"gratitude", "respect other's time", "treat others with courtesy", "when giving sadaqah/charity, you are not doing favor to those people, in fact they are doing you a favor, so sharing something beneficial to people it works just the same way"

I agree with your points. If you don't mind please seek therapy as you seem to be carrying a lot of pain, and of course seek Allah help to heal you and your relationship.
Summary(Important Points) Surah Yusuf Part 37-38 : Your Rizq Is Coming, I Already Have Mine 1. Yusuf(AS) went through the same type(darkness) of traumatic experience twice yet it doesn't traumatize him(AS). This shows us that no matter how bad the situation is the power of faith is stronger, there is a divine intervention. 2. Don't attribute your bad situations with Allah! 3. Patience only comes to those who hold on to gratitude. 4. The word "TA'AM" is indefinite(NAKIRA), it means "some food" not "the food". 5. It can imply that they don't know what the food is or they don't know when the food will come. 6. Some scholars interpret the "HI"(it) part in "TAWEELIHI" refers to the food that is coming but the whole thing is seriously off topic. The only thing we can understand is that the "it" here means the dreams. 7. Also, the "before food comes" is in a passive(doer is not mentioned) voice. Yusuf(AS) is trying to hint that Allah is the one who is bringing them food. 8. But it is very general, like they can think it to mean the prison guard who brings the food. Then he(AS) mentions "RABBI" thus specifying it. 9. After that, he(AS) says a remarkable statement, He(AS) says "I have left the religion of people who don't believe in Allah and they, especially when it comes to afterlife, are in complete denial". From his(AS)'s point of view, the words, though general, are specific. But they will just think that he(AS) doesn't follow what all the other people follow. 10. Then he(AS) repeats, almost word to word, what his(AS)'s father told him(AS) was a child. 11. This shows us that positive words of encouragement spoken to the child,in childhood, can have a lasting impact on the child all the way to adulthood. 12. Ibrahim(AS) was also alone in his(AS)'s youth, he(AS) was also willing to do anything to not give up his(AS)'s faith. So he(AS) is a role model for Yusuf(AS). 13. Shirk is not just idols, it can be your own desires, reputation, temptation, etc. 14. The favor that Allah lets you accept that He is the one and only God is the biggest favor and every other favor comes from this favor. You can have all the favors but if you don't have this favor, you don't have a real favor and you should be grateful for that. Gratitude opens all doors of blessings. 15. When doing "DAWAH" don't overstep the time limit, respect people's time. 16. Every speech has it's time and place. Don't overdo it! 17. Also, when speaking to Non-Muslims, introduce the father of Islam - Ibrahim(AS) like Yusuf(AS) did. This ends the summary. Anyone who thinks I have missed some point is welcome to reply but please give the time in the lecture when Ustad Nouman Ali Khan talked about it so that I can be sure. JazakaAllah Khair

In terms of being grateful, I've learnt the significance of that from Ustaadh's lectures. There's the lecture he did regarding Nabee Musa (AS) when they were in the desert and Bani Israeel were asking for help. They had been through oppression in Egypt, their children being killed, the plagues, their suffering under Firaun, escaping and fleeing through the sea into the desert. So they had really suffered. And then the first thing they asked to do is to be grateful. They had experienced all of that yet they are asked to be grateful. We can never be grateful enough to الله سبحانه و تعالى and we are not. There is so much الله سبحانه و تعالى gives us, so much, that we are not aware of, but we only think of that which we don't have - الله سبحانه و تعالى is Al Kareem, The Most Generous. S Yusuf, (12) v 38: "That is from the favour of الله سبحانه و تعالى upon us andiron the people but most of the people are not grateful." S Saba, (34) v 13: "And few of my servants are grateful." May الله سبحانه و تعالى make us of the grateful. آمين يا رب العالمين

Summary(Important Points)
Surah Yusuf Part 37-38 : Your Rizq Is Coming, I Already Have Mine
