    In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens th-cam.com/users/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

    Which one do you recommend from your list or not for the float tube? Thanks for the info.

      Hey Sadeth, the Garmin Striker Cast would be a good option to check out for a float tube! It doesn't have a lot of fancy features but it's compact and easy to use.

      @@intoflyfishing Starting to sound just a touch like a shill. Don't sell out, provide good, decent & honest information. A unit such as the new RayMarine Axiom 3D 4 Quad plot charter/fish finder 9" may be a little[lot more expensive, however, well worth it if you can afford it. Line in Fish on,Cheers

    I am looking to purchase one very soon. Been trying to figure out exactly what I want. It's been a long time since I've looked at them. I want the best bang for my buck and can spend around $500 or so

    • @slydawwg
      @slydawwg 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For that price you can get a cheap hummingbird or Lowrance, Walmart has lots of them--- There're fine ;)

      I would get a Garmin striker and save a few bucks.

    Ray-Marine ALL the way,... it seems like people (novices) get a little conned by all the advertising & what sounds familiar to them. Anyway, do your homework & then compare. Never purchase through obvious bias, hooked up advertising etc. These guys (companies are famous for the hype) Anyway, far be it from me to tell you. Just, Read, Study, learn the specs & quality for yourself. Never let these guys who are paid to promote, no matter how glitchy the product, turn your head. A few extra $ bucks for the best is beyond worth it. --- Lines out, Fish- on Cheers & good luck ")

    Lowrance Hook2??? You obviously have not used the Hook2.. They are crap! I have had three since July 2020 and they all failed within two weeks!! Their customer service is terrible and manned by people who do not know anything about the hook2 and can barely speak, write or read English!! I cannot believe you actually recommended this unit. Makes me think they paid you, really

    • @intoflyfishing
      @intoflyfishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope. Not paid. Like with many products, different people have different experiences and that was not the experience of the angler who created this list. Sorry you had those issues.

    • @WildRandall62
      @WildRandall62 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@intoflyfishing So you admit to not having any experience with the units you are reviewing? How can you even review a product that was recommended second-hand? I normally never even write comments but that question has to be asked. So here's my challenge to you, leave this up so other people will know the truth.

      @intoflyfishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@WildRandall62 What? Who said that? We have a team of anglers. One of whom created this list who has experience with these fish finders. I'll leave this up because there was no "gotcha" moment here. Thanks for commenting.

      Thanks for letting us know! We have to pick and chose which videos we redo each year so we look over them and if most of the products are still widely considered as the best or up there, we keep it until we have time for a full refresh.
