Ustadh, yesterday evening in Mekke they reached the surah Yusuf while they were praying Tarawih. The imam was old and was crying when he started reciting it. I could understand the meaning, as you are teaching us the surah. I could understand what was behind the words. I start to be able to have a global understanding of the verses, as I am studying the Dream program in Bayyinah TV. Thanks to all these factors, I felt something yesterday evening I never felt before. I was literally devastated after this moment. When I started to follow you 3,5 years ago, you told in a video how much it could be amazing to understand the words of Allah in direct, without any filter. With my beginner level, I had a small preview of what you meant yesterday evening, and my only wish is to taste it again. I am over motivated to go through the whole Dream program. May Allah bless you and the Bayyinah Team.

So, what do you think God should have utilized to communicate with human beings? C++? LOL. Humans only understand human language, which was taught to them by Allah.
And there's no need to wait for signals. The signal already came.

      Just say peace.
To each his own view, if anything you're not gonna help bridge the understanding gap by going on with your own views.
This series is primarily directed to muslims if you ask me, so most of the viewers are, if someone isn't, let it be an opportunity not to quarrel but to at least offer something so they get to decide whether or not to take it, do not force it.
Therefore, to everyone on those sub-comments, if it is not for religion, then please let's all respect one another for our being humans. Have a beautiful night and may you find peace.

@Revolutionary Pakistan if you don't like stay away. You have no right to say something like this about Our religion even any religion. Islam has taught me to respect all human being.I respect you brother but I am not agree with your opinions. My knowledge is so poor but I know I am blessed with Islam and I believe There is no God but Allah and Muhammad (S.A) is The Messenger of Allah. I am not saying you to accept Islam I am just saying respect all religion. What will you feel if I disrespect and say something wrong about a person whom you love most? It will hurt you maybe you will want to kill me. Same way I am hurt that you disrespect my religion and the person whom I love most. its hurt brother. please don't do this again. We don't know about Allah's plan.May be one day Allah bless you and you will be better Muslim than me.May Allah bless you and guide you to the right path. Have a good day.

      Asalamu alikom brother
      Jazak Allah khair
      I have a question:
My son is 19 and asked me question that I couldn’t answer
How come Allah created people while he knows that they go to hell
If he already knows their choices...
He said that it’s unethical “and gave scientific example” if we put some mice in a dead end maze and some other in another good end maze and say they had choice ...
Can you please help me answer him....
      thank you so much

@@mieabosamra1 This is not Ustad Nouman Ali Khan's account. It's an unofficial fan channel. But this is an interesting question, perhaps this video can help: th-cam.com/video/hbd2HsVNH_Q/w-d-xo.html
Other than this, I believe that Allah gives everyone an opportunity at islam, even non muslims, and that if a person is going to hell it is because of his or her own sins or actions and the way he or she led their life. So i agree that Allah knows the fate of a person of whether the person will go in hell or paradise, but i would say they themselves are responsible for bringing that fate on them.
I would also recommend you to watch this short video answering exactly this question:
"Why will non Muslims go to hell if Allah made them non Muslims? - Q&A - Yusha Evans". TH-cam this.
      Hope this helps

@@mieabosamra1 Thinking about the mice analogy, dont you think the ones who do bad choose to pick the maze route which leads to the dead end, instead of a route that could have lead to something better. So thinking about in this way, no one put them in a maze with a dead end, the right path was always there, they themselves never chose the better option

SubhanAllah when the Quran is explained in this way, you can’t help but to be in absolute awe! The fact that for every moment in your life, there is an ayah that will guide you, you must really appreciate and come to the conclusion that this book HAS TO BE the word of Allah!
I never imagined that there could be soooo many lessons from just one ayah and the amount of benefit you get from it.
I’m absolutely hooked onto this series! May Allah allow us all to benefit from these beautiful gems!

    Summary(Important Points)
Surah Yusuf Part 19-20: The Economic Value of Human Life
    1. Qur'an is here to preserve the original scriptures and to set the record straight as the scriptures had become corrupt horribly.
    2. The western university doesn't believe that the Qur'an was a revelation. So they come up with factors and stuff like that.
    3. A caravan comes by, it sends its water fetcher and the water fetcher slowly lowers it down the unfinished well.
    4. Yusuf(AS) tugs at the bucket, the water fetcher feels the tug and pulls the bucket and cries "Wow, that's so great, this is a boy."
    5. They thought that they could sell Yusuf(AS) as a slave and Yusuf(AS) had already the slave look(no shirt, (probably) covered with mud). They saw him(AS) as a commodity.
    6. Also, they were water fetchers and so they were poor. So they hide him(AS) from the head of the caravan.
    7. When greed becomes powerful and when a society becomes overcapitalized, then the compassion or humanity, in human beings, decline. The people on top will not have mercy, compassion for people who are down.
    8. The people who did this didn't realize that they were setting events into motion that will eventually fulfill Yusuf(AS)'s dream.
9.Human life is more valuable than any amount of money.
    10. The Qur'an's account of this event is totally different from the Biblical account.
    11. In olden times, human beings were treated like slaves literally. But in the modern, civilized world, there are different ways in which this is done, only it is not realized. Employees are not given basic rights in some companies.
    12. Allah put a Prophet through this so that we can pay attention to human beings being treated like a commodity. And if we become supportive of companies who do this, then we are no better than the minister who bought him(AS).
    This ends the summary.
Anyone who thinks I have missed some point is welcome to reply but please give the time in the lecture when Ustad Nouman Ali Khan talked about it so that I can be sure.
    JazakaAllah Khair

    Amazon delivery through Amazon forest😂
And the thing about pharmaceutical companies is so on point. Here in India, we recently came to know that the testing kits were being sold at three times the price of import. Who was involved? The top businessmen and the government. People are dying because of how ill they're being treated, and not because of pandemic in the time of pandemic! they're forced to migrate back to where they came from because of the lack of basic resources. And they're walking! No means of transportation cz of lockdown.
Feels like a scene from some ancient movie right?
That's India for you in 2020.

@Revolutionary Pakistan Yes it is, that Islam of yours is a total fraud. Contrary to my اسلام, God appointed Prophets among the humans except for Adam. The Books are never sent down from sky, In fact, the books are the words of God Himself delivered to the prophets through Gabriel (the Captain of the angels). Quan indeed is full of lies because it is not our Holy Book. Whilst, القرءان is our Holy Book, a compilation of the revelations delivered to us all and it needs Muhammad to give the details, explain, illustrate, demonstrate which contains the date, time or place if the information are relevant and material as God is not teaching history or documentary. May God bless U with his Hidayah @revolutionarypakistan as the end is very near. U can see it today, how the unbelievers are being eliminated from this earth.

Another comparison between Yusuf AWS and Musa AWS - one was rescued by being lifted from/was held in a bucket and another by a basket. But where a bucket is used there wasn't water (the well is dry) and a fast moving river is not where one would use a basket.

Interesting fact. Syidina Umr ibn al-Khattab (RA) was the first person to recognize and build resting and water stations for travelers along their route - in particular, The Hejaz. A 2014 National Geographic article, Wells of Memory, refers to it. “ The earliest of these watering stations were established, precisely one day’s walk apart, by the Caliph Umar in A.D. 638. “A traveler is the person worthiest of receiving protection,” he declared, before pioneering the most sophisticated rest-stop system in the ancient world: waypoints on the pilgrims’ trails to Mecca serviced by forts, cisterns, guesthouses, date groves, hospitals, canals, even distance markers.”

They wanted to bury him, but didn't know he was a seed. Thoughts, guys?

    • @tazask7269
      @tazask7269 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

The idea behind this, is if you bury a seed you end up with a beautiful plant, flower, tree etc i.e. something small being buried becoming something greater from it.
Also the idea something so small (Yusuf as was a small child at the time) has all the blessings already in it to become something great but it needs to go through a process to become that great thing.
They thought by getting rid of Yusuf as they had freed themselves of something they hated and did not value. Instead what they did (metaphorical burying Yusus as) to Yusuf as started the process of Yusuf as moving on to greater things.
They underestimated Yusuf as strength to come through all the evil deeds they and others did to Yusuf as. Their evil deeds instead shaped Yusuf as into becoming the beautiful person.
      And Allah knows best.

    ..........
    Ayah 19:
    ................
Scene about a caravan around the well...
"A caravan came by and they sent their water fetcher, so he (slowly) lowers his bucket. Wow/OMG(یابشری), it's a kid(ھذا غلام)."
Depiction of a huge (pleasant) surprise when the scout lowered his bucket, felt a tug when Yusuf clinged on to it... And pulled to see what's going on and suddenly sees a boy emerging from the darkness...!!
Here ادلی means slowly lowering. دلّاہ means to slowly relent as used when satan deceived Adam and Eve in paradise (Surah A'raaf).
Here غلام as opposed to فتی is used. Even though فتی with a pronoun, like فتاہ means slave, they called him just a boy (غلام) as possession had not been taken yet.
Important point here is that these scouts(yes, its possible there are more than one) are just small time servants for the caravan and now they see a prospect of making some money by making him a slave and selling him later.
    وَاَسَرُّوۡهُ بِضَاعَةً
"And they kept him a secret(hid him to sell later)"
Here بِضعہ means a piece of something (eg meat or wealth) cut off and saved as an investment to be sold/invested later. Interesting use of the word as Yusuf is already "cut off" from his family...
Some things are not mentioned here, like Yusuf must have clarified or pleaded to let him go but they probably didn't let him talk as he was just a commodity for them.
Notice here that they are from a materialistic background of Egypt where humanity and human dignity comes only after money and greed and glut is the religion... Like capitalism in our times. Under these circumstances, Yusuf is just a found treasure...!!! So even pharma companies follow demand and supply policy even when it comes to human life and would raise the price of a 1cent drug at a price of $50. Then there is a class society where people can "buy" other people like "slaves"...!!! In a nutshell: NO MERCY
    وَاللّٰهُ عَلِيۡمٌۢ بِمَا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ‏
And Allah knew what they were doing..
Razi beautifully comments that Allah knew that their "crime" is going to set forth a chain of events through which this slave would become the king of Egypt... Subhan Allah...!!!
Here "they" may refer to these caravan scouts or even to the brethren of Yusuf.
    Ayah 20:
    ................
    وَشَرَوۡهُ بِثَمَنٍۢ بَخۡسٍ
And they sold him for a very meager price.
And even if the price was high, it was obviously not sufficient for someone like Yusuf.
According to Bible and a report from Ibn Abbas, it was an amount they would ordinarily make in 2 to 3 years... So quran is kind of hinting that despite the high price they didn't know that they have sold something priceless for actually a very meager sum.
    دَرَاهِمَ مَعۡدُوۡدَةٍ‌
    Just a few bucks
Reconciliation b/w quran and Bible by considering that the brothers sold him does not seem plausible by the sequence of events narrated in the Quran.
    وَكَانُوۡا فِيۡهِ مِنَ الزّٰهِدِيۡنَ
And they sold him as if they were not interested in money
Actually means that they just wanted to sell him off quickly and were not concerned with his well being.
So ultimately probably from hand to hand he ultimately reaches the market of Egypt.
Notice that he is a boy who was loved and cared for by a loving father a day before and now being moved about like animals in an environment with no regard for humanity... So its an immense trauma... Under such circumstances kids can be brain washed and used for any purpose of the owner.. But Yusuf AS is special. Despite all these tribulations he remains what he is. He is still beautiful and mannered and cultured... Back then slaves were a status symbol just like cars today. So elite class used to buy classy slaves.
Similar is the case today... People being treated as commodities in this materialistic capitalistic world... Employees are taken advantage of in the same way but a sophisticated manner...
Allah put a prophet of his through this to draw our attention to these atrocities and do something to alleviate them..!!!

I think as long as we consum without thinking, chasing the cheapest offer on the market, we are supporting a highly exploitative capitalist system. The danger is the exploitation happens most of the times at the other end of the world, but can be traced back to us. And doing harm but losing sight of the effects of your deeds/ buys you are in risk of not even seeing your own guilt. And sometimes there is not even a real alternative of fairly traded goods. May Allah forgive us. And the same is with supporting pumping poison into nature by buying food which has been treated with highly toxic fertilizer and pesticides killing bees and other important insects and using highly toxic cleaning tools. We as muslims should be the first to stand up for ecological and fair trade economics, but at least here in Germany it is the exact opposite😞
