On Grief and Patience - Khutbah by Nouman Ali Khan

  • This Khutbah was recorded on September 15, 2017 in the Bayyinah Musallah in Euless, TX
    In Surah Yusuf, Allah shows His profound sensitivity to human suffering through the story of Prophet Ya'qub (PBUH), the symbol of patience in the Quran. When Ya'qub (PBUH) learns that his youngest son Binyamin was arrested in Egypt, he cries so much he loses his eyesight, as the news triggers the deep pain he was still feeling over the loss of Prophet Yusuf (PBUH) years ago. But his grief was not a sign of impatience or despair. On the contrary, it was an expression of his humanity and his absolute faith that Allah will see him through this calamity and bring back his children.

    Irrespective of these allegations or their accuracy, I must say with all my heart, I don't care. The light, the pure knowledge God has given to Nouman Ali Khan to spread is immense. The effect you have had on Muslim youth around this globe is immeasurable. That flicker of joy in my heart when I see when another N.A.K video of enlightenment and sheer spiritual energy released on Bayyinah is something I will always cherish. God bless you and may he ease this محنة upon you brother.

    MashaAllah, Just when I was thinking whether Bayyinah will upload khutbah today or not and here it is.
    Whoever tried to insult brother Nouman are just the fools who got played by their illusion that they will bring down Brother Nouman. People who didn't know brother Nouman they started listening to him because of these rumours to know who he is.
    Indeed, Allah is the best of planners.

    NAK - the ayahs you have chosen are very heavy on our emotions. Your presentation brought tears in my eyes. There are so many qualities in imparting knowledge by you. You are a motivator. Your command on the subject is a major reason for listening to you with keen interest. I don't have words and find myself short on vocabulary to express my sentiments.
    NAK don't ever think of yielding to nefarious design of the mischievous elements.Keep it up
    May Allah SWT bless you.
    Good luck

    • @iliassegha2174
      @iliassegha2174 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Amanullah Khan Assalamu alaykum.
      I don't think as muslims we should say something like "good luck" as we believe everything to be planned by Allah. A better alternative might be "I wish for you the best" or you can just straight up make a dua.
      Allah knows best.
      May Allah strengthen us and enter us into jannatul firdaus al aala without any punishment.

    • @iliassegha2174
      @iliassegha2174 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cupcakelover3457 If your comment really is directed at me you'd realize you're not actually doing so had you been more attentive.
      I've explained why I believe we should abstain from using "good luck" so it's not nonsense, and I don't intend to make our islam difficult, I just try to explain things the way they are in order to help and because I believe it is a responsibility upon me.
      If you're not willing to give up 2 words for the sake of Allah even when I gave you an alternative, maybe you should contemplate about the nature of the relationship between Allah and you. There's also an added incentive being that repeated exposure of certain messages makes them more believable and sticks more according to my limited insight, so you may be solidifying some atheist's belief that "everything happened by luck" while weakening yours too.
      I believe it is Allah that has the absolute control of everything including their faith, I'm simply speaking what I perceive to be the truth and trying fulfill a responsibility of mine. I'm not willing to distort my words to please people, I (try to) live for Allah's contentment and his rewards.
      If "good luck" happens to slip out from you, I'd simply advise to ask Allah to forgive you and to remind yourself that Allah is the best of planners.
      Allah knows best.

      Maisarah Saadan I know sister, we forget that Nouman is also a human being. No one is free from error. He will be accountable before Allah as all of us will.
      Some unbelieving people indulge in things like these because it makes them feel better about themselves. Being religious does not make us free from sin. The Prophet (sws) used to constantly ask Allah for guidance.
      P.s. sister, you are beautiful and hijab represents the ayah of Allah. Let's not use curse words in sha Allah. 😘❤

    What a legend. For those of you who are making lies on Ustadh remember, there is not sufficient evidence that is required Islamically (4 eye witnesses etc.). Whatsapp pictures are in no way reliable - I could make it look like I was having pms with your wives easily. Second, the same thing happened to A'isha RA, and if you read Surah Noor remember Allahs warning. It applies to anyone who makes false claims without evidence. You have been warned not by me, or the companions, or the Messenger SAW, but by Allah himself. Remember that. Salaam.

      Can you stop with the not sufficient evidence. 4 eye witnesses are needed for punishment. Countless islamic scholars have already said that he is guilty for the charges that were brought up. Everyone sins, including Nouman ali Khan, but what he did was an abuse of power by threating to ruin a person's lifelihood over this - that is someone who does not deserve to be in the spotlight of leading our youth/ummah, regardless of how much knowledge they have.

    Thank you for turning back to us and going on inspiring youngsters. It is a good topic to choose to talk on Yousef (as) today. He was the one to be slandered as the purest human being in the society, though Allah let him be tested and be struggled until the truth came off. But as the Muslim community, we should learn not to believe things and blame people without real witnesses. We saw how gossip can make people desperate and disrupt their life very easily and quickly. May Allah guide us to be real Muslims.

    Many many years back when I was a teenage school student, I read an urdu children's book about the Prophets in Islam.. the story of Yusuf A.S was the one that made me cry throughout my reading and it became my favourite story... I started to admire him and his life's journey and how Allah planned his life... Amazingly, now when I am a grownup and have entered into the practical world, i get most of the solutions for my life's issues from the stories of Yusuf A.S life through your lectures.
