Lovely video. I grew up on the Sunshine Coast on a farm at Diddillibah Road Woombye. A teenager in the 1960s it was the best place to grow up. School holidays at Maroochydore Surf Sand Sun. Mum cooked a roast meal for Christmas, ham and roast chicken. We bought the chooks live Mum choped their heads off and us kids had to pluck the feathers off. Love your pink cardigan you look beautiful in it.... well done.
Thank you for your podcast this year. It’s lovely watching an Aussie knitting show. We have had the same menu for the last 30 years or so. Prawns, ham, turkey with a fairly complicated stuffing and plum pudding and brandy sauce. The lace cardigan suited you beautifully especially in pink. I look forward to seeing your 2025 knits. All the best from Sue in WA.
Lovely pink cardigan. You are generous to gift the vest to your Mum. The UK are more festive during Xmas. Have you heard of the tradition of the head of the house knocking on the front door, with a small bag of coal. And offered a whisky? My UK cousin told me the tradition but have forgotten how it is done exactly. He has since passed. Unfortunately Im a Xmas scrooge. As a child it wasn't a happy time. My sons have grown up and 5hrs away in Adelaide. Our Xmas amounts to a roast lamb with the usual vegies. Best wishes for the New Year.
OMG your knits are amazing, that cardigan 💕 I’m also a dessert person, it’s the pavlova for me, oozing with whipped cream and fruit. I’m feeling a bit lame I’ve lived on the Sunshine Coast for years now and still haven’t found a casual knitting group, I need to get out more 😂 Merry Christmas and safe travels ❤
Hi Everyone! Only a few days to go till Christmas now! Come join me where I share what I think could be the most beautiful knitting pattern on ravelry. This cardigan could be my most favourite knit of all time. Hilariously, one of the buttons fell off during filming - snatching defeat from the jaws of victory as usual! 🙂 I'm curious to know what you guys are eating this Christmas - it's all about the dessert at my place. I'm making glazed ham and two trifles (and a cheesecake if I have time), I'd love to know what you're having too, so let me know below. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all of you - and I'll see you all on the other side. Thanks for watching, as usual. Ailsa
