Ukrainian CAVOK Air @Eindhoven Airport; CLASSIC An-12 'Cub' Departure

On Wednesday February 3rd, this Antonov An-12 of CAVOK departed from Eindhoven. The aircraft has a characteristic color scheme in orange and dark blue. It has been a long time ago that CAVOK aircraft have visited Eindhoven. The company was for more than a year not welcome in the Netherlands due to regulations issues. The An-12B came in on Friday just before the weekend and departed four days later to Gran Canaria. During its departure the weather was horrible, but is was it worth to catch it. The aircraft departed from a dark and rainy Eindhoven leaving a long black trail of smoke behind it.

I was in Riverside County California yesterday and one of these screamed by overhead. It was my first time seeing an An-12. The flight was from San Bernardino to Houston Texas. She sounded glorious.

i live about 3 miles from one of the runways iah and when it passes over my house for landing people stop because of the racket it makes. it's amazing and also the trail of black smoke that it leaves

@@cauwama those items are the reason why we all love these kinds of planes in aviation. they are so old that it are operational museum pieces. Personally I love it 😎

@@AlexvanNoije yeah, i swear it gets even more attention than the Emirates A380 that used to come to iah a few years ago. really the only plane that i've seen get more attention than those two is the 124 that occassionally comes
