Awesome presentation, bro!!! Unfortunately, your mic is only rated for "average boring speaker", not "INSANE PIRATE DUDE".

It doesn't matter about the audio, this guy is hard to hear/understand, just saw him today. He talks so fast that you don't have time to register a thought on the bits you do hear...

    This video needs closed captions.

The bad audio is short and clears up after about a minute.

It would be nice if this video had a close captioning option to assist with the bad audio.

Honestly never. If you want to have to be entertaining and energetic every day and provide extrinsic motivation for your students to learn, this guy's shallow approach is good enough.
The key to student learning is intrinsic motivation... making learning matter to your students' lives. Intrinsically motivated students don't need you to parade around in a pirate costume and act ridiculous, they just need to know you care about them.

It was really good, up until the point where my eardrums exploded...
Some really poor audio after a certain point.

Cute presentation at the end but did I learn anything from this talk? No. Maybe this is a bad sample, but if I were sitting in his class I would zone out after a few minutes. No pace. No slowing down to emphasize important points. No pauses to let me think for myself & learn. Cute trick at the end but I didn’t learn anything. IMO he should be a magician. I’ll still give his book a try from the library bc another teacher I trust recommended it, but this video is really poor.
