Enjoy your podcast. Especially loved your sock pattern and colours. I have never knit a sock but will give this a go. I will wait to hear how you go on the second heel. Thanks.
Aylsa, I have really enjoyed your videos. Do keep posting, you are great in front of the camera, a knowledgeable knitter and dyer. And you do look wonderful in that red.
I knitted the Fabel knitwear Olivanders wand it turned out great, put the wand sparks in with my own handspun from Ixchelbunny here in au. love the show.
Hi there in LA, thanks for watching! I'm a massive newbie but trying to be more myself in front of the camera so I appreciate you saying that about the vibe. Hope you're loving your summer there in LA I think the LA climate is similar to LA I believe, doesn't really that cold..
My first time here and I very much enjoyed listening/watching. I like your brioche top but I don not like knitting brioche. I only tried it once, fairly recently and I did get in a muddle. The sweater in red is beautiful though it wouldn't suit my colouring. I think that style of sleeve used to be called 'leg-of-mutton', or 'gigot'. I actually just googled it and they were fashionable in the 1830s and again in the 1890s. I also remember having a cardigan with similar style sleeves when I was in my early teens, that would be the early 1970s. It will certainly make a statement! I'm not a sock knitter but your socks are lovely. So is that lovely grey yarn! I am often tempted by gorgeous yarn without having a clue what I will make with it. Btw, I am in the UK, on the edge of the New Forest in the south of England.
Hi there, thank you so much for commenting. I’m not a big fan of the brioche either, I need to do a class for it I think. The red pullover is way out there for me too, but I love the silhouette of it.
I love your channel. As a new knitter, I’m enjoying all your projects and ventures. I’ve started a channel, bravely, as a new knitter! It’s called Renee’s Knitting Journey. Oh my gosh, I adore the red dyed yarn and the sweater! I adore the design and the color on you. You can definitely pull it off. Very modern and sophisticated.
Hi Renee - congratulations on starting a channel, I know how difficult putting yourself out there! I have to psych myself up every time before I press the record button. I'll be sure to check out your channel and look forward to seeing your knitting journey. Thanks for commenting, I really appreciate it.
Your Oxford looks Great on You Red suits You so well… also love the top you are wearing. With Socks if you watch Earthtones Girl on TH-cam Denise has great tutorials for socks, that’s all She teaches, tips for not getting those Holes at the heel. I use her Shadow Wrap heel pattern for socks, similar to what you did but I think fit better. Enjoyed your video again you’re doing a Great Job. Take Care from the Gold Coast. ❤
Hi OllieandMay - I'll definitely check those sock tutorials out. I'm not a huge fan of making socks but every now and again I kind of force myself to try it in case I've changed my mind. Like oysters, but I still don't like them either lol. Love the Goldie.
