    The problem with Russian opposition like Navalny - who was only constant in exposing internal Russian corruption against Russians, not in his International policies which he changed to court the West, is they do not oppose Russian corruption world wide, its constant crimes against humanity, it's brutal Colonialism and crimes through its history which have never changed. Navalny supported, cheered the invasion of Georgia and Ukraine, as if one can be divorced from the other. They want Russia to continue to be a Mafia State on the International stage, but honest at home as if that is honorable. Navanlya opposes arming Ukraine Kara Murza opposes sanctions, they perpetuate the victimhood Russians have been groomed with to keep them slaves to a strong man. None of them will succeed in reforming Russia the way Nazi Germany was. To do that the inhumanity embedded in the Russian culture, even to each other (just look at the rape culture the abuse of Russian conscripts in the military and in prisons) the selfishness, the conceit, the Imperialism and Colonialism that is source of pride for them, must be exposed, condemned, apologized for, and rejected. There must be guilt, not absolution. Only Kasperov seems to grasp that. Would ANY of the other opposition return lands Russia stole - ALL of Ukraine but also Georgia, Moldova, would they stop their horrific abuse and Colonialism in Africa or would they continue and expect blanket forgiveness? It is difficult to accept collective guilt, or to choose a leader who will since one probably won't be imposed this time - would Nazi Germany or Imperial Japan have committed to peace unless forced?

      @tk80mufa5 14 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +3

      No, of course not - to answer your rhetoric question. ;-)
      Russia will never change.
      And btw, if you look at Germany & Japan - the supposed two "good examples" - Japan hasn't really dealt and processed their own crimes in a Western way or sensibility - and Germany on the other hand has turned its militaristic anger & lust for destruction ( with the help of allied occupiers social re-engineering ) against itself.
      Not sure that was such a great idea either.
      P.S. nobody ever mentions Italy - because they are a beloved scenic tourist destination even for Hollywood - today they even have a shrine / pilgrimage site for Mussolini 😂

    • @KAS-pip
      @KAS-pip 11 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Germany has museums to their atrocities, both Germany and Japan had a time where they were pacifist, only abandoning it because threatened, they still debate using weapons, it was an obstacle in their sending Ukraine tanks, allowing them to strike in Russia. Germany Japan and Italy have not invaded another country since WW2 - Russia never stopped. What people forget is the USSR partnered with Stalin to invade Poland, and when Hitler was defeated and Germans were de-nazified, their people rejected Hitler he is seen as a villain. Russians still worship Stalin who went on to kill torture oppress 50 million people, more than Hitler, with genocides like Holodomor and forced deportations of all their neighbors to gulags, even to brutal purges inside Russia. And after the USSR fell apart Russia continued invading - not like the US to fight a leader, to occupy forever, to genocide. When Hitler invaded France he did not turn it to rubble, Russia on the other hand did that for Assad in Syria, did it themselves to subjugate Chechnya and now does it in Ukraine. Russia invades at will, including in Georgia - and is a terrorist organization world wide committing atrocities in Africa to indirectly colonize it with civil wars and coups. There is not another country on Earth as evil as Russia, the entire world would be better off without them including Russia. They are locusts, a plague. They will never be peaceful until they see that see it is wrong are ashamed of it and teach their children to be and commit to never doing it again as yes, Germans did.

    Gentlemen, a suggestion from a retired lawyer from Canada, to make the reform effort less daunting, would be to follow Canada’s lead when we became an independent country. We enacted legislation immediately adopting all the laws of England at that moment, to continue in force unless and until otherwise enacted. Gradually we wrote our own laws in a Federal system, which replaced the English laws, but we immediately were able to achieve the Rule of Law. You could chose any democratic country you feel comfortable with, whether Finland, Canada, etc.

    • @grahamstrouse1165
      @grahamstrouse1165 3 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      I’m not sure how well that would work. There aren’t really any large European counties out there that match Ukraine’s circumstances closely enough to make for a useful role model. Also keep in mind that when Canada became fully independent in 1982 (I can’t believe it was that recent!) it still had close ties to the U.K. & and a large friendly neighbor to its south.
      Poland is probably the country most similar to Ukraine in character, size & geography & they’ve both been through a lot of the same kinds of experiences. I’m not sure the Polish model is one to emulate, however. They’re still very much working out the kinks.

We know that oil is Russia's biggest resource and that it costs them more than $50 per barrel to produce the oil so they would be selling at a loss.

We are now at a moment in history where just as in WW2, except we have PRE -knowledge and forewarning and foreshadowing, the freeworld which is usually led by moral souls, is being directly threatened in its existence (by the force of will backed up by sadistic acts of barbarism against an entire large Euro nation called Ukraine (now already over 160K documented war crimes including sexual torture early in the war as a deliberate tool to get compliance of entire nation, etc), half the city of Kherson was tortured!!!!!! (thats not a small city!).

  • @halporter9
    @halporter9 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

    Konstantine: I think you have underlined a key note by addressing the need for persons who understand and practice effective politics in an effective opposition. Clarity of vision amid a variety of competing self conceived programs (or none at all) must be an eternal problem organizing opposition elements into a broad coalition supporting programs to destroy a regime. Perhaps even harder, moving forward creating a governing group. Clarity is required on the one hand, yet to maintain group coherence differences must be compromised, programs fuzzed a bit while at the same time, core principals be maintained.
    It can be achieved, the US Revolutionary War is an example, though the colonies developed an ad hoc government to fight the war, maybe Czechoslovakia, no doubt there are others; look at Ukraine’s struggles over 30 odd years.
    But my point? it sometimes requires remarkable actors and effective politicians.to rise to an occasion and achieve a common result. We may pick at the flaws in important historical figures; sometimes important, sometimes not, and always such imperfections are red meat for KGB subversion. But the remarkable things are what some of these persons achieve in spite of all too human limitations.
    And among other strategies, Putin has murdered those most likely and politically skilled enough to achieve some unity and end results over the entire 25 year period of his rule. Most important that this foreigner has heard of is N…. (I apologize for an aging memory) on the bridge in 2015 and Navalny. But as I remember, there have been so many public intellectuals physically destroyed since the beginning; not solely those anonymous business and military figures (and their families in a few cases) falling out of windows or suffering gunshot wounds in hotel rooms. (A few mysteriously dead in Washington DC hotel rooms-what KGB brass balls, and what spineless US officials-just before these other deaths became a meme).
    K. And J. Are absolutely on target on these points. Respect skilled, effective politicians, especially when they seem honest (if a bit too ambitious) at their core. Without them, the way forward is at best obscure. Indeed, one of the most “damning” comments about a figure like George Washington acting among gifted colleagues, “ he was the essential man” who made everything work. These are the persons who killers like Putin aim at. And it is a sad commentary that sometimes it may seem that there is only one.

Plenty of politicians (including the subject of Godwin's law, who did participate in combat, was the target of assassination attempts, etc..., or a more recent example of the instant-tan loving putin's apprentice, who was also the target of assassination attempts) have shown personal bravery and yet have gone on to cause immense suffering and injustice through their policies

    What can you say about "Why There is no Effective Opposition to Pukin's Regime . . . " that is new?
    Don't you realize that there was *NEVER* ANY "effective opposition" to any Regime in Moscow?
    I wasn't going to watch this because I first thought it was another "Inside Russia" episode.
    Seeing that it is an episode of "Silicon Curtain" I will watch it.

    If more people outside of our pro-Ukraine silo heard what Konstantin had to say I think it would be easier to shore up Ukranian aid. There are a lot of normies out there who are still convinced that Putin is ten feet tall & bulletproof & that he has infinite reserves of men and money.
    Konstantin has a lot more inside information (and a more thorough understanding) of Russia and its fundamental weakness. There are a lot of Americans who are rightly frustrated by increases in the cost of living. What we’re suffering through is NOTHING compared to the economic catastrophe that Putin’s genocidal war is brining to Russia.
    Russia’s sent so many of its farmers off to war that they don’t have enough people left to harvest their damn potatoes.

    *ru-afghan war losses of 15K total: since late this summer with the ru big ramp in attack effort/pace, ru has lost that amount almost every two weeks, or sometimes 3 weeks, as if they are giving one last big push, along w/ massive expansion/increase in mass civilian attacks, along with expanding to the highest value areas and cities, which happen to be the most russian speaking and cultured even, namely Odesa; along w/ the first documented period of drone hunting of civilians, randomly, for training purposes and testing of new tech drones, in Beryansk (per DWelle report/show), Kherson, and Zaporyzia.

    Who among them except Kasparov donate to Armed Forces of Ukraine? Who advocate for giving weapons to Ukraine? If Putin managed to occupy Ukraine within a month they would be happy, as most of them were happy when Putin occupied Crimea
    They have imperial world outlook identical to Putin and are enemies of Ukraine
