The reason MB and BMW lose a lot of value is after the warranty expires, maintenance and repair costs are way above average. The exception would be MB AMG and BMW M. The best way to drive an MB or BMW is to lease one and then dump it when warranty expires. Ditto for Porsche Cayenne and Macan. The 911 holds its value better, especially specialty 911s.
@@michaelpasold5083 Yes, I had that option but they're only good for a max of 50 miles. The tire is not fixable after that and I was told the tires were impossible to find. Things may have changed since I bought mine, but I couldn't go on a trip and be stuck for a few weeks.
Nice that Cadillac offers alternative to German sport sedans at an attractive price since Lincoln doesn't compete in that segment and the Chrysler 300 is ending.
The only difference between the standard 3.0tt and the V 3.0tt is 25 extra hp. It would be nice if GM offered a factory tune to 400hp and 450ft lbs of torque.
Drove a CT5 V today. Was really looking forward to it. Looks amazing on paper. The exterior is stunning. No complaints there. The interior suffers a bit where it’s clear they dressed up some bits here and there but at its core a CT5 is a bargain mid sized sedan. It’s reasonably pretty. The seats look better than they feel, and I couldn’t find a good seating position. The engine sound isn’t enthralling and doesn’t come across as special or exotic. Frankly, given the CT5s size, the TT6 should be the base engine. A T4 is an insult in this car. Ride quality was much stiffer and busier than I expected, even with the Magnetic Dampers set to Tour. Road noise was also higher than I expected. The Bose audio system was also a disappointment, with very dull and poorly defined mids and highs, and bass that was sloppy and lacked drive. My impression was that the CT5 does not live up to the Cadillac name, much less the V badge. It can’t escape its rental sedan vibe no matter how pretty it looks.
Too bad they never did anything with the rims as opposed to the Camaro SS 1LE where you get muscular deep muscle car looking rims hence the reason I went with it and the sparse interior is a nice change from the CT4 I previously owned.
@@Brian_Eugene_Lee they should’ve put them at the bottom of the wheel. I find them a little distracting especially when super cruise’s active green light.

You know, you can always find a good used example that is so much more affordable. For example, I listed for a Porsche Boxster. A new one at the time was in $60,000 range. So I bought a used one for $15,000 and enjoyed it for 6 years and sold it for $13,000.
Goodness i really dislike red 😂. I generally find white black red and blue on cars to be massive buzz kills, unless its a reallly well done pearl or iridescent white (similar 2 the galaxy color on the blazer ev)
Problem is, if you look at any other car in this price range, the statistics for their performance/reliability/rating, whatever are just much better than this car. The engine and styling is not worth $71k. This car should be about $40k-$50k max. Then it would be a good price. The interiors in caddies the last dozen years or so have been horrendous and every year is rated terribly. Their performance has also been rated lower than similar engines.
The problem with German luxury vehicles is maintenance costs after warranty. Also horrific depreciation.
no luxury car holds there value
absolutely

Love my 22023 CT5. Just wish it had a spare tire. I may just compromise the trunk space for a tire and jack.
Mine has run flat tires so I don't need a spare

Love it. Just wish it was a bit faster or able to mod it at the least.

If you want more power, then buy the Blackwing. That blows away anything that European cars have to offer at a better price.
i like the rear end on her
Sheesh she’s such a beaut

If you could live without a few of the pricey options, you might have a real bargain.
The 2025 will be quite the upgrade with the new interior/gauge cluster.
Was there heated rear seats?
This car should have a 3.6L with a manual 6 speed as the little brother to the V8. Sales would have been through the roof. C'mon Cadillac!!!!!!
Lol I wouldn't buy a 3.6. Harder to work on then a ls and junk. Cost u more in the long run and it qould definitely never resale worth a crap
Thank you Ben for another GM review. .

Those steering wheel lights for the super cruise need to go.

I'm assuming the ones flickering are IR and aren't visible, but I agree, the green light all the time is a little much.
My 2010 rt makes 380 hp. 380 horsepower was last decades numbers were over 4 now in some 4 cylinders
Sadly only the RWD version offers the magnetic ride suspension.
I wouldn't buy a CT5 now bc the 2025 model will get a new interior.
Magnetic ride control is standard on the CT5-V. The CT4-V only offers it in RWD.
Yeah it's nice. It should be for $71K.

Only 70k, not bad. Any BMW M5 or E63 would be so much more.
This doesn't compete with the M5 or E63. The ct5 Black wing competes with those.
