Hey Sadeth, the Garmin Striker Cast would be a good option to check out for a float tube! It doesn't have a lot of fancy features but it's compact and easy to use.

Ray-Marine ALL the way,... it seems like people (novices) get a little conned by all the advertising & what sounds familiar to them. Anyway, do your homework & then compare. Never purchase through obvious bias, hooked up advertising etc. These guys (companies are famous for the hype) Anyway, far be it from me to tell you. Just, Read, Study, learn the specs & quality for yourself. Never let these guys who are paid to promote, no matter how glitchy the product, turn your head. Lowrance Hook2??? You obviously have not used the Hook2.. They are crap! I have had three since July 2020 and they all failed within two weeks!! Their customer service is terrible and manned by people who do not know anything about the hook2 and can barely speak, write or read English!! I cannot believe you actually recommended this unit. Makes me think they paid you, really

For that price you can get a cheap hummingbird or Lowrance, Walmart has lots of them--- There're fine ;)
