For me, nothing has ever bettered the Avro Vulcan at an airshow. The way she made your guts vibrate with all that power, the engines howling and quite literally shaking the ground, and was drop dead gorgeous with it.
Have you had the pleasure of seeing a B-1 takeoff and do multiple passes? I would imagine it's about the same feeling....... ALL THAT POWER!
@@andrewlorentz685I know this is awhile ago but I was asleep in my truck one night in Tye Texas when a B1 took off from the base there. HO LEE FK'N SHIT. I have never heard such a noise in my life and my truck insulates noise pretty damn good. I thought the thing was crashing. I was seriously about to get dressed and run. Or just jump out in my T shirt and underwear and bare feet. I didn't know what kind of plane it was so I told somebody about it the next morning and they said it's the B1 and it's like that all the time. I'm surprised anyone has windows in their house around that base.

B2's always make 2 passes at air shows. One level, to show how low profile they are and one banking, so people can see the "flying wing" shape.
The low pass over the crowd? Can't imagine they were the only ones though.

The B-2 is eerily quiet, most of the engine noise you could hear was most likely from those F-15's escorting it! Incredible!
You got that Right. Back near 20 + years ago one flew around Boston MA - there must have been an air show. They are so Quiet - and it hung at an angle in the horizon. I knew what it was - but it simply seemed to defy the laws of flying. Quiet - like nothing I've ever seen.

It's easy to see why so many people thought america was testing Alien UFO tech in the 90-2000's when you see a Northrop B-2 Spirit fly directly over you. Even today it looks alien. Such a cool aircraft.
Not to mention Northrop's Black Widow II being tested to compete against the F-22 prototypes lol

I'm lucky to live in southern Ontario because pretty well every weekend our Lancaster bomber(from the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum) is out flying around. Since most times it is at fairly low altitude, I get to fully enjoy the absolutely incredible sounds of those 4 Merlins!! The lovely bit at 4:30 nearly does it as much justice as seeing it in real life!! Fabulous videoing, Bob!!

The B2 Bomber shouldn't have had the escort so you can 'hear' it sneak up on you....very chilling to just see something that big with minimal sounds just a few hundred feet above the deck.

the escort is for 2 reasons over seas at airshows, 1. the tower radar cant see it coming so the F-15s are there for the tower to track its position 2. if someone did take a shot at it the F-15s can help with ir decoys, ecm, and also attacking the threat.

And these flights are going miles around. How well do you think the tower can really see a jet from miles out? They also have to track other flights as well. Not just the militaries so it’s a good idea to keep an eye on the radar scopes. 😐😐😐😐

What a hell of a show this must have been. The last airshow I saw was at Davis-Mothan AFB just a few miles from my home here in Tucson, AZ, USA a few years ago. Featured flyers included the Airforce Thunderbirds, with a few routines done by a F-22 Raptor, the local A-10 guys, and some vintage warbirds. But, man, this video is a airplane buff's wet dream. Compared to this, the events were barnyard petting zoos. These Brits sure know how to put on a truly International airshow. Other than Farnborough or the Paris airshow, something famous like that, I'd never seen such an amazing diversity of civilian and military aircraft like this.

I have to say I was at the show on Sunday, got close to a lot of interesting aircraft, could almost touch the U2 , did not see the Osprey fly which was disappointing. You got some great video outside the ground and very close on landing approaches ,Well done thanks for sharing.

I tried to give y'all a good show in the new 2040c F -15 Eagle this year! They've put a lot of restrictions on us when we're going over top of the crowd in low flying zone! I tried to get some of the F 22 Raptor or Euro Fighter Typhoon guys to give y'all sonic boom but they said the penalty is far more than they could pay in environmental fees along with many other fees tacked in there as well! Hope you all enjoyed the show if you were there! 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧 next year they've got a big surprise for any jet fighter or bomber enthusiast!

We live about 7 miles from a Naval Air Station and hear their jets fly over our neighborhood all of the time. I love to see them fly overhead!
