When the minister tells his wife, “honour his housing” and “… he could be beneficial to us or we could take him as our own child” sounds like the minister is explaining to his wife what to do with Yusuf (A.S) and WHY he brought him home. This suggests that the minister’s wife did not expect to receive a slave; otherwise she would have known what to do with him. This suggests that the minister did not go out to buy a slave. The minister must have come across Yusuf (A.S) and saw that he was a gifted child and therefore, he took Yusuf (A.S) home with him. WaAllahu alaam.
True. Ibn Katheer quotes a story that the wife was very young when married to the minister. I think, like any other woman, she must've desired to have a child of her own first, rather than adopt a child. والله أعلم

Ustad Nouman you are the best teacher I have ever come across. May Allah subhan watala helps us to benefit from your knowledge and wisdom. It’s so important for us to learn and grasp our religion, have a vision for ourselves. Otherwise I question myself why Allah has created us and sent to earth. I don’t think to entertain myself, play video games and watch movies. May Allah subhan watala strengths our grasp on the rope of attachment to Allah and Islam. We must teach our children to have pragmatic approach in their childhood. In early years a child’s brain is primed to grasp even a masters level books but we slow their brains down by only teaching ABC for good few years. It’s so important to strengthen their foundations in terms of emotions, knowledge, wisdom and Islam and let them to foresee future. Instead later in life found them sitting in a psychologist room for mental and emotional support. No wonder people in their 30’s, 40’s 50’s are seeing more and more psychological and spiritual support. Because their subconscious child is very weak. May Allah subhan watala ease our journey and strengths our religion. I have started learning Arabic with Husna, I’m at stage 1 but honestly I get these ideas that this course doesn’t make sense I want to understand Quran and Quranic Arabic why I’m learning genders of words. But I have faith in the structure of this course that by the end of it, everything will fall into place and makes sense. Inshallah I will be keep following Ustad Nauman’s teachings. May Allah subhan watala gives health and life to Ustad Nauman increase his repute in this world and hereafter. He is doing great favour to Muslims. Thank you .

MasyaAllah, thank you Ustaz for the explaination. Really i found strong reason why Allah always mentioned Prophet Ibrahim and other Prophets since its related to our Muslim Ummah. Such a beautiful explanation.
This was so beautiful, I'm literally in awe! JazakAllah ya Ustazh for breaking it down so beautifully...need to internalize this. May Allah reward you for your efforts.
I was/am proud for my Muslim heritage but not for my Pakistani one. Thank you for giving it a whole new perspective. When u get close to Allah u start seeing things from different POV.
@@ismailaden7 Yeah. We have to be mindful what is culture and what is deen. So we may not to cross any boundary of deen. On the other hand, I was talking about history.
This made me thinking , the wisdom of prophet Yousuf(pbuh) being in jail could be to learn the ways how criminals act and think. What schemes they pull of? This would be relevant when he is in charge of mass distribution of a limited ration supply. Like he asked his brothers when they came for rationing to prove they have a brother at home. It was done for specific purpose here but it might have been his general policy

3 words for Selection
Ikhtiyaar: comes from the word khair. When you choose something because it has good in it.
IsTafa: Purely one's choice.
Ijtaba: comes from word jabwa. When you make a selection based on the purpose i.e, best fit for the job.
just to add * Istafa: comes from word Safwa
This is what I want to do with my life, study Quran and discover the drops of the ocean.

Abati --- refers love and respect..
Yusuf a.s. has love and respect for his father...
I have seen [in a dream] eleven stars and the sun and the moon;
You should expect eleven stars , the moon and the sun...
One may say that stars and sun are same that emits light, but moon is the odd one that reflects light so it is kept at last...
But another implication would be He was disturbed by what He saw and he also know that what actually he saw in dream sun moon and stars are not the actual ones but it resemble some other things.
(He might have guessed that they are his brothers and parents)
Why did Allah choSe only stars sun and moon why not any other things like flowers, fruits or any other thing.

Stars are -- beauty, guidance and comfort. Guidance while travelling... Like siblings
Sun and moon play daily role in our lives.
Moon different phases regulates tides in ocean which regulates temperature on this planet.
Sun the earth revolves around it but moon revolves around earth.
In childhood we go around parents and some time later they come around us..
Sun -- clock--salah -- prayer timings --and moon-- calander for fasting and hajj.
Sun and moon are significant for life same as parents .
Any conversation between children and parents is not insignificant.
Kids speaking is important to Allah..
Yusuf a.s. -- "indeed I have seen" -- wanted to make believe his father what he saw.
" The stars the sun and the moon"
Pause
" I saw them"
He already said that .... But again he says it
" Doing sajda"
Another thing the stars , sun & moon are far away... He thinks that one day in my life i will be far away from my family.
And after they will come back...
But why so...
Feminine should be used ... But he used masculine (people) that means he already interpreted...
Sajda --- only to Allah -- one case
Other case sajda done to other than Allah
Angels did sajda to Adam a.s.
Magicians did sajda before Moosa a.s.
Brothers and parents sajda to Yusuf
Laam can be used for illat ( cause)
Here Yusuf a.s. is the cause , si that the brothers fell into sajda.

Angels were asked to fall sajda by seeing the magnificent creation Adam a human.
Sajda only for Allah

There is no a single person on earth now who is perfect. Only our prophet Muhammad s.a.v. was perfect.
Agreed
This Surah Yusoph series is very inspiring. Indeed one ayah is like an ocean that has no bottom and we dived into it and come out from it with only a couple of drops. Subhanallah. May ALLAH swt shower us wisdom so we may understand His words. Allah bless you and your team, Ustadh Nouman ❤
Already mentioned before but mentioning again, Ustad's Pakistan refrances make me more connected to these transcriptions. By the time I started listening these lectures that is 7 or 8 days back I was motivated to learn Arabic language so I have jist started learning Arabic and m loving the language...😊😊

I will try to protect him as much as I can. Inna ma' al 'usri yusro.. May Allah make him a great person. May Allah ease me. My son's name is Jusuf. May he has the characters of Yusuf 'alaihissalam, especially the good manners. Indeed Yusuf 'alaihissalam is a strong hearted person. Super inspiring. Maa syaa Allaah.

Ya Allah forgive us and guide us all Ameen
WA ALAIKUM ASSALAAM brother.. I am an Indian.. ASSALAAM U ALAIKUM.. just wanted to point out we are Indians and ALLAH has given hidayah to Indian Muslims and we pray and follow Islam much more than what was feared by the people you say “prayed for a land of LA ILAHA IL ALLAH”. Although there are forces against Indian Muslims ALLAH has given us much more than any enemy can take from us 🤲🏼
reality of present, hope of future, anchoring through past, in just two Surahs.. wOW. ALL PRAISE TO ALLAH!!

When u get close to Allah u start seeing things from different POV.
Sana Ahmed People have their cultures which they mix with the Deen ,I,E how they degrade some of the communities.
@@ismailaden7 Yeah. We have to be mindful what is culture and what is deen. So we may not to cross any boundary of deen.
On the other hand, I was talking about history.
These lectures keep me going. Thankyou for this!
This is gem ❤❤❤❤❤
