All in all a hell of an improvement. 3 tiny things that I think would help elevate the outcome. 1: paint or replace the bowtie 2: paint the tow hooks to contrast 3: get some new lugnuts. You got new wheels but reused the old crusty lugs which takes a lot away from the look. But if I saw this rolling towards me on the road y'all would definitely get a honk and a wave from me in my dime.
Excellent job! I'm in the middle of fixing up my '02 ext. cab right now. Also on a budget but I'm on the other end - I'm 74 and on a fixed income! My ride is also white and I have the exact same bed cover. Glad to see you were wearing a mask when painting. My truck has almost the identical dents as you had LOL. I went with a Blazer front bumper with Sonoma headlights and an Olds Bravada grill. 👍👍👍👍👍
Boys nice refresher you did really well. I love the front grill and the light changes. The bondo and spray paint looks really good. Not a fan of the offset but love the wheels. This shows a lot of people that they can do some basic things to make an old vehicle look better. Kudos to you hope you're enjoying the truck
Hey mate, there's no shame in a bit of body filler, fibreglass , JB weld, pu sealants or anything like that. They get a bad rap but at the end of the day they're just useful products, tools at your disposal. You did the best you could there with what you had available. Good on you
I love a good S10 project. It looks like you got the 2wd offset wheels on the 4wd. For the next set of wheels, consider a Corvette or Camaro takeoff set or reproduction. There are tons of relatively inexpensive options and fit perfectly. IMO, the C4 saw blades would fit your project nicely. If you're looking for a cheap performance upgrade, do an electric fan swap. A 95-99 Olds Aurora was a car without a grille, so it had 2 powerful radiator fans in a 2 piece integrated shroud that is able to be separated. After removing the belt-driven fan, I took the high side Aurora fan and tucked it behind the factory s10 shroud and it fit so nicely that no further securing was necessary. I used a probe style thermostatic switch that I got from Summit, and switched the engine thermostat to a 180* for a little extra headroom in cooling. I set the fans to run somewhere between 190-195 and never had a cooling issue after. The engine revs so much more freely without that massive fan attached to it. If you can still find them, an underdrive pulley on the crank complimented that even further. Cheers!
Looks good to me. I basically did the same thing to my old worn out looking 04 GMC Sonoma. Mine is a 4x4 and it has an off road rugged look. I bought an old junk yard shell and painted it with raptor line in black. Off road wheels and tires and the truck looks mean. I use it mostly for solo fly fishing trips and just camp out in the bed. Works for me.
Not bad at all. I’d recommend wet sanding the taillights and hitting them with clear coat. I wouldn’t mind seeing you guys install a stereo and maybe do some interior mods.
Nice work boys! 2 recommendations from a fellow Washingtonian: 1- definitely swap the old halogen headlight bulbs for some good LED or other brighter bulbs (Silvania Silverstar or whatever they're called) 2- should definitely go back to the junkyard and grab a hitch. They're easy to install, and is way better than the old ball-in-the-bumper one.
New job ! Next time roll your tape around your spot it will leave less of a line but nice job great to see young guys working on there own trucks and cars !
Once you learn to weld, you will cringe at this, but its a good way to learn. Bondo comes in a fiberglass reinforced version for structural spots. Also, you can go to Harbor Freight and get a stud puller for $100. You could have fixed most of those holes with that.
Looks pretty good, only thing i would suggest that is budget friendly that would look good would be to add some fender flairs if you plan on keeping those wheels for a while. All in all, right on and good on you for making that little pickup look as good as it does. keep it up!!
Yeah it looks good from a mile away but you didn't do the body work right you just filled holes with Bondo which will fall off probably in about 6 months and the back bumper you says that has no dents you can clearly see two dents in it😊
Aside from the wheel choice it's a nice spiff up but the music in the vid is way too loud and obnoxious. You should leave it out in the future and I'd encourage you to talk to the camera while you are doing the work instead.
everything was great until the new tires.

Good job guys! That kind of offset on those wheels is rough on ball joints but if you guys like them that's all that matters.
Everything was great and looked fantastic, until the wheels and tires. Lol.
good build
I love your videos keep posting plz bro
Any idea where can I get a plastic bed liner for a second gen S10 extend bed ? Besides the pick a part ?
I think I would have repainted the stock rims black and used chrome dog bowl hub caps with higher knobby tires
Thought the same thing but then he let us know that they don't match.
What wheels are tires did you run?
Paint the bow tie and tow hooks white for sure

Could have used JB weld instead of bondo for those holes in the bumper.
What size rims and tires??
Bring back fish tank vids
Where I live that things in mint condition😂
Y’all did her dirty on the rolling stock lol
Lots of good work otherwise
Good job
Can you give us an aquascape room update like do you still have them
Is it the 5 speed or the auto
Swampers would look good on those wheels and a baby lift up front
Looks pretty good, only thing i would suggest that is budget friendly that would look good would be to add some fender flairs if you plan on keeping those wheels for a while. All in all, right on and good on you for making that little pickup look as good as it does. keep it up!!

Is it a auto or a stick?
Asperger’s?
eBay has a guaranteed fit policy If you guys got the wrong parts isn't that kind of on you?

Yeah it looks good from a mile away but you didn't do the body work right you just filled holes with Bondo which will fall off probably in about 6 months and the back bumper you says that has no dents you can clearly see two dents in it😊
Badass job just 🤮 to wheels and tires
