  • Kevin Durant earned the nickname 'Slim Reaper' because his unprecedented combination of size, skill, and shooting prowess made him the literal definition of a walking bucket. But how did we get to a point where every basketball fan on the planet knows exactly who he is?

      Steph needs to redeem himself the same way KD needs to. They both blew 3-1 leads they both need to prove that they can legitimately lead a team to a championship. If fans want to say Kawhi's ring doesnt count bc he beat an injured Warriors team then Stephs ring shouldnt count bc he beat an injured Cavs team and didnt win FMVP. Then when he had the oppurtunity to prove himself the next year he was clearly the 3rd best player on the court in the 2016 finals.

    "Kevin Durant has earned the nickname 'Slim Reaper' because his unprecedented combination of size, skill, and shooting prowess made him the literal definition of 'a walking bucket'"
    What? Although that is very articulate, that doesn't exactly explain the reason why some people refer to him as 'Slim Reaper'.
    It's a play on "Grim Reaper" (but with slim in reference to his built) and it's Grim Reaper because (as a Tv analyst - whose name I forgot- once put it).. "whenever you face him on the court, you're done. You dead."

I can't hate KD for what he did, he earned those chips, plain and simple, raised the stakes, made teams go all in or all out, while talent his stacked in less teams, those teams were a lot more enjoyable to watch imo.

    KD is the best all around scorer all time. Thats my personal opinion. No one has his full package with his efficiency. Kobe had the package but lacked the efficiency. MJ had the efficiency but lacked parts of the package.

    • @javierlandaverde4108
      @javierlandaverde4108 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I hate comparing players, especially the HUGE DIFFERENCE in rules and generations. MJ changed the rules, at a time where hand checking was allowed and Flagrant 2 fouls today would just be called a common foul. Even MJ needed to work on his body to prolong his career from players injurig him and he still dominated. KD is great scorer, very skilled for him height but KD's only biggest problem in my opinion is his body, he's been an injury prone player in his career and I don't think he would have lasted playing in a physical 90's era. He thrives in today's game because the league has gone to a skill and run up the court style.

KD wouldn't have to drive the lane a million times to score 40 on the Pistons like Jordan did. Plus Bird played with hanchecking and he got anywhere on the floor he wanted to so unless KD is weaker than Bird he'll be just fine.

      What LeBron did was weak, but not as weak as what KD did. LeBron organised the whole big 3 a few years before it happened. He didn't have a hissy fit when he lost and then joined a 73-9 team which, mind you, was already a pretty deep team in terms of a bench lineup. There is a lot more pressure on LeBron Wade and bosh because the heat team really didn't have any other players that did anything meaningful besides an old Ray Allen. Also LeBron won an MVP while on the big three, while Durant was a second fiddle to curry if you look at stats. Advanced stats show just how much more impactful curry was than kd. For that reason I believe that kd's move was weaker. A lot weaker.

      I can’t deny that this man is like no other, but I believe that his decision to move to a 73-9 team was poor. Please respect my opinion, as I respect yours.

  • @John14Paolo
    @John14Paolo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Honestly, If you were given a chance to be a champion, would you take it? to go to a better team, hence the term and word "better", define it, read into it.
    Its like in highschool would you rather stay with so called "friends" who use or betray you or would you want "better" people around you, you can call friends and achieve success with, just because the Warriors beat them coming back from 3-1 and Durant joining them, does that define him as a snake? that's arguable, but consider this, in the end it's all about legacy, it's all about business, and all about glory.
    It's not like he literally planned to go to the Warriors when they lost, The Warriors pitched to him as did other teams.
    So the bottom line question is "If you had a chance to be with better people, obtain an immortalized success engravef in history, would you take it?", And consider another argument that what if your not happy with the people your currently with and can't achieve anything with them, would you stay?, I think we all realized by now that Durant's move to the Warriors wasn't weak, it was wise and mature of him, as would anyone, Even LeBron did it in Miami. Let me know what you guy's think of Durant, Let's keep it clean and not be toxic my brothers, Godbless

    No moment to big for him? What about games 5,6,7 of the 2016 WCF when OKC only needed one win

    • @brendanbloom3366
      @brendanbloom3366 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      He scored 40, 31, and 29 in those games. He did that with gs loading up on him and ignoring his non shooting threat teamates. All gs had to do was keep it close and they could win in the 4th. OKC had the most predictable 4th quarter offense and struggled to close games out that whole year. They no longer had Reggie Jackson to run point in the 4th or that consistent 3rd scoring threat.

    Love the video. I have KD ranked 12th all time in ranking. Espn has him 14th, with oscar and Steph ahead of him, but i think he's better than both. KD and steph played on the same team for 3 years. It was obvious, who the best player was. If he wins a ring with Bklyn, how much higher will he be? I have him in my top 10 at that point. Wilt would be out. Wilt has unbelievable stats, but didn't win enough. He only has 2 rings and he was the best player in one of those championship runs. Check the stats, through KD and Lebron's first 12 years, the numbers are not far apart. They have same career avgs, minus lebron averaging 3 more assists per game. My order is 1. MJ 2. Lebron 3. Kareem 4. Bill Russell 5. Magic 6. Kobe 7. Bird 8. Tim Duncan 9. Shaq 10. Wilt 11. The Dream 12. KD 13. Steph.

    • @brendanbloom3366
      @brendanbloom3366 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wilt is the best center of all time. Kareem bill and Shaq had better teams but they weren't better. Bird over magic if we're talking prime for prime. Same can be said about kd and LeBron. Steph is not top 20 and he's not better than Oscar and IT. Hakeem is the better overall player than Duncan.
