I got in bootcamp as E1, I passed my 1st PFA and DEP test and got E2.. I also applied to be section leader and I was one. Not just that, all my 2nd and 3rd phase inspection are 5.0, also my section got the lease hit during inspection. Also I passed all 3 tests and PFA..I got advanced to E3. My RDC managed the female house. I had to work extra hard not only to get myself into the 10%, but also I need to make my section looks good for inspection to make my RDC acknowledged that I do work hard. I only talked to my RDC like 3 times over the 2 months training.. So for future recruits that lives in your brother div's house, you need to work extra hard to get advanced..
Tee H I was in bootcamp from June to August 2015. The test is easy, you will get a lot of time to study those..I spent 2hrs studying for each test. Are you going to bootcamp?
Silverwood Productions just focus on the START guide and you should be good to go. That's what I did, just mastered the START guide.. everything else you will get those in bootcamp
Basically, the triangle higher ups can only pick the triangle workers for the 10%, and the square higher-ups can only pick the squares, aka, they can only pick people from their own division(square/triangle). What's unfair is that soldiers who are square can live in a dorm filled with mostly triangle people, and most importantly, only triangle instrustors/commanders(promoters). Meaning, no matter how hard a square works for those 3 faces(triangles), the ultimate person who really matters, who is the only one that can choose you for the 10%, is not there to see you work hard because they live in a separate building->where most of the squares live(the drawing on the right). This is for an integrated division aka where triangles and squares are mixed together. For an all male division, there is no triangles or squares, there is only all circles :) Correct me if im wrong, but the triangles and squares are divisions right? And in those divisions for an integrated house, there can be both genders for each division, yes? Oh, and on a note, it is also possible that they did see you work hard but they didn't promote you because you did all those things for the other house, not their house, so it didnt matter to them. So maybe, if a person goes to the other(their main division) house, the one they don't currently live in, to do those things, they may be seen to be qualified for the 10% in that main division, but mostly -> 8:15 Going to the other house would just be weird

The way I found to pass each exam was to study continuously, not take leave this adds up at the end of your enlistment. and to create a game out of it and each person in the class is your competition for end game points so that's how I proceeded to achieve a 90.70 average in GM A school. It is all about pride in your work if you're planning on becoming a Gunner's Mate. It's definitely not for everyone.

Prince Angelo Baybayan he might of had a few from getting collage credits from highschool classes but he signed up straight out of highschool or maybe right before he graduated. He’s very smart and was at the top of his class. A lot of depends on your rate I guess for promotion rates.

Hi Joy. At your school join the ROTC program. If your school doesn't have one find one in your area that does. Connecting with a officer recruiter wouldn't hurt. You would first go to an enlisted recruiter then they would lead you to the right direction. The enlisted recruiter, most likely, will try to get you to join enlisted first. They will try to say its a better way, but its not. They're doing their job of recruiting and filling numbers. So yeah, the biggest thing is find a ROTC within your school or in other schools and join.
Jolly Charleston You could enlist and then go MECEP (MECEP is basically the Marine's enlisted to officer program). I'm sure the Navy has a similar process. But MECEP is very competitive and I don't anything about you (fitness, brains, personality, etc.). I'd say try and find an officer recruiter and apply for the NROTC scholarship. You can get what's called a side load (2-3 year) scholarship that won't cover ALL expenses, but will still take off a huge chuck of money. I only know this because I'm a high school senior going through it all. Be ready for lots of paperwork and, most importantly, pay attention to the details. If you don't know something, ask someone who does.

However, you can’t strike the test while in A school. So, showing up to basic as an E3 means you can’t test for E4 until the first test cycle after you graduate A school.

VAULTZ #2 you get E2 if you do two or more years of jrotc, only one person can get E3 while in boot camp, and the person is the honor grad who was a contract E2
miguel Vasquez Not true for Navy. Honor Grad for Navy was the only one able to go from E1 to E3 upon graduation, everyone else was a single pay grade advancement. I got to basic as an E2, left an E3, and was not the honor grad.

If you're an Eagle scout you will be automatically promoted to E-2 in Army boot camp.
E3 for Navy! Maybe it depends on scout rank or time.

for normal boot camp its not 450 yards. Maybe like 50 at best. for PST to try for special warfare is 500 yards non stop.

I thought it depend on the number of years you are serving on your contract. If you are doing 6 years you get E3 automatically.

At rtc, you're max advancement is e-3, no higher. It's after boot camp you start advancing more.
I can’t believe I came across this shit, surfing the net. Focus dude, focus. I joined the Navy 7/71, I was 17. I didn’t give a shit about rank or medals, I joined to fight a war. I was discharged 4 years later a GMG3. Went to Vietnam twice and held an E-5 billet my last 2 years. We lost the war and 58,000 men. Please focus on winning the damn wars. I’m 65 now and my country has been at war with somebody all my life. Train for war.........

Aloysuis if you have 23+ credits you can go in as an Officer. So I would say take another class before you decide to join

VAULTZ #2 you get E2 if you do two or more years of jrotc, only one person can get E3 while in boot camp, and the person is the honor grad who was a contract E2

miguel Vasquez Not true for Navy. Honor Grad for Navy was the only one able to go from E1 to E3 upon graduation, everyone else was a single pay grade advancement. I got to basic as an E2, left an E3, and was not the honor grad.
As for NJROTC getting E3, you still have other requirements to hit to get there. If you don’t do any DEP time, then you’re at E2.
