I just came back to watch this again. Thank you so much for the detailed info. I am about to set up my coop and evict the chickens from their brooder box. It's about time for them to sink or swim.
Real interesting as usual, I dont know too much about them but I think you could do well with one of those 3d printer things, you could print out those cups and also all those little connections. But their is much more you can do with them, you have an engineering background so you should be able to pick up on how they work pretty quick. I just think it's amazing that instead of going to the shop to buy these parts you can just print them out yourself. Imagine being able to print out a part for your car, especially just now because of all the shortages. You please take care and stay safe and my thoughts are with you and your family God bless buddy
Really informative video. I really have never raised farm animals, so I'm learning a lot from your videos. If we ever get to build on our property, I really want to at least raise some chickens. I am wondering if you have a well on your property or if you're hooked up to a residential water company? We definitely will be having a well drilled once we get going because water is outrageous here in California and they'd rather throw out good, clean Sierra mountain water into the delta for a small smelt than divert it for agriculture. 🤦♀️ Well, it IS California. But where we live right now is probably the worst hard water in the state. Like I always say, you can have all the food preparation in the world, but without water, there's no way to make for very long. But I really like your videos because you give clear, concise directions and I know if I have a question, you'll definitely respond. I truly do appreciate that!!! Stay cool in these last week's of summer and God bless you and your family!
Amy I'm on residential water but I'm have been thing hard about getting a well put down. The only reason I haven't already is because my neighbors have wells so if things got bad I could get water until I got a well. Thank you always for your kind words and yes I'll try my best to answer any question you have. God Bless!
@@papawsplace that's so good to know that your neighbors have a well. I appreciate your responses. Some creators just don't respond back to questions, even when they ask, lol. I really want to put a well in so it's not something I have to worry about, but it's definitely an investment! Thank you and God bless!
rmojo23 these are working out very well with the quail. About one a week I stick the water hose over them to wash the sand out that gets in them from the dusting box. I really like them. But not good for rabbits. I put a rabbit in a gage I had setup for quail and the rabbit chewed on them. But I didn't buy these for the rabbits I use nipples for rabbite.
I liked that idea of putting the floating bead in the hose to see your water level better.
Thank you Ms. Shelley. This watering system has been working out great.
That's genius. I know you didn't come up with the idea but you're the one I'm watching. 😃
Thank You Ms Martha.
Great how-to vid! Thanks for the links, and God bless.

After almost a year how are they holding up?

i like to know the water hose supper
Ms. Vanassa I would love to help you but I'm not understanding you question.
the add on water hose
you will need something like this amzn.to/3c4OEdb But make sure it's the size for the hose your are using Example: 1/4 or 5/16 or 3/8
how are these working out for you?
Mr. Matt, I haven't had any issues with these cups. I just take the watering hose every couple of weeks and wash the settlement out of them.
