      I did this twice in classical by accident and won both games. Both times my opponents looked annoyed and rushed through their opening and I just got a winning position early.

      One thing I've learned from these high level chess players is it's actually better endgame to be aggressive with the king and keep him hugging your pieces. On back row alone he's dead.

    I think that the reason Magnus spent so much time in the first move, is not being late, but seeing a mate in 347 moves unless he plays symmetrically.

    The way the king tiered and staggered its position to defend those pawns was absolutely sensational - if stockfish did that I'd frown disapprovingly at the dominant superiority of the top bot but Magnus, apparently a human man, did it. In 3 f-ing minutes... No wait 2 and a half. Fuck.

    One of the best Yokozunas in sumo would actually troll the opponent and do several false starts to throw him off balance mentally since everytime he had to bend down and await the clash, sometimes even standing idly for a whole 20 seconds eyeing him down before they started

      Each has 3 minutes, and you gain 3 seconds in each move, and the number of moves are like the same as a classical game, so its unintuitively the same material to cover
