    That is one of the best videos on how and why to apply ACF-50 I have seen yet. Well done. Mine is a 2010 GS Adventure and it still looks like new because of the ACF-50 treatment. Thanks for sharing.

    Congratulations of going over 1000 subscribers. I've been putting ACF 50 on my bike 2 times a year. I think it works great. First couple times used the spray bottle. Since then I've switched and now use the air compressor/paint sprayer that is much more effective/easier. Also bought a bike dryer, makes drying the bike much easier and faster. Really helps getting water off the radiator and in the hard to reach places. Thanks for the video, maybe "all year biker" will franchise and open up here in the USA. Happy New Years !

    Had mine cleaned a few weeks ago with my local BMW dealership, it takes about 3hrs with ACF50 and it is a little cheaper than AYB. Used to have it done by AYB and there very good. I also have my own bottle of ACF50 in the house to use every couple of months on the bike.

      Mike Dignum cheers mike. What impressed me was they were quite happy for me to watch and with time and materials, to me it’s a bargain. I had mine done from new by the dealer (it was November) but I saw none of the application so no idea what they did. This was thorough for sure

    Nice job.
    I would recommend, for the first part of the cleaning prossess to avoid the high water pressure, and try a professional steamer. Only 8 bars of steam pressure, is more efficient than 160 bar of water pressure. It cost a couple of thousands but it worth the investment for a professional. The use of high distilled water (reverse osmosis) for steam makes it safer for the electrical circuit, it is smoother for the sensitive parts of the bike and more efficient for the hard dirt also combined with microfiber clothes wiping out everything, anywhere because it's warm, and wiped directly with the microfiber clothe. You don't need more than 3-4 liters of water, and you can add wax on the steamer to combine it with the steam for the painted part.

    Thanks for doing this. I found the advice on ACF50 vs XCP very useful. I've alternated in the past between ACF50 and FS365 as U hardly ride in winter and clean my bike after each ride at this time if year but have got some XCP to try out on the more exposed parts of my GS like the inside of the swing arm and around the rear hub which I find the best way of doing that it to remove the rear wheel which being shaft drive and a single sided swing arm really easy. Off to look at you other vids now.

      Hi Graham, it doesn't wash off over certainly a number of washes. The advise was if you are occasionally riding the bike year-around then do it start of winter and beginning of summer, but I don't ride much in winter so it's a protection of the bike stored and then pretty much every time I get back after a wet ride I swill it and then clean deeper when I bring it back after a weekend or week away. Hope that makes sense (Certainly it doesn't wash off first time)

    I've been. Using acf 50 for years. It does work but unfortunately, brine and salt in the USA just destroys my bikes even with the acf50. I just don't take my bikes on salt road anymore. This winter my bike is riding the southwest USA, no salt there.
    I do coat my cars and truck undercarriage twice a year.
    70 pounds is a deal in my opinion.

    • @nickhodgeUK
      @nickhodgeUK  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Steven. I'm with you, we don't know a winter here really but anything from about 40f down they salt. That brings moisture out of the road and that turns to corrosive Brine. My cousin in the twin cities has a 'snowflake' old car that lasts him about 5 years and then he scraps it. (His other cars are immaculate!)

      @@nickhodgeUK I'm in the northeast USA., AKA the rust belt. It's terrible here. I now only lease my cars as the corrosion is terrible no matter what u do. Brake lines on our cars usually start leaking at 4 or 5 years from corrosion.
      From November through March, there is constant brine on the roads now no matter the weather or forecast.
      Pains me because it ruins vehicles and has a huge economical, ecological and environmental impact. But we're so litigious here in the States, this salt crazed behavior is the new reality.
      Im jealous of your GS. im riding in some remote areas of the southwest US in a few weeks and my RT just won't handle some of the roads I would like to take. Than again, I love my, fairing and radio. Maybe it's time for a third steed in garage? I almost sprung for the 1250rt... but I decided my 1200 is fine for another 4 or 5 years.. I'll wait for the next generation.
