Bilberry may be problematic for diabetics. When I looked for more info, I came across a 2013 journal article that reported “ingestion of a concentrated bilberry extract reduces postprandial glycaemia and insulin in volunteers with T2D.” The reported 18% drop in blood sugar might be good for the subjects, who weren’t taking diabetes meds - but possibly dangerous for anyone who does take diabetes meds, especially without glucose testing.
For more info, search for the title “A single supplement of a standardised bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus L.) extract (36 % wet weight anthocyanins) modifies glycaemic response in individuals with type 2 diabetes controlled by diet and lifestyle.” The brand used in the study was Mirtoselect, which apparently would have been 160 mg. of an extract. Sounds like a smaller dose than the product showed in this video.

I would dispute that & say that cod liver oil is the better oil to take as it does supply vitamin A which is an important vitamin for eye health & it was when I was lax in my diet due to lack of money & not having the resources to take cod liver oil that I ended up with torn retinas in both my eyes which really annoyed me because I knew that vitamin A was one vitamin that I needed to be on as I was aware that my body didn't process my food properly & needed the extra help of cod liver oil. We were given it as children in the 1950s to boost our vitamin A levels.

No one benefits from a 'supplement' other than the corporate profit from lying to you...all a con. Just eat real food...geez...!

That's absurd I'm sitting here telling you that my terrible eye problems went away after 5 days of taking lutein with Zeaxanthin supplements.
I don't have anything to gain from telling you this .

Obviously everyone doesn't have eye issues that run in their families from inflammation to glaucoma and cataracts and can get everything they need from healthy foods but people like me with multiple eye issues can definitely benefit from supplements because we need more than we can get from food .Surely you can understand the logic in this
Especially when we get older and our bodies don't absorb nutrients as well as they used to .
All I know is it works for me and I thank God for it .Maybe you just hate corporations too much to see the light (pun intended ) lol

Eat poison, cause the problem, fix symptoms with more poison. Look up cognitive dissonance. Good luck.

@@expletivedeleted my neurologist has prescribed me supplements. the fact that they're overmarketed as panacea doesn't mean that vitamins aren't real.

When did you go to school to become an optometrist, at 5 years old? You're so sweet and awesome at explaining this information. I can listen to you talk without falling asleep. Keep up the good work 👏
