  • The Antonov 12 is one of the oldest planes which still flying in the european skies daily. It can be recognized by the characteristic smoke trail which is always following the old ukrainian smoker. In this video we have five different Antonov 12` s, by Ruby Star, Ukraine Air Alliance and Cavok Air. The reason for the visit at Münster/Osnabrück Airport was a shortness of supplies of a Mercedes factory in Bremen. These old Antonovs were not allowed to land at Bremen Airport because according to some Airport officials these planes are to "loud and dirty".
    Participating planes:
    1.) Ukraine Air Alliance AN-12 UR-CZZ built 1963
    2.) Ruby Star An-12 EW-394TI built 1967
    3.) Cavok Air An-12 UR-CKM built 1972
    4.) Ukraine Air Alliance AN-12 UR-CAH built 1968
    5.) Ukraine Air Alliance AN-12 UR-CAJ built 1968
    Thanks for watching, I hope you liked these classic and exotic planes and please don` t forget to rate.

    that last plane touched his nosewheel down first. The design obviously generates so much lift that they have to nose down so much on approach to actually get the thing to lose altitude

    Looking forward to info on the An 178. Have found two videos on TH-cam. It has the nose and face of a An 148/158, the shape of the cockpit instrumentation framework screams that of the latest and greatest, and an iconic figure that says the AN 12 gets a 2nd life.

    It is still nose-down altitude for the last two AN-12 at final landing stage when they are servel meters above the runway. Is there technical comment about this? Thanks.

    You know, nose low or even flat attitude during landing has some danger. It is possible to "wheelbarrow" and end up crashing (see the video of the cargo jet crashing in the middle east). Is the high speed - low angle of attack necessary because of different wing leading edge conformation?

    Hallo Antonovs - Antonov 12 Arrivals kaptan how are you today? © 06-39370214

  • @island5317
    @island5317 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How come all Russian or Ukrainian planes are bad on fuel and bad comfort on their passenger planes. Why can't they get it through their heads that it's not 1970 and we have better engine technology now. The only good Russian plane is the sukhoi super jet 100. All the others like tupolev illyshin and antonov are horrible.

    • @jacktorode7517
      @jacktorode7517 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess thats because antonov planes are built to survive in every extreme (a lot of western planes like fokkers and ATR's wouldn't survive like antonovs do) and most tupolevs are from the 70's anyway, but I see your point.

    • @island5317
      @island5317 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      But even the newer planes like the tu-204 also has bad fuel efficiency. It was developed around the late 80's I believe. Around the same time planes like the a320 and 737-500s were developed. So why are the tupolevs seems to be 20 years behind in engine technology?

    • @island5317
      @island5317 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't speak Russian... And if your trying to say something about the an-148 well that's one out of many Russian aircraft that have acceptable fuel efficiency. All the rest are crap.
