    Haven't seen dual port intakes in a long time. I have one on a 4cyl Toyota and it has the primary side about 1/2 the size of the secondary. Put a Weber on there and you can really feel when the secondaries kick in.
    The concept of dual port is solid and it does work, but it's mostly a mid range torque thing. It would be awesome if they split the intake and the heads all the way to the valves. Have 2 intake valves that each have their own runners.

    I've been watching lots of American V8 performance videos recently. I would say virtually none of them used the Edelbrock carb if they were looking for performance, all using Holley. Your comments would be of interest.

    Been waiting for a new video! Thanks! I have an auto-choke on the shelf waiting, seems easy enough to install on other youtube-videos I’ve watched?

    This conversion looks very tempting for my stock '84 3.5 auto twin Stromberg Range Rover. I'd consider this or an EFI conversion in order to get better reliability and a better daily driver. Do you have any information on a Holley Sniper EFI conversion for the Rover V8? From what I've read, the Holley Sniper is better (not Lucas) than just swapping the bits over from a Rover with EFI already on it.

      We do not use or sell any half way EFI system which is a carb with EFI added to it (or built for it but essentially not multi port EFI) we would rather go efi properly using a rover multi port system or keep the simplicity of a carb.

    • @offroadoffshore8987
      @offroadoffshore8987 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RPIEngineering ok thanks. Is the Rover multi port system on your website? Is this the same or different to just getting donor parts from an existing EFI Range Rover/Discovery of that era?

    • @RPIEngineering

      @@offroadoffshore8987 If going EFi we would use the Land Rover Hotwire EFI system. Mod the heads for use with injection, upgrade the ignition, Chip the ECU for the 3.5 litre engine. Obviously sort the fuel pump out for EFI , install a inertia switch, mod the speedo cable to give the 14CUX its speed input and wire up the P/D/R switch from the auto box to the ECU.
      We can supply all you need if you drop us on email on info@v8engines.com however personally I would go the Edelbrock carb route and keep it simple.

      @@RPIEngineering oh wow, I didn't know how involved it was to get it right! Thank you for explaining the best route. I think you're right re going down the Edelbrock route and keeping it simple, especially if it also improves daily driving and performance. We I have the funds, I'll definitely send you an email re my setup and options. Thanks!

    Hoping for the arrival of a Rover P6 3500 next week, he's undecided as yet. It's just lying in a barn. So a bit of pre-emptive shopping maybe. Is there a solution for the P6?

      Absolutely, supplied and fitted to lots of P6's. Drop us an email to info@v8engines.com and we will advise you accordingly.

    what happened to doing a video about heads

    • @RPIEngineering
      @RPIEngineering  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We would really like to do a video on head where all the heads that we offer etc are side by side. However with how fast orders are moving and the quantity of engine orders that we have on we have not achieved having everything on the shelf at one time for a video. So unless we change how we would like to film it and film each head individually then we need to wait until the right time to video. It will still happen just a case of making sure that we film it right the first time so we dont have to go back and do it again :-)

    I'm using a 3.9 EFI RRC with a 1990 model TVR engine. My birthday is September 13. Can you gift me this set?😅

    • @RPIEngineering
      @RPIEngineering  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No need the EFI system that the 3.9 Range Rover Classic uses is generally very good and will run the engine perfectly with the right ignition output and a good EFI setup. If your having problems with it please email through to info@v8engines.com and let us know what issues you are having and we will start to help you remotely.
