Found a fender at local salvage yard 1995 Chevy Blazer, came back home watched this video twice. Loaded up my tools and returned to disassemble fender. Took me about a hour...taking my time...no one in salvage yard because of coronavirus. Worked perfect. Great video ! Best, Tony
Hey Chris, I have a 96 Jimmy that has damage almost exactly like the damage to the Chevy S 10 you showed how to repair. I kept looking at mine thinking maybe I could do something to make it look better, but I didn't know where to start. With your help, now I do. To date, you have over two thousand three hundred views on this video alone. That's a lot of people that gained knowledge from your efforts. Thank you.
I'm guessing your down south or in the southwest because in Ohio we would still be on the first part getting the bolts out of the inner fender from all the salt damage...3 would have broken off already and 45 more minutes after that you would probably be kicking it 😂 excellent video man, thanks for posting.
HAHAHAHA I just took a Driver Side Fender off a 1993 S10 Yesterday and the Bolt I hate the most is the very bottom one and the dang thing broke on me, A part of me was like "Oh Yeah That's Cool, Now I Don't Have To Fight With It", But then another part of me was like "Well Shit" Lol, Also I'm in southern Ohio BTW and the Rust here is insane, I've got 4 S10s setting out in my Driveway right now and I fight with rust on them on a daily bases... But all the other Bolts came out pretty easy tho, I think only bc they had just been taken out and put back in not to long ago from the owner before me... Check my Channel out and you'll see what my S10s & Blazer look like.... I love dealing & Working on these little S10s & Blazers...
Quick tip - give socket sizes used. It's pretty universal on similar models for each manufacturer as long as they're not a drastically different body style. s10's, blazers Sonomas, etc in this case. 95-2004 are pretty much the same styles
shoot I bought my 96 s10 with a dent in the front left panel, went to pick n pull, pulled a new one, reinstalled it, a couple weeks later someone hit me in the rain, got the same dent in the same spot. smh. again, took that one off, back to pick n pull (which it's a pain havin to remove everything from the wall, multiple times now) pulled yet another an put it back on, I'm just waiting for that same damn dent to come back. gets easier Everytime lol!
$hit happens don't it? way back I'd just painted my 73 satellite. Plymouth. I pulled into a grocery store parking lot. An old lady next to me opened her car door up and put a nice 3 inch long green paint line on my door. It didn't dent the door, but scratched it good. It was an old lady and I was a young man. Like 19 or so. Respectful of my elders. In the long run it didn't matter much. I loved that car though. Only car that I sold that I teared up when I watched it drive away.
What about the vacuum reservoir located in the inside (?) fender well? One of the biggest PoS on an S10 is the vacuum reservoir as the nipple is always broken and no one makes a replacement.
I have literally the exact same damage on my 03 sonoma, except the hood rolled in a bit and I managed to hit it just hard enough to were I have a frame crack and my entire front end is unalligned
Do you have any videos on a 2005 GMC jimmy I need to know how to replace the side rear bumper the middle of it steel but the sides are fibreglass I have a damaged one and need to know how to replace it thanks.
Great Video. I have a 1998 Blazer with about the exact same damage to the Passenger side. How long would you estimate that it took you for the full replacement of the Fenders, Grille and Bumper along with switching out the lights etc?
My God that's a lot of work and a lot of time I don't have. I've had my 96 S10 since 2011. On my wedding day I was on my way to the church and a tree limb falls on my passenger fender and damages the fender...
Do yourself a favor and get a nice pair of mechanic's gloves for working around sheet metal and rusted chassis and undercarriage where almost everything is sharp and/or rusted tight.
Nope they change in 93 bud. 94 was the first year of the second gen. 95 was the first year they offered the vortec as a package and by 96 they all were vortec.

6 years later, very helpful as im a mopar person but have a 2003 zr2 s10 getting ready to pull doghouse & drivetrain
Great video, you explained and showed the process so clearly. Without you I would probably still be searching for that hidden bolt.

I'm not gonna lie, I relate to that too much.
NY... I'm never buying another NY vehicle again!

Brother, I can relate. Greetings from rusty Wisconsin! My 2002 Sonoma bolts break off with ease 🙂 Not remove, but break LOL
Nice and to the point. No long intro. Thanks.
Thanks for this video, two trips to the wrecking yard and I got a fender with matching paint thanks to your well done video
Let us know where you found them will you?
I want a pair so when I put portals and 40"s all around
I have the fuse box by the window washer fluid, and much more complicated to remove inner fender.
Absolutely the best video on this job . It’s going to be a major asset in helping me take my fender off . Thank you 😊

Sweet, soon I'm gonna buy some fenders 6 inches wider than stock and do the same with the bedsides
Спасибо за видео. Сейчас восстанавливаю свой Blazer 97 LT. Менял раму.
Excellent video. Thank you for your careful, clearly presented step-by-step presentation.

Looks like I'm in for a treat

Do you have a video replacing the front bumper for Chevy Blazers? Specifically a 99 Chevy Blazer LS in my case
Like your video's; very informative. Maybe incorporate nut and bolt sizes.
Ah ha ha ha size matters as much as grade and type giggle giggle flanged and grade 8
I have some sort of screw or something that attaches to the fuse box any way to remove it?
Hi, where can I find Fender for a 1996 GMC sonoma?
Are all Chevy s10 fenders all interchangeable no matter the year?
Do you have any videos on a 2005 GMC jimmy I need to know how to replace the side rear bumper the middle of it steel but the sides are fibreglass I have a damaged one and need to know how to replace it thanks.
I know it's not really connected to the subject but does chevy blazer inner fender work on chevy trailblazer ?
No
You have a right end tutorial?
That truck is stupid clean for the age
Is the metal fender liner attached to anything on top? I need to replace it
Great video! Thanks
Does the bumper have to come off its it's not mangled like the one in this video.

To many dam bolts lol
EVERYWHERE you look on 2nd gens, there's opportunity for weight reduction!
How to replace the wire that’s powers the inside lights and radios ? Help
You have so many dang videos it would be wise to link the next parts of this video.
thanks for the info

How tight do you get the bolts
depends what you are screwing into Sheetmetal 35# a nut 70# I use an elbow
what about the 20 years of rust, dirt, oil and spray paint
Do yourself a favor and get a nice pair of mechanic's gloves for working around sheet metal and rusted chassis and undercarriage where almost everything is sharp and/or rusted tight.
Never did care for those grease sponges. But it saves on hands
👍
I gotta replace my fender but it seems a lot of work
It is, that's why they charge so much in a shop to do it
What?
You're not going to fix that fender?
1994 gmc jimmy are the sqaure body ones this must be 1995 and up
