Once again, Deborah was so honest that it’s the reason this deal didn’t work out, but once cornered she admitted the biggest problem. Nobody’s product will sell if it’s not an appealing scent. No matter how much you love the idea and positivity environmental it is. Very unfortunate the scent wasn’t there. I love everything about the ethics involved in a product like that. I’ve bought many products that cost WAY more because it’s environmentally friendly, small batch, homemade, amazing. The scent is absolutely crucial though.

They're selling well and are expanding but they still aren't in the big retailers or anything. They were right in that the business wasn't in a position to go for those big retailers, but they've still been mildly successful without that and are earning that couple a decent living which is great for them!
I have realised since starting to watch Dragons’ Den that people really put a lot of thought into whether or not they will buy something as simple as hand wash. For me, it’s 2 things: “is the bottle pretty?” and “Does it smell good”. I read the label only if and when my skin starts reacting to the product and I’m like “What is in this thing, by the way?”
I buy antiviral hand soap when I can. Specifically anti-viral. Anti bacterial is helping the rise of antibiotic resistant bacterial strains so I try to avoid it, won't really make a difference large scale but I feel like I'm helping a little.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there (myself included) who have to check the labels for the ingredients. I have ridiculously sensitive skin, so I have to be super careful what hand-wash I pick up 😅

For me, when buying a hand wash: is it cheap? Does it contain lanolin or rosemary? (I'm allergic.) If the answers are yes to the first one and no to both the second, I'll buy it if I need it. I'm much more fussy about hair products.

I think they've all got it wrong Peter's a downer put doubt in the rest of the Dragons mines. there's nothing wrong with the packaging some better clear statements is all that's needed, I'm sure they can fill any orders with the facility they've got it is very small outlay to increase production on a temporary basis, I think they're done quite well in 2 years considering they are amateurs in the game
