 300 "Sam's Town" and am currently having two more on the build. I do not recognize the decal problems you have but I used Danny Daco's own strong decal softener without any problems at all.... The kit is by far the best 737 out there although fiddly and parts do not fit everywhere. Danny Daco is one few who understands how to engineer jet engines with the intake trunk as one piece... Other producers make it a nightmare taking care of the split seam inside the the assembled engine... Your 737 turned out very very nice. Congrats... Luckily I stocked up and have 14 more 3,4 and 500 from Daco to build...regards Matt
There a 3 holy grails of Airliners. Airfix 1/72 Concorde Helle/Airfixr 1/72 707 Nitto/Entex/Doyusha 1/100 747. The Concorde is the only one I have not built. Be careful with the 747, it is a good kit but it has some very serious errors. Thank you for your build. It is very refreshing.
You are simply the best model maker I have seen. Could some of your next videos focus on your techniques, such as painting, gloss coat, decals, sanding, and such? You have me motivated to step my own builds up, but I doubt I will ever be as good as you....
In awe of this build......one of these days I will build the Zoukei Mura 1/48 Ho229 I have.....when I’m confident enough to do it justice, in the meantime I’ll continue to watch & learn from your work ( would be nice to see you build a Zoukei Mura kit though....) we all know you would take what are possibly the best kits on the market and turn them into masterpieces....
Hey thanks for the expansion into airliners. Personally I love that models reflect stories. Some are historically significant, some aesthetically so. If you get a passion for a 767, you could do Air Canada's "Gimly Glider." It didn't look special. But it was all the same. Mr Mgeni
Však už se na tom pracuje. Musel jsem si uspořádat trochu priority a nastavit hodnoty. S rodinou jde malování malinko pomaleji, ale rád bych brzy něco uveřejnil. Vím, vím, akryl vládne světu... :(...je třeba trochu vyrovnat síly :o)
The Zvezda Tu-154 is a great kit but watch out when you are building it. It is molded from far softer plastic than other kits and sandpaper goes through it like butter. I sanded right through the roof of the fuselage on my first kit and had to toss it. On my second build, my razor saw went right through the fuselage while I was rescribing some panel lines.
For another interesting airline, see if you can find decals for Frontier. They're a Canadian short-haul airline, and have huge wildlife scenes on the fuselages!
hello david. adore your work and am in ore of your talent. you've said you'd welcome suggestions on model builds. i have no idea if kits are available but i thought a variant of Tupolev Tu-95 would be a nice build in 1:48 or The Russian Space Shuttle Buran sitting on it's transport Antonov An-225 Mriya in 1:72. thankyou for all that you do and teach, lot of thanks and application from the UK
Awesome build as always. Love The Simpsons theme as a child of the 80's I grew up watching this show as well. Keep up the awesome builds. Be great to see another ship sometime.
Beautiful! I used to work with the 737-300's for Southwest Airlines and the amount of dirt/grime/crap on the plane is just insane. Something I don't see well captured on most models out there. Everyone goes for the factory clean look which personally I dislike as thats not true to real life at all. Even in my flight simulator everyone goes for the clean look. Clean commercial planes are very hard to come by so your work captures that well!
Great job! Something really different, although I don't really have the space to start collecting airliners... Always look forward to your videos, and I love the way that you modify kits to get exactly what you want. Thanks again!
Im so glad you finally did an Airliner!! Boring?? No way!!. Looks awesome. I hope to see more! 767-300 would be awesome. I work on them so count me in!
Hi David awesome work you did on that airliner. I have a question, how long do you wait when you put a gloss coat before move to next step(painting, wash, weathering etc.)????
Hey PLASMO, when I was growing up building models I was taught to paint everything first (except the exterior), then put it together. I see many modellers glue everything together first, then paint. How do you get the small details like inside the engine and landing gear when you do this method? Thanks, and great videos.
Please do more airline models. Particularly the Boeing 777-300er and 787-9 and the Airbus A350-900. These planes are long, so you don't have to modify them. I think you are the best modeller there is.😃👍
airliners are not boring if you weather them, almost every airliner modeller builds their kits the same way, but theres a lot of areas where you can add scratch, photoetch parts, resins, and more!! BTW thats how an airliner has to be built!
Great topic, grew up with the Simpsons as well and love your result. You made this shine, literally, and am impressed with the mods made. I have been spraying Tamiya diluted with their Lacquer Thinner...it makes a huge difference for smoothness, handling and finish, but you need a spray booth. I had my eye on this decal set, but found the Zvezda kits for the model a bit pricey so didn't follow through. Another great video
I'm not a fan of airliner scale models, because they seem too boring to me, no exciting wheathering effects and stuff like that. Cause every military vehicle tells us a story only with its look. But airliners are just... nah.. But this is an absolutely amazing and lovely work! Well done David, i'm looking forward your next build! Cheers
'I just needed to make some small modifications' - Proceeds to saw the plane into three pieces and to extend the fuselage. I dread to think what 'major modifications' might be. Melting down a plane kit and remoulding it into a car?
Yes, something like this. :-D
Were you reading my mind?

Ian David should I attempt to turn my b-17 into a b-28?!🤗
„...even if it‘s not perfect.“ Me: what?! It‘s more than perfect!
Yours aren't bad either. Miles away from mines at least xD

Hi there👋🏻

That's so cool lol
Wtf
you were lucky the pilots didn't just put it in the ground 35 seconds after take off just to shut off the hello kitty cockpit warning sound effects... they didn't spend thousands of dollars in training for this... not for this...
Two things you are guaranteed in every Plasmo video: 'I just needed to make some small modifications' and superb craftsmanship.
Perfect. From modeling, cutting, glueing, to painting, spraying, and weathering. I am speechless. You're a great inspiration for me! Keep the vids up!
I actually saw the real Simpsons jet in Las Vegas many years ago!
I envy you :-D
Beautiful work, by the way. Your videos are enjoyable to watch.
Agreed
TAOFLEDERMAUS would you fire it? :)
PLASMO lol XD
9:22 that flat blue has a really strange shade ;D
:-D :-D :-D
MrMaffy96 lol just saw that, but we get the general idea.
MrMaffy96 when I seen that I thought to myself "he's probably been building models for 48 hours and now editing & barely awake lol
MrMaffy96 iiii
I have recalibrated my TV appropriately. :)
I learn something new with each video you do, but this time you have really outdone yourself. Those 2 joins were seamless, especially with the high gloss finish. Amazing work Plasmo.
He is one of the best Modeler's on TH-cam....
Airliners are tough regarding the finish - well done in tackling this with great skill and patience.
I also use a JLC saw. What a tool it is! Cutting is so easy and panel line restoration is a breeze. I've had it for about 4yrs now, still on the original blade. Excellent advice for airbrushes. What?! No Santa's little helper? Beautiful work on the extensions, another gem for your stable of work!

you sir are insanely good. extending the plane like that is impressive. hurry up with the next video :)

would have never had the confidence to do that. I would ave bought two kits. They say the beauty is in the details. You certainly have once again proven that, The final sanding and polish just made it pop! Great job
Only a master would consider modifying the wrong plane to fit the decals. Top work as ever!
Hmm as I am thinking about it. This way it sounds a quite crazy.
What a cool plane, and what a job with cut this and bring it together again!!!
I love watching David work. Such attention to detail. TBH, I haven't built up a model kit since I was a kid. And those that I built almost never made it to the paint stage, instead falling victim to the imagination of a 10 year old with fireworks.
What a beautiful aircraft! It is more enjoyable to see these older aircraft knowing it is harder to see them do to them starting to become rare!

Fantastic model, I cannot believe a human could create such a amazing model, until now
There a 3 holy grails of Airliners.

There is just no end to your skills David, That Simpsons Boing 737-300 is beautiful
Wow! I’m amazed at the results considering all the modifications you did.
I absolutely believe that you are the best!
David your skill never ceases to amaze...well done my friend!!
You are simply the best model maker I have seen. Could some of your next videos focus on your techniques, such as painting, gloss coat, decals, sanding, and such? You have me motivated to step my own builds up, but I doubt I will ever be as good as you....
oooo I love Airliners. Thank you for doing this!
That is a gorgeous build of stunning airliner. Well done all round.
Awesome job David!!!! And, awesome video editing and music selection. I flew 737s for 30 years and none of them looked as good as your models!!!
Every time I think I'm improving, I see beautiful work like this and realise, I've a hell of a bit to go yet.
Fantastic job as usual.
Thanks for the advise on the reason why you use 3 airbrushes. Thanks for the different suggestions though out the build on the air liner,David.
Absolutely splendid! Looking forward to more airliners in the future
Nice to see you trying airliners, something new which you have done a great job on as always!
Hey thanks for the expansion into airliners. Personally I love that models reflect stories. Some are historically significant, some aesthetically so. If you get a passion for a 767, you could do Air Canada's "Gimly Glider." It didn't look special. But it was all the same. Mr Mgeni
Excellent work my friend. There was a lot of work that went in to that . Well done David 👍
Amazing work as always, you'd never guess you made the fuselage longer
friend of mine done this decal set last year. looks awesome once done
no holes for windows.
no transparent cockpit.
"excellent" kit.
great job)
Plamo you inspire me to good on my models every time I watch you I learn something
I can see why you couldn't resist. Turned out really nice!
That's called model building, awesome can't stop watching
Glad to see you continue to branch out a little
Sir, Congratulations on a model well made, you are a real craftsman, congrats again.
Amazing Plasmo!!!!! Great work. Tanks for this video...
Fantastic work! I never have weathered my airliner models but after watching you I think I might try.
you are a genius,
making the fuselage longer
That is, good attention to detail. Awesome work!!
7:46 That’s a ‘Great’ Airbrushing Tip. Holy Cow - Thank you.
Yeeeeeeeees yesssssssssss yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas, a new videos!!!!!
ok, ok, You are welcome :-D
My thoughts exactly xD
Another amazing build that you have done there David!! Thank you for sharing your work with us through these great videos!
Děkuji za pěkné video. Radost se na to dívat.
Taky by jsi mohl přidat pár vidí. Tady každý barví figurky jen akrylem :-D
Však už se na tom pracuje. Musel jsem si uspořádat trochu priority a nastavit hodnoty.
S rodinou jde malování malinko pomaleji, ale rád bych brzy něco uveřejnil.
Vím, vím, akryl vládne světu... :(...je třeba trochu vyrovnat síly :o)
Weird - I had no idea just how small that model was until that shot right near the end when you're holding most of it in the palm of your hand.
Like that Marge is on the tail fin, fits perfectly
The Zvezda Tu-154 is a great kit but watch out when you are building it. It is molded from far softer plastic than other kits and sandpaper goes through it like butter. I sanded right through the roof of the fuselage on my first kit and had to toss it. On my second build, my razor saw went right through the fuselage while I was rescribing some panel lines.
For another interesting airline, see if you can find decals for Frontier. They're a Canadian short-haul airline, and have huge wildlife scenes on the fuselages!
Thanks for the tutorial! I'm currently working on a 1/144 Ed Force One 747, so it should help.
Thomas Aceto iron maiden is the best

Ahoj David! Great job to extend the fuselage. Another great video. Thank you!
Outstanding work, as usual! I appreciate the information you supply as you go along.
Very small, lots of work! Congrats! Thanks!
I have done the ground handling on the real plane many many times. So cool to see a model made of it. Nice work

очень круто!!!!! ты,МАСТЕР!!!!!!
Да есть чего поучиться)
Thank you! More airliners!
You, sir, are ridiculously good.
I bet you can turn an Airbus model to a Boeing and vice versa . Impressive work! Great model!
I love the Simpsons... great choice... great job
Cowabunga man, that's cool! Nicely done very shiny. Used to watch the Simpsons everyday and once a week too, lol.
He Foosed his plane for sure!
Great job! Something really different, although I don't really have the space to start collecting airliners... Always look forward to your videos, and I love the way that you modify kits to get exactly what you want. Thanks again!

Hi David awesome work you did on that airliner.
I have a question, how long do you wait when you put a gloss coat before move to next step(painting, wash, weathering etc.)????
As always a true soucre of enjoyment!! Very nice!
Nice one David. Great to see you working on new models.
Now do Iron Maidens 747 livery ! Nice modification, never let the lack of an exact kit stop you. Excellent work as always !
I was so waiting for this Video and building process and it was worth it!!!! what can I say only : PERFECT !!!
WOW, it lookes great, which thinner and ratio of thinner x GX100 you use? How long it then dryes before possible to touch the surface?
Love it. Great build. 👍👍🇨🇦 and thank you for the tutoring.
Great job on this ,haven't made a plane yet didn't even think of a airliner
Cool cool! All what i love in one video) Simpsons, models, airplanes!
As always, outstanding work! Kudos!

Finding a new video of yours is always exciting! I'd especially enjoy seeing you build an F-4 Phantom II in Southeast Asia camouflage.
Maybe time for a naval model? You do so well, all your builds look fantastic!
Youre the best modeller
not yet convinced on airliners but, as always, a great video and great skills
Maybe next time. :-D
David, por um momento achei que ia fazer besteira, mas fizeste uma obra de arte. Parabens.👍👍👍👍
Please do more airline models. Particularly the Boeing 777-300er and 787-9 and the Airbus A350-900. These planes are long, so you don't have to modify them. I think you are the best modeller there is.😃👍

Great build David - makes me want to build an airliner next!
Keep up the good work.
Great topic, grew up with the Simpsons as well and love your result. You made this shine, literally, and am impressed with the mods made. An image of the Simpsons 737 was the first thing I ever downloaded off the internet, way back in the early 90's.
Cheers
Superb work again ! Thank you.
Inspirational as always. I have watched this video at least 10 times. I have the kit and the decals but I'm still crap scared of stuffing it up.
Send it, that’s how you learn and hone your skills.
You have such golden hands~
