    I’ve been a viewer and financial supporter of Konstantin’s channel since early in Russia’s war on Ukraine. And it’s been fascinating watching him grow into a trusted source of accurate information on other channels.
    I shall forever be impressed by his ability to preserve his objectiveness while covering what must be a personally painful journey watching his homeland and its people (his countrymen) spiral into this abyss.

      It's especially annoying because they have access to smartphones, so there is no reason to be so uninformed. I sometimes hear people comparing russians to WW2 germans when they learned the truth about what happened, but they aren't really comparable. The Germans didn't have access to such information, russians do. They even gloat about some of the atrocities.

      He is just wonderful to listen to. He is a True Russian. Not a WAR MONGER like CRIMINAL PUTIN. I love to hear about Russia as he sees it. We all hear what Russia wants and it's not war. This is the RUSSIA I miss. Konstantin should put his hat into the ring for President. What True Russian wouldn't VOTE for Konstantin? Russia has a CRIMINAL PUTIN NOT A PRESIDENT. Russian economy limping along, are pretty amazing!
      But old Soviet Union military supplies are long and deep, even with corrupt officials selling off equipment and munitions for +30 yrs!
      (2005 movie Lord of War was inspired by real-life international arms dealer Viktor Bout. ) Putin exchange prisoner's for him, why? He's Putin's kind of guy! Knows stuff, knows military munitions connections!
      Here are some details about the real-world inspiration for Lord of War:iktor Bout
      A former Soviet military officer who became an international arms dealer and trafficker of blood diamonds after the collapse of the USSR. "Bout" is known as "The Merchant of Death". In 2008, U.S. agents took him down in a sting operation. 🚀🇺🇦💥💙🇺🇦🩵

He also had Mike Johnson hold up aid to Ukraine for 8 months, despite it being popular among Democrats and Republicans. Trump winning would be the end of Ukraine. He would stop aid.

      Heroiam slava. You know, I think Konstantin is smart, and his eyes are a lot wider open that most Russians. I know economics are his thing but he seems to have no problem talking about the Ukrainian strikes on Russia. Haven't ever heard him address the massive war crimes Russia has committed. I think I heard him mention them once and said basically 'I dunno.' I guess my point is.... I don't see much empathy for Ukraine from him. Its more - he doesn't like the war because its bad for Russia.... not because its bad for Ukraine. Thats why I stopped following him, Smart guy, is against the war which is good, but against the war for the wrong reasons, I think. Okay talk about economics and the oil refineries... but why not talk about the childrens hospital?

    Konstantin, we Germans have always recovered like a phoenix from the ashes, how many times have we fallen? Too many times, but we are proud of what we once were, excluding 1933-45. Russia on the other hand has never shown the same determination, nor the will to restart, they just plod along with the same structures in a new wrapping, Zar, Chairman, Putin, all the same. You can't compare the two at all

    • @18_rabbit
      @18_rabbit 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +19

      of course. But also Germany lost so much in so many ways in a quite tight time frame of 1914-1945, finally losing so ignominiously & having outsiders occupying it, etc. My idea and that of a german scholar friend of mine is that it's bcuz DE was so down and traumatized that it had no choice but to do precise wise new ways of doing most things (though DDR arguably fell right back in to the old-world trap of the militarized-life). Ethnic russian ppl will have to undergo some actual severe hardships and humiliation before they're motivated. They really are different from germans personality-wise partly bcuz there's a lack of imagination, a lack of being part of european society where the influences of The Enlightenment etc, which is how/why notions of democracy/human-rights came from. What we're seeing now is actually THE most interesting global sociological/political challenge since WW2

    It took me a while to realize that, after watching and listening to other Russian (and not Russian) commentetors. He really knows intuitivly what's going on in Russia. Who's going to get rich and who'll get poor, and why, overall in Russia.
    I like his straight forward approach of not beating too much around the bushes about this paradoxical enigma of mixture of good and evil that's Russia today!.. But from the inside of the Konstantin's good and very human heart! U feel like you can trust him.

      Trump and Putin met in Helsinki and Trump ( illegally of course) promised Putin to give him Bill Browder!
      He was to hand over an innocent American citizen to Putins justice!
      How crazy would that be?
      Of course the legal system in The US stopped this.

      How did Trump look the other way. Trump was not
      in office during the seizure
      of Crimea or the invasion of Ukraine. Your statement
      has no merit.

    I remember in 1991 or so seeing a news report in which a Russian woman says to a reporter,
    "How did we become so poor?".
    Perhaps in three or four years Russian citizens will be asking that question again.
    The answer will be one word - "Putin".
    Hopefully the Russians will understand that and will not be fooled into blaming Ukraine or blaming the west for problems caused by the idiocy of the Putin regime.

    • @18_rabbit
      @18_rabbit 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yes except not really one word Putin: actually he only exists within a club called the Siloviki , a few dozen or hundred, perhaps couple thousand elites. They operate by controlling the several federal security police/intell services and miltary intell service. Only Star Trek has the right analogous org/s armies etc that resemble what Ru actually is. VERY dangerous bcuz they just...keep...going and they will try to damage our way of life, bcuz they lack imagination, and they view economics falsely visavis international affairs.

      It's a sweep of anyone who has direct connections to that country. There are a few I once followed, none of them military, but it's seen as a way to give information that's less than truthful.
      Like international conflicts since people began those conflicts, the sweep is for everyone.

    Europe has to stop buying Russian LNG and Russian oil, refined in Turkey, from Turkey. Purchases of refined products from Turkey was about $ 1 billion per month. LNG purchases this year , from Russia, remains at all time highs. Europe is a major supporter of the cost of the war against Ukraine. Businesses are not interested in morals and use every loophole they can. BTW refined product from Turkey is about 10% lower than the market price.

    Konstantin, thank you for the great work you have done, you are extremely intelligent and informative on the Russian economy. Economics is very difficult to understand and you explain their problems well. I am sorry you have to be going through this in your life and wish you all the best. I wish Putin would just stop, but evil dictators never learn.
