Nice looking bike. Electrical problems are quite common on the 2007-2009 gixxers, one reason why I didn't consider getting gixxer. I bought a 2008 cbr600rr and love it. It's funny u mention taking the test on a scooter, I did too but passed ez as where most of the motorcycles failed. I taught myself how to ride as well but starte on a cbr250r. Cool to see someone with a scooter and sportbike, I'd still have mine if it didn't breakdown.
Nice bike man. I am buying a used 2008 gsxr 600 as my first bike too. Its nice to see someone else starting with a 600. Some of my friends that started with lower cc are regreting and trying sell their bikes and nobody's buying.. Hah ha

+10fantic "mods" stands for modifications. any modification (ie. stickers) can be considered a mod :P because it technically is a modification to the bike

I just sold my 2006 CBR 600 double r and I bought it 2007 GSXR 600 and the GSXR is light years better in my opinion. I also ride a Hayabusa and a victory kingpin the GSXR 600 is my favorite one to ride. I can make the motor scream drag my knee do a wheelie and not exceed 60 miles an hour if I don't want to. My Hayabusa this for when I just want to get insane and hit the highway workout for a very long cruise

With a Gsxr you should be fine. They have one of the lower seating heights of sportbikes, forget the exact number; u might want to lower it an inch if it doesnt feel quite right though. The gsxrs also pretty comfortable. So if youre deciding to get a 600 over a 250 your just fine, just be sure not to get ahead of yourself when it gets tempting haha.

you don't need to be tall to ride tall motorcycles.. you only need one foot. The gixie is the best motorcycle for short people tho (I'm 5'6 too). But I ride an R6 which has a seat higher than the CBR and Gixie.
If you really want a 600 cc as first bike go for the gixie. but a ninja 250r would be a good first choice to learn. The only problem is, you'll get bored with the 250r in less than 6 months, specially if you take it to the highway.

Nice bike you have there, looks somewhat better than all the blue ones, nothing against blue bike, my K6 SV650 is blue. That shop would not be in Melbourne, just a little off of US1, if so I use to live south of that area. Now live in the mountains, you would love it north this way, the Dragon is not far, and so many great riding areas, but you do have what I miss, the Indian River, and the ocean...Ride safe, yl

Thats good man, get'er done. The F22 starter shouldn't have a problem going into the H22 trans; unless, it's an automatic starter then thats a different story.
Oh thats right you live a snowy area. true. yea only put 30k on the accord since i bought it. its been a dd, its just that i also ride my bike from time to time. I changed the trans and I should have the car running again soon (the f22 starter seems to not fit the h22 trans) and then have my baby back- I really miss it. I get compliments all the time about it. One person- no joke- thought it was a bmw haha

Its hard to find other folks to ride with isn't it? Well I look a lot like Michael Jackson in Thriller, so that could be most of the problem. As Long as I find other Michael Jackson Thrillers I'll be fine. Right now, the only people that'll ride with me are 1000's of these insane Nymphos. Don't you just hate that?

750s are slower than 600s...
if you drift again.... i highly suggest get a cage for the tail aswell cuz those pegs will bend ...... plus really important the rear nut that holds your rear rim in place will get scraped... i would put a skateboard wheel there just as safety

Half the time i don't even know what gear i am in lol, its not really too important to me, its more of a luxury. But still its nice. Past 07, gsxr 600s are not appealing to me.
What brand is your stunt cage?

Find a good motorcycle mechancic to help with the inspection. What you should look for is; signs of it being dropped, stunted, rust, and if in doubt walk away

Im 5'11 so i think itll be fine. it is comfortable for me, but only so much. after all it is a sportbike. I believe they are made for the 5'10 to 6 feet range

I have a question. I've heard that 07 GSXR 600's are problem bikes. Supposedly they break easy/ have issues. I want to know if this it true because there are some pretty good deals in my area and I was considering getting one. Thanks

I'm looking to upgrade as I currently have the Kawasaki Ninja 400 as my first bike. I'm leaning more towards the ZX-6R 2007/2008 model but the more I look at the GSXR 600 the more I like them. Hmmm, decisions decisions :)

May I ask your opinion, I'm a new rider ( Age: 16 Height: 5'2 without boots Weight: 110 ) do you think this bike will be to big for me? I'm just worried if I go with this bike it will be to big for me since I'm lightweight and short and a new rider. Any input is much appreciated! Also a reason I was looking onto this is because I herd something about power modes. Also I found a good price ( $4200 ) which plays into how much I can afford.
Did you get a Gsxr. Power modes is only on the 750 models. The gsxr is one of the lower setting bikes and can be lowered a little bit more for your comfort.

I went with the Cbr because it was cheaper. increase(it was my first bike)

I started on an 08 250 and i'm extremely glad I did. the power that comes along with a 600 is just too much for someone who isn't used to throttle and clutch control yet. It's a great way to get yourself killed.
Upgraded to a 07 gsxr600 this summer, glad I waited.
