This guide changed my life. I used to be a successful entrepreneur, with my world famous brand of "Grandma's Own Carrot Cake" (moist and delicious) sold worldwide. I owned thirty seven properties across four continents, three yachts, two small islands, six families, four thousand six hundred and twenty one employees, seventeen butlers and a full head of hair. Since I found this video, over the course of the last fifteen hours I have become addicted to bloodbowl. I sold everything to buy a single games workshop branded team and to deck out my necromantic models using warpstone in bloodbowl 3. My hair fell out, my wife left me, my wife left me, my wife left me, my wife left me, my wife left me and my wife left me. Thank you AndyDavo, bloodbowl is my life now.
Not adding Wilhelm was definitely a miss on cyanides part. Would really like to see more star players that contribute to all teams like Akhorne or Grak and Crumbleberry
Very much liked the addition of showing incremental team values. Felt like it had been missing from previous guides so happy to see it added in this one.
I try starting with 2 Fresh Golems, 2 Wraiths, 1 Werewolf, 6 Zombies and 3 Rerolls. I would say this is really hard. Once Werewolf get KO, you lost all score potential.
how they managed to not include Wilhelm or Frank is really beyond me and honestly really they both need to be added as a mid season hot fix and not wait for a whole 1 or 2 seasons to go by before thats updated. but also please Cyanide give us Akhorne, as well as Grak and Crumbleberry, cuz they can be used on any team, but more importantly they are just fun star players to throw in there.
I come back to Andy's guides whenever I set up a new team, don't always abide 100% but I love the chaos of random skills sometimes, what can I say! Thanks as always Mr Davo
Necro are my favourite team and I've done well in local tt leagues. I love the wraiths, sidestep-guard is such a strong combo. I use a 2 werewolf 0 flesh golums 3 rr build at 1000 tv. I've not levelled a wolf enough to use it, but I think Juggernaut would combo very well with the frenzy after blodge.
Just got in to Blood Bowl3, When The Wife and The Kid go to sleep I brew some coffee and watch your vids. hopefully you keep it up and do some updates race guides ( if they are needed )
HERE WE GO! Thanks for the upload, updated tier list please mr davo! Gutted about your game vs diomed, was a dicing, Thanks for the upload ! Best one yet, a lot more crisps, you appear somehow younger, and the format is ace with better graphics!
I do like Block on Zombies quite a bit, though that's probably because I play Necro (and Undead) more aggressively bashy than what Andy does so end up with Zombies in contact more often than not.
Something to note with necro on starting roster is the dangerously low number of player that can actually handle the ball , i would more go for sacrificing a wright and take another werewolf or a ghoul. I did start with 1 wright , 2 werewolf (1 is out) and 1 ghoul . Like i did face 2 necro with the 1 ghoul , 1 werewolf build , the first one couldn't handle the ball after he was hit by heat wave and the second , i did ko his werewolf leaving him only with the ghoul and after i sucessfully block it , he didn't have anyone else .
I think that's the difference between a league team and a ladder team. In the ladder having 2 ball carriers for a couple of games is fine. If it goes wrong you delete the team and start again. Personally I want both wraiths on the starting team as wraiths are amazing players, with only 2 rerolls I want some block and I want to help them level asap.
Hi Andi, oh, I just love your guides. 😍 This is particularly useful for people who haven't been around for very long. Also absolutely helpful for coaches who are thinking about getting started with the team. Thanks for this. 😊 And I would like to expressly thank you for the raid on my Twitch channel. 😮🤩 When I concentrated on making my move in the match against Kheldar in the DBBL, I didn't even realize what was going on. Typical me. 😬😅 Big thank you aaand the 🌍 needs more Blood Bowl, let's get to it! 🏈❤
Another great guide Andy. Keep up the great work! I tried keeping up with you on twitch, but the time change in Canada puts most of your streams on right around the time my kids get home from school and I’m getting them back out the door for sports. Thanks for putting your stuff on TH-cam so that I can watch when it’s convenient for me!
In BB2 i always prefered Undead, because i prefered the Mummies over the Golems. But with the change from wights to wraiths they feel more like different teams to me so i can play both.
Thanks for the video, appreciate the insight! I do have one suggestion to consider for future ones if possible: timestamps in the video description so it's easy to jump to specific sections.
The best starting roster is 3RRs and no Flesh Golems but all the other positionals. You really need that 3rd RR on this team and the Flesh Golem is eye watering at 115k. He's just a slightly stronger, harder to hurt Zombie but at almost three times the price. The excessive cost doesn't outweigh the very slight advantage to bash that he gives you. Also with both Ghouls and Werewolves from the start you can share out the TD SPPs a bit more.
"and its the only bit of chat i do read" pffft it figures andy would read the cess pool of youtube comments section rather than his own chat..... lol. Great guide looking forward to running necros, undead were a blast and this guys look like "weirder" undead
not having wilhelm as the coach reward in the blood pass is a big misstep not having cheney when necro are released is actually criminal i am guessing the only thing i want implimented (1d3 chosen mvp) also isnt in yet? that is going to make it almost impossible to get more than one level on a wraith
I personally do a slightly different build and would build a Werewolf as the ball sacker as it is faster and with frenzy can have a second go at sacking. The ball sacking ghoul would then be a utility/general annoyance but then I'm not as good. I also play Necro hyper aggressive and rush the ball carrier with Werewolves and ghouls.
Im late to the party but I always like to keep my TV low at the start if possible but having 3 RRs (especially when 70k) is important at the start especially with AG3+ players So I like 1Golem 1WW 2Wraiths 7Zombies 3RR FF maxed TV 920 30k in the bank I just like the low TV because it allows to adapt yourself to the opponent with inducements and avoid giving free weapons to your opponents for a rookie player with no skills. If WW gets a skill quickly you can get the second one as the first one can fend for himself. Or get the second Golem if the WW doesnt skill up. These babies need to be pampered and protected like your own children lol But first AndyDavo's suggestion is the most effective for most players probably
Great team for a league, but as long the ladder keeps the limit of 1600 TV, they're not useful on it. Both expensive players and RR, means you only have a few skills to choose once you have covered the basics (block on golems, weres and necros, plus Dodge on wolves)
Thank you very much for this guide what about this starting roster : 2 wolves 2 wraiths 2 ghoul 3 reroll for 1000k ? I like have both wolves, 4 player that can play the ball and 3reroll, but is golem a must have to start ?
Hello! Thank you for another great teamwork. How to play for the underworld now? Is the team dead or is there a chance? Maybe you have some ideas about this, this is my favorite team and the snotlings are forever in my heart.😂
Lizardmen orcs and undead have been hard for necro to deal with. Orcs and lizards can bully tbem, undead mostly do what necro do, but with str 5, mighty blow and cheaper players. They just lack the fun of frenzy and claws. Necro do get better than undead but not until around 1500-1600tv
I am thinking about buying my second team after playing with the Chaos Dwarfs for 6 years. I am interested in Undead, with the two mummies and so on, although I also like this team because of the variety of different characters. Which one do you recommend for a more novice player who tends to make bad decisions? In other words, me :). Congratulations on the content, best regards.

Thanks for these guide videos Andy. I played a lot of Blood Bowl 2 but just getting around to Blood Bowl 3 now.
It's improving fast. Now I only play BB2 sometimes because I love Vamps so much

No problem 👍

Noted!
These are always good - thanks!
Glad you like them!
Thanks, Andy!
You're welcome!
The Wilhelm model is what originally got me into Necromantic on the tabletop. Big shame he's not in the game yet.
Thanks for the info, good stuff!
No Wilhelm or Frank? That's a serious failing.
I was going to say similar.
Can't believe the pumpkin patch boys were released without either of them.
Putting in the wraith star player instead of Wilhelm is so crazy. Maybe enough people complained about Wilhelm that they delayed him

that sir, is an opinion!
Andy told me to comment that "he needs help"
Always!!
Oh Chaney is really what is missing for this team.
Ye0, sadly
Gretchen has a cool model and iirc she's the coach you get at pass lvl 50?
But imagine having Chaney in that place! Werewolf coach would rule!
"and its the only bit of chat i do read" pffft it figures andy would read the cess pool of youtube comments section rather than his own chat..... lol. Great guide looking forward to running necros, undead were a blast and this guys look like "weirder" undead
I read all of chat. some i choose not to interact with!

new underworld guide is in the offing
First necro game
For me
So if you were going to make a ladder team and want to pick one with an advantage on necro what would you pick?
Lizardmen orcs and undead have been hard for necro to deal with. Orcs and lizards can bully tbem, undead mostly do what necro do, but with str 5, mighty blow and cheaper players. They just lack the fun of frenzy and claws.

Undead are more forgiving, necro are more fun.
Why not both? If you get GW or Brutefun undead and necro you can mix and match getting 2 teams for 1 1/2 teams

Wolves go woof
also Frank n Stein is missing...who would be pretty useful with his str 5...

Appreciate the comment thou, thank you
Love you
no, I love you
Wilhelm is the idol alpha wolf, he should be in the game! Huge mistake. Frank and Luthor also!
completly agree
I hear AndyDavo is lobbying for a california surfer team to be implemented in fute team releases .. ;)
go wilhelm!
I thought skellies were the worst player in the game 🤔
They are...

You take that back, skeletons in football pads are gems who must be protected
I honestly think we need more of the generic star players and Wilhelm was a huge miss imo.
