I can't even understand the level of patience to do this. I cant say anything else except that this is amazing and best if not one of the best videos I have seen on TH-cam.

A seemingly random suggestion from youtube... And I loved it! I do watch a great deal of WWI & II content so I guess it wasn't totally out of left field, but I haven't built a model in twenty years, back when I was a teenager. This video inspired me to go to my local hobby shop and pick up a few kits and paint so I could build with my 10 year old nephew. And now he loves it! So thanks for that Tom!
And I also have to add; this is one of the the most gorgeous models I have ever seen & I cannot imagine the years of practice to achieve this level of craftsmanship. Well done sir, well done. I work at an aviation museum and we have plenty of models and ironically (I guess?) the best models we have are of ships. Two are aviation related; the USS Wolverine, which was an old, paddle-wheeled coal collier converted to a practice carrier in Lake Michigan (no u boats there!) and the USS Nimitz. My other favorite is of an Iowa-class battleship, the Missouri I believe. I would have loved to see Tom tackle these behemoths, as each model is roughly 3-4 feet long. That in stop motion would have been insane!
WOW!...no words. You have some serious talent, the build was amazing but then to edit and make a video clip like that......priceless! Model gods take notice
For anybody to put that much effort into a project means they love what they are doing, I tip my cap to you sir, you have done what I have always dreamed of doing but never had the will power or patience to do. Great Video
Loved building these when I was younger, never did possess the skills or the patience to be able to do the fine detail work like riveting and drilling turrets. This artist is very talented and does a fantastic job. Very impressive. CGI has gutted this craft for sure.
Kind of like watching Leonardo da Vinci work! Tom, your videos are so entertaining and informative. You are a master in modeling like I've never seen. The music is perfect. You are also a very humble man judging from you commentary. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Well Met Tom! I have been an airplane modeler for decades, My model of the B-17 was destroyed when some punks broke into our house and trashed ALL of my models. M-60 Patton,, Stearman Biplane, USS Constitution ( fully rigged), Space 1999 Eagle, Bren Gun carrier, M1A2 Halftrack, and so much more...
Tom I don't know why I am here, but that to me is art in its finest. Amazing work, all based on a standard model kit. It must take patience and a lot of skill.
I have seen alot of stuff on TH-cam. This was by far the most impressive i have seen on an overall level. The build it self, the stop motion and the music added.👏
Truly impressive! What patience, skill on many levels. Superb model making ability and, apparently, an accomplished stop-motion cinematographer as well!
Absolutely incredible. Working in the aviation industry I'm always a little miffed that there is so much detail that is put into these exquisite models but there are never any little bug splats on the leading edges on these incredible models. Just an observation and in no way being critical. Love your channel!
Very enjoyable. Looks amazing Millions of people sacrificed so much for our freedom today. One man did 104 missions over Germany in these aircraft. Hewitt Dunn 390th BG 13TH Combat Wing 8TH USAAF Superb modelling
don't know which i enjoyed more, the attention to detail of the work or the excellent presentation of the process of that work through the cinematography, well done sir, great craftsmanship!
What a great presentation and you music selection was perfect. My Uncle flew the B17. You honor all the men that flew with your presentation. My Uncles story is on YT as well search “3 Days In May 1943”. Again great job
I am in my fourth year of doing model aircraft and believe me..it gets better. It takes patience and you got to try out new things on scrap plastic or a old plane you first built, and sometimes you got to walk away. Stick with it Benedict builds you will get there!
Just as fascinating as the beautiful attention to detail, is exactly how you managed some of those stop-motion shots.....How you managed to undertake both art forms concurrently to such an incredible standard demonstrates a depth of patience I can only boggle at.
Superb vide and build. I flew on the "Yankee Lady" at an air show and I gotta get one of these kits and do it up like her. They're huge....will have to hang it from the ceiling for sure
Such a beautiful plane. My Grandfather flew one in WW2, and he got to fly a restored one a few years before his death 7 years ago. Excellent plane and an excellent video
I first saw this video about a year and a half ago, and loved it for two reasons. Firstly, I loved it because by then I was already a loyal subscribed viewer of your channel for ages, and enjoyed every piece of content you produced. However, there was a second reason: the music. Since hearing this incredible overture, I have taken a deep dive into classical music. I now regularly listen to the works of all the world's greatest composers, from the Baroque period right up to the Contemporary. I've put on early classical period composers the most, with their typically light and dainty sound (I've found I like it best). However, I always come back to Beethoven once in a while, listening to Leonore Overture No.3, the Fidelio and Coriolian overtures, and of course, the Egmont Overture. Because of this video, I got a fantastic look at extremely well done modeling once more, and a whole new field of music to adoringly jump into. So I thank you for that. Also, if you do see this, perhaps you could see it as a good reason to have more pieces of the like for your videos? Just a tiny suggestion/request, that's all.
Love what you have done to add the metal bits to the plane, the guns, etc., and esp the rigging. Authenticity at this scale does require effort and creativity. Kudos to you man!

I'm pleased to hear 😊
I have seen alot of stuff on TH-cam. This was by far the most impressive i have seen on an overall level. The build it self, the stop motion and the music added.👏
I'm very pleased to hear 😊 thanks for your kind words
Truly impressive! What patience, skill on many levels. Superb model making ability and, apparently, an accomplished stop-motion cinematographer as well!
Thanks a lot 😊
Absolutely incredible. Working in the aviation industry I'm always a little miffed that there is so much detail that is put into these exquisite models but there are never any little bug splats on the leading edges on these incredible models. Just an observation and in no way being critical. Love your channel!
Thanks a lot 😊
Very enjoyable.
Looks amazing
Millions of people sacrificed so much for our freedom today.
One man did 104 missions over Germany in these aircraft.
Hewitt Dunn
390th BG
13TH Combat Wing
8TH USAAF
Superb modelling
don't know which i enjoyed more, the attention to detail of the work or the excellent presentation of the process of that work through the cinematography, well done sir, great craftsmanship!
Thanks a lot 😊
The amount of work this man puts on these videos is outstanding.
Thank you 😊
Outstanding preparation, construction and painting. The filming is outstanding too!
Thank you very much 😊
What a great presentation and you music selection was perfect. My Uncle flew the B17. You honor all the men that flew with your presentation. My Uncles story is on YT as well search “3 Days In May 1943”. Again great job
I'm pleased to hear 😊
I am in my fourth year of doing model aircraft and believe me..it gets better. It takes patience and you got to try out new things on scrap plastic or a old plane you first built, and sometimes you got to walk away. Stick with it Benedict builds you will get there!
Very impressive, remarkable patience and skill.
Thanks a lot
Just as fascinating as the beautiful attention to detail, is exactly how you managed some of those stop-motion shots.....How you managed to undertake both art forms concurrently to such an incredible standard demonstrates a depth of patience I can only boggle at.
I have got tears in my eyes!!! Wonderful video!! Wonderful model!! Wonderful music!!! Bravo and bravo again Tom!!
Thank you very much 😊
Superb vide and build. I flew on the "Yankee Lady" at an air show and I gotta get one of these kits and do it up like her. They're huge....will have to hang it from the ceiling for sure
Just wow. Fitting tribute to a plane and her crew that we owe so much
BRAVO! That was SO satisfying to watch, and the patience and skill to build this is admirable. Music is great too.
Thanks - I'm pleased to hear
YOU MY GOOD SIR HAVE GAINED ANOTHER SUBSCRIBER! A+ on Modeling and the attention to detail!
I'm pleased to hear 😊 thanks a lot
I just can’t get enough of these videos. I always picture myself building these as they go along but then I’ll stop, laugh and say “Yah Sure”.
Such a beautiful plane. My Grandfather flew one in WW2, and he got to fly a restored one a few years before his death 7 years ago. Excellent plane and an excellent video
Wow! My grandfather was in the 8th AirForce and flew the B-17 over Europe. He would have been amazed by your work.
Incredible attention to detail. To say I'm impressed is putting it mildly.
Thanks a lot 😊
Wow, from the amazing craftsmanship to the great editing. Simply amazing. The music even fit this project.
Thanks a lot
As a digital 3d modeller I always look at these in awe, there's so much that has to go into making a model irl
I don't think, until this very moment, I realized what a magnificent machine the flying fortress was... Bravo!
Thanks a lot for your kind words and merry Christmas
Great idea with the gun barrels. You learn something new all the time
Amazing job done! B-17 in 2020 still one of the most beautiful planes ever built, so simple in design but so elegant in shape and style.
Love what you have done to add the metal bits to the plane, the guns, etc., and esp the rigging. Authenticity at this scale does require effort and creativity. Kudos to you man!
I'm glad you like my work 😊
Not only are your models exquisitely beautiful, the little stop-motion movies are too!
Outstanding! In every respect! The model! The film! Absolutely flawless!
I'm happy to hear
a clockmakers job - really cool and awesome vid. No roadlong explanation "I have this and then made that..." really satisfying looking at such a masterpiece!
I'm glad you like my way of model making. Thanks
A rare combination of exceptional skills on display here. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks - you're welcome 😊
