I think I used to tie this one years ago, only the variation I did, I used the yellow body like you did in the video, but I would use a "peacock" estaz chenille material on the back, and a touch of Krystal Flash in the tail. The fun part about fly tying is that there really is no "wrong" way to make a fly, you just adjust it to what works for you. Thanks for demonstrating this one, I totally forgot how effective it was on our local bluegills, and even a bass or two fell to it's charm:-)
I make a fly almost like that cool ... don t us the legs but black hen tied behind the head and tied to lay down cool !! I have not made one in years !!

I will tie some, today. Would this work on white bass? And clothespins are good for keeping the back legs out of the way.
They will work on white bass and any warm water fish.
