LOL! When back is front and front is back because of where the intake sits! Ian - I bought all those parts from you last summer for my Range Rover. I ended up installing everything on my BGT and the B runs fantastically! Never ran better. I should email you a video of it. (First start up after 14 years.) Poor Rangie never got up and running. I was thinking about buying all those parts again this summer for it! LOL!
Yer got that a bit "back to front" LOL. Well we often say our parts fit all Rover V8's and you have just had that first hand then :-) Glad the BGT is running well - you know they are one of my favorites but the Range Rover will need our upgrades too to feel loved :-)
@@RPIEngineering You are right, but to my defense I would like to say that before I watched a video of the old Aston V8 engine with these beautiful cam covers. Thanks. Cheers, Georges
A fully dressed Rover can be between 200 and 250 KG however often depends on what you count in the weight factor, what fuel and ignition system is used (exhaust manifolds etc as well) as with any engine and its weight.
Sounds utterly fabulous

@@RPIEngineering I just sent a video via email. It's not the greatest quality, but the sound should come across!!
@@wjthehomebuilder Yes got your video thanks. Certainly sounds good.
Great 👍 info. ... shared to 7Spot
Hi,
What does DJE on the cam cover stands for?
Cheers, Georges
Believe its an company that used to build engines.

Hi just curious what would the weight of these engines be compared to American small blocks :)

@@RPIEngineering yea I'm trying to decide what engine I should go for in a v8 MX-5 build
@@RPIEngineering thank you for the help :)
Quarter to 25% throttle....?
Yes sorry 0 to 25% is what I meant. I do get tongue tied sometimes and it seems in this video I did a few times.
Just imagine this animal with your 5+ltr conversion!
4.6 Merlin engine is more than enough. We know because we went there :-) www.v8wizard.com/photo_gallery/gal_nigel_dean.php
