Air King is the only watch that simulate Rolex Boutique Shop Front design, the yellow logo and brand text in green. This makes it special at least to Rolex's eye.
I finally got my 2024 Air King just over 2 weeks ago & it looks even better on than it did in the shop , love everything about it, looks different, contrast in the colours... yeah I'm well pleased !
Own it and love it. Looks great and is very comfortable to wear. A Rolex under the radar which one can wear without being noticed by the masses. Fantastic watch.
Got mine from the AD back in April, I was actually so surprised when i got the call, I instantly sold the older version 116900 and got this, I personally feel the new one looks so much better and has a lot more detail the older one was lacking in. Plus it sits nicer on the wrist with any jacket or shirt ect compared to the older bulkier one. Beautiful watch 😍

The Airking is a lovely watch, and I brought one. When the Daytona came out no one liked it, and now it is impossible to get. I had a Submariner which I sold as i didn’t like the fact that there are so many fakes around.

I don’t think there’s hate in the community, for the Air King. I had the complete opposite story. I wanted the air king, but AD offered me a yacht master and/or date-just.
I wanted this model and waited nearly 2 years for it. Was offered an explorer at the initial point which I was tempted by and had the opportunity to get a Sub from elsewhere. I resisted both. I love mine and it’s not getting sold on. If you know- you know. If anyone does hate this one, it’s probably because it’s the only one that has the actual Rolex colours on it 😂 For me this is the perfect Rolex.

I got to play with it and check it out and I actually loved how it looked so I picked it up. I got lucky I guess.

Congratulations on your new watch! I think the new Airking is a great watch and I would like to own one. Though it should probably not be your one and only watch as it is too quirky. I own the Yachtmaster 40 with the blue dial and that is also a brillant watch. But more versatile than the Airking. So I think you should continue pursuing the YM40.

I probably got lucky with a recent shipment or something. This was also a couple months ago, this video is a little behind 😅 Which explorer ii? Personally I lean towards the polar dial.

When I first saw this on line, I wasn't that impressed. Then one showed up at a local jeweler. In person, it is quite impressive It is a perfect size for me and I too like a little quirkiness in some of my watches. One of these is likely in my future.

It's the only Rolex I like although I'd prefer the mk2 dial on the mk1 case as it looks cleaner without the crown lugs and I wish they didn't have all that writing on the dial, there's absolutely no need for all that crap on it, anyone buying one of these would know it's cosc certified, Ingrave that on the case back!
@@watchgrok yeah it's not that I dislike the crown lugs or anything, I just think the only improvement it needed was adding the 05 and cleaning all the information off the dial, for instance check out the Pagani Design homage of it, the dial looks so nice with way less written on it.

You should have got the older version it’s more unique! The new is no where’s as nice a case shape and the missing 0 makes it more unique again
