    INFORMATION ABOUT Woolyknits WOOL //
    Based in a mill in the heart of England, at Woolyknit we produce a variety of quality wool yarns available in a huge range of shades. We pride ourselves on our ability to combine 200 years of age-old techniques and experience in the wool industry with our passion for sustainable, renewable fibres.
    The responsibly sourced wool used in our luxurious yarn comes from sheep that roam freely on the fells and downs of the British Isles and thrive on a simple blend of grass, water, fresh air and sunshine. Every year they are sheared in the Spring months - an essential part of good farming husbandry - which helps rid them of potentially damaging infections such as blowfly strike and keeps them cool during the summer months.
    To celebrate the natural qualities of our pure wool, our yarn range also includes natural undyed colours, spun using the original colours of British wool pure breeds.
    At a time of increasing concern about the future of our planet and the exhaustion of its resources, it is vital that we use naturally occurring materials such as pure wool. If correctly treated, this high quality material will reward the wearer with many years of comfort - and at the end if its lifetime it is fully degradable making it an ideal sustainable and environmentally friendly product.
    Care of the environment features strongly in our strategic planning and we are selective in our supplier base by choosing to work only with companies that have a sound ecological footprint.

    Inga, I have to thank you. Your calm nature in your podcasts are so enjoyable to watch and listen to. It has gotten me back into knitting. Thank you for showing the Wooly Knit Yarn2Cone British Wool for the Half + Half Triangles Wrap. I am in the States but ordered some and have been working on my wrap. It is lighter weight yarn than I’m used to using and can see this is a commitment but I am enjoying it! I wish there was something more I can do to send you my appreciation. Might need to buy some of your patterns 😊 Happy knitting!!

    Thank you for an interesting video. I also have a child sized head - about a 6 year old child. Hats are always problematic for me. Love the jumper you are wearing. Loving all the autumnal colourways. Knitting two beanies sounds like a good idea. I will adopt that - I like knitting beanies too, and socks. I have downloaded the watch cap hat - it looks like a good basic pattern, easy to fit most heads.

    Inga you have some of the most incredible knits but my favourite are your hats by Purl Soho. In fact you should knit them in all of your favoutite colours 😉 The half and half shawl just looks so cosy. I am knitting hats with a twisted rib and main body in stocking stitch. When finished I will embroider on the hats.
    Just something different. The one blue knit on my circulars is a Ukranian hat. I will embellish the hat with a Ukrainian flag and a symbol for peace. The white hat I will embroider with something else I am still deciding...

    Hi, Inga! I'm doing the same garter bumps on my socks, when I use this heel construction. Trying to learn new heel constructions lately and I've enjoyed TAAT method for socks, both are good either cuff down or toe up. Toe up is better when you have limited quantity of yarn). Thank you for this episode and for your time!

    I love all your hats! I also have a tiny head, and have to make child-size hats for myself. I love the idea of making two, so I can keep one! I really appreciated your explaining how to adjust socks. I am quite new at knitting socks, and the tips and tricks will help me get them right. ❤ I recently finished a Tulip Route sweater (only in gray, red, and near-black) and a Fireglow Cowl. Thought maybe this might be easier for your reply. Thank you so much for your inspiring podcasts. I love your quiet nature and how many knit items you crank out! Hiii love! I was watching a video from Anna Passey; and I asked her if she can make a video explaining how to make the jules sweater from sandnes garn since the pattern is extremely confusing to me. And she said that the hasn’t made it but she knows you are making it. So I’m wondering if you can ever make an explanation video on that sweater?

    • @knittingtraditions
      @knittingtraditions  ปีที่แล้ว

      Im not sure if il make an explanation video since its a paid for pattern but i will talk about it in my next podcast as a finished object, its a circular top down yoke with textured charts for the yoke and then straight stockinette after, is there a specific part thats unclear?☺️

    • @nikijalali978
      @nikijalali978 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@knittingtraditions Oh thank you so much for answering! the entire thing is unclear to me, like the beginning, do I have to just do ribbing and then start on german short rows, or should I start the ribbing while doing the german short rows. I'm so sorry to trouble you I just really want to make it and I just am not good enough at knitting yet
