Thanks, Terry. I just hatched out my first batch of birds on Friday & Saturday. Your YT videos have been an enormous help. I got about a 35% hatch rate on 40 eggs from Amazon. Probably not too bad for my first batch. I had to put down one deformed bird. Sad but c'est la vie. I hooked up a seed warming mat to an STC-1000 and set it to 35°C which is working well. I made a feeder by drilling a few holes in a plastic jug. It is working well also. I made a waterer from a jelly jar nested in a larger lid held off the bottom with a couple of screws that let water in when the birds drink it down. It works well also. All of that is a stopgap until they move out of the makeshift brooder. I bought some Rubbermaid wire shelving that looks to make a rock-solid cage. The shelving is plastic-coated and has 1/2" spacing wire-to-wire on the floor. The lid is the door, hinged at the back. The cage overall is 72" wide by 20" deep by 12"tall. It's almost as good as any commercial cage I've seen and was only $85 for the parts. The floor is 72" by 20" with 1/2" spacing, wire-to-wire. The sides are 12" tall by 72" long with 1" spacing. The lid is 72" wide by 20" deep with 1" spacing. I have the same plastic cups you showed in your video today for the waterer.
    So far, so good.

I think (On mine anyway) the treads are actually 1/8" NPT pipe threads. I have not experienced any leaks.

Hi Terry, what should I do to get rid of the cloudy from apple cinder vinegar? The water always stop running with these nipples bc of the cloudy from the apple cinder vinegar. I have to rain off water to clean out the cloudy and also the nipples to make the water run through again. Thank you!

How are your liking the hatching times cages. I love them. I am going to use your design though. They are worth the money but pricey

I picked up a 3 tier hatching time cage used. I was able to get the water system primed but it took a bit. Now I have 2 of those nipples that have a small drip. Is this common with these nipples? I like your idea of having 2 in each cage for back up. But I worry about more of them developing slow drips. Was this video done before you switched over to the other style that is horizontal?

Hi Terry, could introduce us something about the Marek‘s disease? My baby quail (8days old) can’t stand and always trying to roll up

Should have been a pipe tap 1/8 NPT

I wouldn’t recommend tapping it that second time could strip or cut the new threads u just made.

Have you ever experienced the birds not figuring out how to make it work?
